You should check out The Kung Fu on Turbografx and the arcade game, Ninja Clowns if you ever want to do a follow up, but terrible beat em ups is a huge rabbit hole. Also, the Batman Forever arcade game is pretty terrible too.

Hey dude, cool video. And I agree with you about just every game on the list. One thing about The Crow City Of Angels... It wasn't based on the Brandon Lee film, but on the sequel to that film starring Vincent Perez. (In my honest opinion, it's a terrible sequel, but it does have a cool visual style.) Once i got more games tho i ended up throwing it in the back of my closet and never touched it again. Its like they tried to copy Mortal Kombat's gameplay and make it into a beat em up. Game is trash-tastic

The terrible gameplay it's due to the game is basically a hack of mortal Kombat 1 They basically took mk1 and repackaged it into a beat em up,so the control imputs are done for a fighting Game that makes that the game don't work well at all...

Wow, you know it's bad when MK Mythologies and Special Forces aren't even on the list. That means those games have more redeeming qualities than this. Though if I had to make a suggestion, Highlander: Last of the McLeods is another top contender. Suffers the same problems as the Crow: City of Angels, but doesn't even have a metal soundtrack, only repetitive 4 seconds loop sound that grates on your eardrums. Puzzles that make no sense whatsoever. And released on the Atari Jaguar CD, a notoriously unreliable console attachment. The number of people who could play it to tell us how bad it is dwindles every year. Until at long last, only one remains who shall inherit the Prize: the accumulated knowledge of all previous Atari Jaguar CD owners and the realization their lives were completely meaningless. Like the Highlander sequals.

First and foremost, excellent video. You have another subscriber. I hated Double Dragon 3 for this very reason and I argued endlessly with people about this. Now I believe River City Ransom predates the Double Dragon series, it still doesn't detract that Double Dragon was one of the first. The Crow City of Angels was the sequel to the original movie The Crow. The game sounds as bad as the movie (sequel not the first).

Agree with this list. However the other Batman Forever game, The Arcade Game, is a whole other brilliant bonkers beat em up that seemed to have jumped out of the mind of the movie's Riddler! It was on the PS1 and Sega Saturn, I had the PS1 version, it rocked in 2 player. Well worth checking out if you have never played it.

Great List ! I disagree about Batman Forever, it was Batman cross with Streets of Rage, Pit Fighter, and Mortal Kombat. The Worst Beat Em Ups for me on this list Were Last, Action Hero, Bebe's Kids, and The Crow: City of Angels. I would also like to add the Iron Man Movie Based Video Games and Thor God of Thunder.

Great list of stinkers of terrible beat em up's. Back when video rental stores was every kids destination for game rentals,I was luckily enough to rent Double Dragon 3 for the Genesis and boy it was definitely a disgrace to the Double Dragon franchise,the poor gameplay mechanics and terrible hit detection was to blame it's like those developers forgot how to make a successful Double Dragon game. I'm a huge Double Dragon fan and 3 for the Sega Genesis was absolute garbage.

I didn’t even know fucking Bebe’s Kids had a game, and Champions of the Hood…da fuck?! But the Crow game I actually owned, and it was just as bad as you said and probably more. It is however based on the sequel which starred Vincent Perez who played a character named Ashe Corvan, so we can at least breathe a sigh of relief that this didn’t disrespect the original Crow with Brandon Lee where he played Eric Draven. The new movie coming out however…oh man fuck my life…
