Dreadhalls is so good! I played it for hours on Quest 2 and loved it! I wish we could get a Fatal Frame style game with the mixed reality being as it is. Be cool to have spooky ghosts in your house or a thing that bursts out a wall to reveal even more haunted locations in it.

Here's some more recommendations: My personal favorite VR horror game is FNAF VR (the first one) it is not only scary but also has a TON of content and mini games that are all fun and will challenge you. Hauntify is a Mixed Reality game where horrifying ghosts will chase you around your home. It uses effects to make your house extremely dark and you are given a virtual flashlight. Lastly Into The Radius might not be a horror game, but as a horror veteran I still screamed multiple times at the beginning. It also made me feel extremely isolated and it has some of the best guns in VR.

I've finally decided to go for a decent horror game on Quest 3. This is the third horror compilation video that has mentioned Propagation Paradise Hotel and the Exorcist: Legion VR. Not only that, they seem to be quite high up on each list. I've literally just installed PPH and will try it later today. Oh, and I noticed that it's currently on offer in the Meta store with 33% off, so that persuaded me even more. If it's as good as many say, I might then check out EL. It seems that the developers also offer the Epilogue expansion pack for free if you have the core base game (sorry if that was mentioned in this video and I missed it). I noticed a lot of folks who played EL really enjoyed it but wanted more chapters from the reviews and the devs kindly responded. On a side note, I think VR could be tailor-made for the horror genre. For me, a lot of horror films disappoint or start off well, then fall off towards the second half. The only reason I didn't decide to delve into horror games too much on the Q3 until now was because I wanted to wait for some of the graphical updates for the Q3... and I had a backlog of other games to clear. Sure, it's not all about the graphics in a game but I think the more immersive and detailed the environment is, particularly with horror the better. Let's see if I need a change of underwear or end up smashing into furniture when I delve into PPH.

@GameListPlus So far, I'm really enjoying it. I can see why it's been recommended on several different VR channels including your own. I've got quite a good strong constitution when it comes to horror but I can see why many folks have a hard time playing the game or just too plain terrified to play at all, especially on their own. It's got plenty of intense moments. On several occasions, I've had a zombie right in my face and I'm frantically trying to reload my pistol or shotgun and making a complete hash of it because blind panic is setting in. I do like a challenge, though. I'm getting very strong Resident Evil 1 vibes. It takes me back to when I played the very first game in the 90s. Of course, the whole jump scares and tension have been ramped up dramatically in comparison. One thing I've noticed is that the voice acting including the main character is quite good. However, the voice acting for Edgar is absolutely terrible to the point where it sounds like completely unnatural AI. It just dawned on that maybe the devs were playing homage to Res Evil 1's terrible and cheesy voice acting! Who knows but I'd like to think that was true.

I got stuck early in the game and havent bothered to try again... should I? Or is there something better? Its the only horror game i cirrently have and id love something simple with good graphics and a lot of jump scares

@TheSourceSlantedRoom yeah, it is worth going through it as there are some really nice surprises. There is a lot of combat though, which is not for everybody. Everyone gets stuck in the cabin early on in the game. You have to burn the little red dolls as quickly as you can and then the bad guys stop attacking you. I can recommend the Exorcist, which is pretty creepy with a few jump scares. Red Matter 1&2 are also spooky but have great stories. The 7th Guest is not so scary but a great game.

I love Stranger things and don't get scared super easily, but stranger things VR was absolutely horrifying especially because of the dread. However I wouldn't recommend it as the gameplay is the most repetitive gameplay of anything I've ever played. You do the same thing over and over for 30 minutes and it only slightly changes each time. Way too long and very boring, only for hardcore fans and even then maybe not.

I just didn't put it on the list as I've played the original and the insanely graphically enhanced PS5 version. Plus I wanted to veer away from shooter games for this list, it WILL be high on my upcoming 10 best shooter list. Honestly, if you've never played it, it's one of the best of all the Resident Evil games. Don't hesitate to get it! Grab it through my affiliate link in the description if you go for it!

One recommendation: For better viewer experience, you can adjust the lighting to your room according to the footage you are showing. You sitting in a bright room cutting to those dark video almost have me seizure

Where is "Lies Beneath" ? It's a very scary and intense horror game. I you don't know this game, try it. You'll be not disapoinnted. Next year come on Quest 3 "Madison VR" from PCVR. One of the best VR psychological horror game
