What power tool would you choose from this list?

definitely the new DPB-2500 and the DSRM-26000. However i'm really considering that new 21" mower! Excellent video Mark, i was glad to see this up. Any mention on release dates?

We purchased the DCS-2500T last year as our new climbing saw. Our main climber likes it better than the CS-355T that we were using. I still prefer the CS-355T because it is a beast. We also use the DPB-2500. Only problem I have with the blower is that it eats battery power. Just ordered the DCS-5000. It should arrive in the next day or so. We use Stihls and Echos as our main saws but wanted to try the DCS-5000 for limbing fallen trees and possibly in the tree for dead wooding larger limbs. We have used the DCS-2500T to cut tree limbs as large as 18 inches in diameter. The saw works wonderfully and is not bad on battery power for a 2.5 amp battery. Currently evaluating the new mower. It strikes me more as a residential unit as opposed to commercial.

A month ago I was sick and tired of the black and decker cheapie trimmer and decided on the Dpas 2100 trimmer I gotta say it was night and day difference I been warmed its for home owner light use but I havent felt like it lacked I also put some black diamond line and it was crazy good

Good to know. I've been trying to decide between the DPAS 2100 and the more powerful DPAS 2600. I read a few reviews saying the 2100 bogs down and cuts off too easily in thick weeds.

I've been trying to decide between the DPAS 2100 and the DPAS 2600. One of them would replace my PAS225 and the attachments I have (blower. pole saw, brush cutter) would fit seamlessly. I see Stihl doing lots of TV commercials for its battery- powered landscaping gear so this is the future.

It seems companies are focused on handheld battery powered blowers instead. Ryobi is the only one I've tried so far and it's not too powerful. If ECHO ever comes out with one, I'll be sure to put it on my channel.

What power difference can we expect between the old 58v chainsaw with 16" bar vs the new 56v DCS-5000 with 18" bar?
@MarkThomasBuilder
@MarkThomasBuilder 2 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. I reviewed the 56v a few years back and it cut a truckload of big oak limbs on a single charge. I now have the 56v top handle saw which is nice too. It seems to have nice power and a faster chain speed. It only runs the 2.5Ah battery, not the 5Ah. If I get a chance this spring, I'll test the new 18" saw with the 5Ah battery and compare it to the older one.

Hey Mark, great video! Did you happen to notice if the string trimmers turn clockwise or counter? Most battery trimmers turn opposite gas. It just feels weird
@MarkThomasBuilder
@MarkThomasBuilder 2 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. I'm pretty sure it turns counter clockwise as you're using it, just like the gas. I'll ask a product manager and find out for sure.

Hey Mark already in some cities in Miami are starting to band backpack blowers and any blower with gas that is going to be a big issue with big commercial properties with huge parking lots battery powered blowers are still not there yet I really don’t know what we are going to do Stihl and Echo have to really put a move on this we need batteries to at least last an hour or more for none stop blowing.
@MarkThomasBuilder
@MarkThomasBuilder 2 жыл бұрын
That brings up a good point. Unfortunately it takes a lot of power to get a backpack blower going. I'm sure it's something being worked on, but I haven't heard much of anything yet.
@victorrippe5845
@victorrippe5845 2 жыл бұрын
Mark I’m also noticing that companies are not being focus on backpack blowers which are the first equipment being band in several states already hand held blowers are not going to cut it for us commercial guys with huge commercial properties so far I haven’t heard of banning gas weed eaters they are focus on backpack blowers
@MarkThomasBuilder
@MarkThomasBuilder 2 жыл бұрын
I think Ryobi was the first to introduce a backpack blower. It isn't very powerful though. I'm guessing it will require a few extra batteries throughout the day once some new brands introduce them. If gas prices continue to rise, the batteries may not look too outrageous.

I just purchased the 5000 cordless chainsaw. Is it normal to leak out some oil when sitting, unused?
@MarkThomasBuilder
@MarkThomasBuilder 2 жыл бұрын
There are several factors to mention about that issue. I plan to make a video explaining it all. I'm anticipating the video to be about 10 minutes long. If it's a newer saw with an automatic oiler and leaks constantly, I'd probably reach out to your dealer to get their feedback.

It's really too bad that the mower doesn't draw from both batteries simultaneously. Maybe a 27" blade width would be possible with that? more efficient use of time. compete with gas already. ...no. Do like Tesla. Blow gas out of the water.

Fk Echo for changing the battery standard already. Don’t make the mistake of trusting them. I still have tools in warranty that they can’t even replace because they changed the battery standard so quickly.

They went from the big brick battery for the mower and chainsaw to a more versatile 56v for smaller hand tools. I don't think they'll change batteries for a very long time now.

Who ever designed the new Echo lawnmower should be ashamed, embarrassed and fired. The handles are weak and flimsy. The tiny motor is only a 1 kw and only produces a pathetic 3 foot pounds of tourque. The new Milwaukee lawnmower has 10 foot pounds of tourque. Ego mower has 8.4 foot pounds of tourque. Makita 8 foot pounds of tourque. Toro 7.25 foot pounds of tourque. Echo recall all these rediculas useless lawn mower toys instantly , put a long stronger motor and proper handles .

I will have to verify the info you mentioned. I was doing a demo of this mower and it seemed to cut well and move at a decent speed. I didn't get into really tall grass though.

Hey Mark! Now this guy had so me enthusiasm, and knew his product line. I’m glad to see Echo stepping up their game. I’d like to see you review that leaf blower. It looks a little, umm, ‘unconventional?’ But it might be a real beast? The mower looks alright, but just about like ever other battery powered mower? My wife has the Original 58 Volt Echo trimmer, and she likes it. Let me tell you, it runs well, and we had a problem with the fast charger when new, and Echo took care of us, no issue. I despise that trimmer, however, as the handle and the safety interlock are a pain, literally! It is awkward and a nuisance. Like I said, my wife likes it, and it is ‘her’ trimmer. I hope they ‘reworked’ the control system on these new ones. You had a battery Echo chainsaw if memory serves correct, Mark? Maybe time for a new one, to review and test? 🤔😃😂🤷🏻‍♂️ Enjoying these videos from the GIE Expo. Big thumbs up! 👍👍👍😁✌🏻🇺🇸

Thanks George, I'm glad to hear your feedback. Yes, you're correct that I tested the ECHO Chainsaw a few years back. I was happy that it cut and filled an entire F150 pickup with a 6 foot bed of oak. I'm hoping to get the new top handle arborist saw on my channel in a few months. I have one more video from GIE that will be out Saturday morning. Cheers!
