When "Mr. Irrelevant" (Purdy's draft position in 2022) outperforms a 1st-roumder like Darnold, it generally results in the 1st-rounder being traded. W/that said, acquiring Sam Darnold 4 (let's say) nothing higher than a 4th-rd pick would b very reasonable. Furthermore; McCarthy & Schottenheimer would b perfect in reviving Darnold's career. @@billybandyk0720 He's got a helluva lot more guts than Dak Prescott does in the clutch, thats for sure. Most of the "bad" plays Sam Darnold makes are in lieu of a string of pretty throws beforehand with some zipzag in the backfield to create time for plays to develop. Or he's a threat to get on his horse and take off without hesitation if he sees an opening in the back 7 of the defense... Dak in contrast came out of Miss State with the "dual threat" label as a qb capable of beating you with his legs as well as his arm. WHEN has that happened with the Cowboys? Has he even had a designed run since the breaky ankle thingy? Had he even run much prior to the ankle breaking that had him crying like a little girl on nationwide tv for crying out loud? Does he take any daring chances to put us in front by going downfield with the ball past 30 yards more than maybe once, twice maybe in a given month? Nope. Dak plays to not lose with us. I've watched every game Wilson has played. He's not coming back. His entire game and mentality needs to be completely torn down and rebuilt. Rodgers plays two years and Wilson's rookie contract is up, he's got nothing on tape that will make any teams genuinely interested. He's a bad decision maker, he's inaccurate, he gets Stuck WAY deep in his head (a lot like Darnold actually) yet somehow he's arrogant too. He's not respected by his teammates. and lets be real, he faced no competition in college, so we've NEVER really seen him do anything. This experience might help cure him of a bit of his arrogance, but even that im iffy on (im not sure if i buy the whole Rodgers mentor thing, but he certainly aint teaching Wilson humility). Once a spoiled rich kid, always a spoiled rich kid. I mean, last year i could tell from a couple weeks of preseason he was nowhere near on course to be successful. He looked awful in the most friendly environment imaginable. I honestly think he is QB4 on the Jets right now. I was just about to comment on how I have been saying to Mayfield fans for a few years now that Baker is not an NFL QB, and before I start typing I see a Baker-backer saying he will never give up on Mayfield. Loyalty is cool, and all that, but let's not forget where we were a few years ago. Baker's fans were saying that he deserved a starters contract. It is now clear that he does not. Back then they (Baker's delusional fans) were comparing Baker to Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. You don't see that as much lately. The Baker-backer in this threat claims that the Browns ruined his confidence. Lack of confidence is not Baker's problem. Lack of size, speed, and ability to read defenses is his problem. Baker was mediocre until it was crunch time and the defense knew he had to throw. Once it was crunch time, Baker was constantly sacked or intercepted. IT IS ALL ON FILM. All you need to do is go watch it. I used to say that he needed to go North of the border. That's not accurate. Mayfield cold serve as a backup, or a camp QB in the NFL. He just can't be under center when it matters. We already know what's going to happen then. SACK. SACK. INTERCEPTION.

They fired Hugh Jackson too soon, and botched the hire with Freddy kitchens and then the year he unites with Stefanski they win a playoff game only for him to get hurt his second year. In lieu of tagging him they should have given him a one year prove it deal fully guaranteed starter money. That being said if he couldn't get it done with all the talent he had in Cleveland idk if he could have ever gotten it done.

Devin bush will play with the Seahawks. Jordyn brooks is injured and will be entering the season. Nwosu doesn’t play off ball he’s on the line rushing the edge. I would say Seattle can make the most of devin bush.

Baker and Darnold not being one and two on this list wild considering they were the 1st and 2nd pick in a draft Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen were in

They shouldn’t be listed at all.

baker mayfield at this point makes no sense to "give up on.". let's see what he can do with the Bucs. didn't work out with him & the browns for a lot of reasons. partly b/c of incompetent coaching, injuries, & his own attitude. he gets a mulligan imo with the panthers last year b/c they were an absolute dumpster fire with Matt Rhule. baker played surprisingly well with the rams, especially for being thrown into the mix towards thew end of the year. the rams are a solid org & McKay is a good coach. I believe baker can get things back on track with a similarly solid organization & good coaching with the Bucs this year. but if he fails this year, he's out of excuses.

If anyone can make Henderson and Jackson better corners it would be DeAngelo Hall so I will wait one more season to see if there is improvement before completely writing off either of them in Carolina.

As a panthers fan now that Matt Rhule is out I hope our run of signing mid or bad players is over

I'm not a Mayfield fan. In fact, I don't think I like him that much LoL. But it's crazy that he's had like 7 different coaches. Just with the ridiculously hilariously run Browns he had like 5 coaches in 4 years. Well established high-end QBs that get just ONE new coach are given the benefit of the doubt yet this guys had to deal with more coaches than years in the NFL. I'd at least like him to get a legit chance with a decent coach for a couple of years before he's given up on.

Exactly. The moment Baker went to Sean McVay lead rams he was doing good.

I think the Browns gave up on Mayfield too early. He didn’t play good in the 2nd part of 2021 because of an injury to his throwing arm.

In all fairness to Bush, he looked like he wood be a quality starter after his rookie year but unfortunately he tore his ACL in his sophomore season and fell off since then

I think most Eagles fans are okay with the reagor pick simply because that is the moment that Howie Roseman stopped trying to be cute in the draft
