Everyone needs to try these three Vietnamese food: 1. bo nhung bo (Vietnamese beef grilled with other seafood in butter); kinda like Korean BBQ but Vietnamese people put the seafood/beef in rice paper and wrapped it like a goi cuon 2. bo nhung dam (Vietnamese fondue in vinegar broth. My dad adds beer in the broth too. You dipped thinly slice beef, shrimps, calimari in the broth then wrapped it in rice paper just like goi coun 3. Bo 7 mon (7 courses of beef). These three foods are very underrated and seldom mentioned, especially the first two as it's often eaten at home and not available at most restaurants. Trust me, it's better than any of the items you listed. Pho doesn;t even come close to these three.

As a European, knowing Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Indian, Mongolian and Vietnamese kitchen, I can assure you that the last is the best. You forgot one important dish: thit kho. It was a specialty my wife often made for me and the family. Good job!

Mì Quảng was in fact originated from central Vietnam not Hanoi. The noodles suppose to be yellow. The best Mì Quảng can be found in Đà Nẵng, I believe it is where this dish was invented.

I have to eat MI Quang Heo once or twice a week. I load it up with the full plate of greens, chili jam, rice crackers and lots of lime. I get it with Tra Da for about 1.65usd.

I'm interested because you're local and a foodie 👍 I am very interested in Asian cuisine though I'm not always able to eat it what I'd like to. The best part of Mi Quang is the broth. Many people like me order extra turmeric broth. It is definitely a broth dish. Sorry to correct you. Its pronounced Mee Wan. You choose the protein. I like Mi Quang Heo, which is pork. But Dac Biet means special or loaded. Its arguably my favorite

Number two is garbage... Once the hotel reception told me the most recomended Banh mi in Hanoi is Banh me 25... I chose Banh mi stuffed chicken and avocado..round 2$ price and twas nothing special about it and i could only eat half. And the number 4 ate it at food street in nha trang only 1 portion and a glass tea for me twas over price around 12$.. or she cheating the price with tourist... I would prefer go to the Japanese resto or Korean resto thats best resto i can go in Vietnam.
