Say the LCS Class is already being decommissioned
@philsalvatore3902 Жыл бұрын
@@Chicago1234ish The first ten units do not have the features incorporated into later units. There has been a lot of learning with them. Those first ten units would cost more than it is worth to modify to incorporate the new equipment that is on later examples of their respective classes. The Navy in my opinion has failed on the LCS inasmuch as the hulls they chose are highly successful in hard commercial use. The Independence Class is based on a commercial ferry called the Benchijigua Express. The ship is owned by Fred Olsen Lines. It was delivered in 2005 and has been in daily service in the open ocean around the Canary Islands. Day in and day out carrying 1350 passengers and 350 vehicles in pretty much any weather. The ship has been so reliable for them that Fred Olsen Lines bought two more from Austal, The hull of the Independence Class is almost identical to that of Benchijigua Express, nearly identical length and displacement. The B-E cruises at 38 knots on her revenue runs. Yet our young sailors and our tradition minded officer corps can't seem to keep them running the way their commercial counterparts can. I think the design is fine and is superior to a monohull but the US Navy might be the wrong organization to get the most out of them.

@@jonlaurenzreyes1902 Did they make the main armament for them??? As far as I know, both of these ships had significant problems with their main missile armament and their only weapons were a 57 mm cannon and a pair of machine guns.50-caliber. Add a number of problems with the engines and the hull of the ship and we will get a very problematic project for an obscenely large amount of money. For comparison, the LCS armament is a funny cannon, a pair of machine guns and a short-range air defense system. 2200 tons of displacement. And all this for 500 million dollars. Russian small rocket ship project 22800 - 900 tons displacement. $30 million cost. 1x76 mm gun, 8 cruise missiles or anti-ship missiles of various types in universal launchers. 8 short-range anti-aircraft missiles and 1 universal missile and artillery air defense system. Plus a reconnaissance drone. Who would you bet on in a real fight???

well Romania has order two of French scorpion class subs for their navy. also, the Japan new sub class means Taigei or big whale and your right it does look like a whale lol.🤣 also, Anadolu was to have f- 35 but Usa canceled any more orders so turkey can't get any more. yes, it can use helicopters, but they are modifying it to become. Drone carrier with arrest wires for they catch them, and net and they can hold up to 35 to 40 of the Bayraktar TB3 drone a naval version of it.
@Legion-xq8eo Жыл бұрын
US didn’t cancel anymore orders of the F-35, it canceled Turkeys order specifically for ordering the s-400 air defense off of Russia!! As a consolation prize we are selling them new block 70/72 (viper) F-16 falcons for letting Sweden join NATO but supposedly those two choices aren’t related but just by happenstance was announced back to back days. Turkey announced it was gonna let Sweden join Nato and the very next day US announced they were selling new Vipers to Turkey!! To bad they bought that shitty Russian air defense or they could have a real carrier and if they was gonna have arrestor cables then if they added EMALS or even older steam catapults then they could be the only other country to operate the f-35c which is made for our navy!! UK was supposed to go that route but once they seen the cost of the EMALS they canceled that and ordered the STOVL variant f-35b that the marines use and added ski jumps to their carriers!! Several countries are adopting the F-35b so they can use their helicopter carriers as smaller carriers for jets but it requires catapults and arrestors for the C model and only other navy capable of that is France and they use their own fighters!!
