I went and checked out a RIdgeline today after watching you review of it. Nice vehicle and surprised how roomy it was even for my 6'4" 225lb self. Even with my small travel trailer I'd be afraid of exceeding the cargo capacity pretty easily and I'm considering getting a bigger trailer this season. Thanks for the review of all the products.

I recently purchased a Crosstour 4K action cam off of Amazon for $60 + $10 for a 4 year protection plan. There are a ton of Chinese bargain action cams listed on Amazon but I went with this one because it was the only one w/ a good amount of positive reviews (4.4/5 stars from 200+ reviews). The video quality seems great on the few test runs I took it on but I don't have any sort of stabilizer like the Gimbal. At that price I think it deserves a spot on your next product review post!!!

Keep making awesome videos!

Seth, would love to hear back on how the ams guards work out after a few weeks of riding with them. I've recently started doing carbon bike repairs on the side to keep my bike community going and the one thing I notice is that very few bikes come with good, if any, gaurd protection. Chain stay bars and down tubes are my most common fixes. I end up recommending skateboard deck tape to most people or car crash film. Worth the price to protect the valuable asset of a carbon frame. To date, ive rapaired some 15 bikes. Thanks for the good info, Seth.

@mtbboy1993
@mtbboy1993 6 жыл бұрын
my concerns with G-form is that they got gaps, same with a lot of pads, at least the Kali got smaller gaps, but not sure about how they perform, not researched them. a sharp rock can get between the gaps, but for the concrete or asphalt use, they would be ok.

Johannes Nilsen I've got fox launch pros (no gaps, solid plastic front) hit a rock with my knee and cut through the pad and straight into my knee right to the bone 👌

I did not see the comment for it, but you can install the AMS guards with a lightly soapy water. This is a technique used for most quality stickers in the sign industry. While there are professional application lubes, a soapy water does the job. Prevents air bubbles, allows re-positioning, then you just squeegee out the water. I personally use a felt block to do that.

I have a soft topper with thousands of high speed miles on the back of my Ridgeline. No change in functionality at all. To be honest I have abused it somewhat by stuffing insulation between bars and cover. Still it works fantastic. Only downside is it gets hot in the sun when all buttoned up, but can raise the sides to cool if not raining.

Great video. Cool stuff review. As a sticky guy I'll tell you bubbles happen. Sometimes a wet install with 30% isopropyl to water works great. Use a hypodermic needle or a new safety pin to pop them. Or put clear bra on as a frame protector. If you geek out a little you can 99.6% coverage and nobody will notice. Hope the healing goes fast and smooth.

During my many years of motorcycle racing and MTB for training, and currently I am strictly MTB now, during that time and now I have always used Nitrogen for all my tires, especially when I was racing Karts. Have you ever thought of it? I get a 2000lb bottle that lasts forever. I never heard it mentioned, just tire pumps in your shop. Molecules are larger in nitrogen which in turn lose much less air, a lot less in my experience. I have also noticed that, especially in Karting, that the air pressure stays much more consistent in pressure during hot and cold days, just as my MTBs do. Just a thought, maybe you can touch on it some day. Keep up the good work.

Another cheap alternative for the seat covers are the covers that mechanics use. They come in both cloth (breathable but not waterproof) and plastic (vice versa) variants and cost the equivalent of one or two bucks where I live. As for the plastic bike stands, and specifically putting something similar but more suited for MTB tires in your shop; I think a 90 degree angle iron (L-angle? L-iron? Don't know the correct english term but hopefully you get the idea) would work if you just locked the bike in place by placing a bolt through the spokes and the holes in the angle iron. It could of course be rounded off and padded to be gentler on the bike.

the fun thing about the Honda ridge line is that its literally a pilot with a bed so it has a lot of the practicality of a small pickup but handles and has the interior of a glorified minivan

Seth, you effed up the AMS tape aplication. I had very little problem installing bubble-free, without the need of a heat gun, or mild soap water. That said, It's been a year and a half since your upload here so, maybe they changed the glue. But I then removed the AMS tape and got a full RideWrap kit and installed that. Pain in the butt, but good coverage, and I reused some of the AMS stuff and it had some bubbles after that. Price you pay for good protection...

been following you for a while but i just started MTB. Seen this video and loved what you had to say about those knee pads. Went out and bought them. they are perfect. I am looking through your videos, do you have any that talk about MTB Glasses or Floor Pumps or Short Liners? These are next on my list.

Exos cast!!! It got me back riding a few years back after a wrist break. I suggest using clear hockey tape to reinforce it when riding. I pulled the nylon straps out of mine...

I think you should do a video or two updating us on the camera equipment you use and the editing software you use to edit the video. As you're inspiring a lot of others to create their own channels.

Another great feature of the Ridgeline's under bed storage is you can load it with ice and use it as a massive cooler and it has a drain plug for easy ice removal once it melts

You could use a U bracket with foam handlebar tape on the inside to make sure you don’t puncture your tire. I have done this and it works great! I highly suggest you trying this.

Hey Seth, at 3.04 you show your dog jumping out of the car. Have you ever considered buying Sill protectors? They're expensive if you get them from the car dealership but eBay do cut to size ones or ones already cut for your car but a hell of a lot cheaper. I'd go so far as saying they look pretty good anyway and theyll cover any existing scratches caused by the dogs. I have one for the trunk of my estate as I'm prone to just tapping it with the pedals when loading my bike. Really saves on a paint job 🤙

The hooks you screw into a wall to hang shovels and such work great to hold a mountain bike when screwed in on the leg of a work table. You would need the heavy duty ones because they are wider and more V-shaped so it holds different tire widths.
