Awesome video. Hilarious but helpful. :) as a long lasting bollywood fan, i figured most of the meanings out of the context, but nice to know the exact meaning. There is one more gesture I really don't understand but think it has something to do with protection of "evil".... it is made with both hands simuntaniously ... some sort of waving, on both side of the face, than making fists and resting in the hight of your eyes, only not in front of them, but on the both side of the head (on temples). Can you explain better what is that and what does that mean? Thanks. Also, why is touching ear lobes a sign of "sorry"? Does that have something to do with ear pulling as a punishment?
@CelebritySketches2 жыл бұрын
Regarding touching ears, I think it is what most of us learn in schools as holding ears and standing alone is given as a punishment
@lb50015 Жыл бұрын
In schools as punishment we are asked to hold ears and do situps. Look up situps(punishment) in wikipedia. The fiest gesture you talked about is done by elderly people to save children or loved ones from evil spirits. It sometimes indirectly also means a person is good looking/beautiful and may attract evil eyes so to protect them.
