Idk I just like the way the old money aesthetic looks kinda like pseudo royalty nice and waspy but very elegant and clean. When I imagine this I think country clubs , Croquet , horse racing, lacrosse, the great Gatsby, Lana Del ray , vintage art deco cars , tea parties , dating seasons , the talented Mr. Ripley movie from the 90s , halseys colors music video , and the finest caviar available for human consumption 😆.

i saw old money in "a parent trap" with the British mum twin and I thought it was so cute. The only thing is I dunno where I'd wear such a thing because I love this but I also love hoodies and sweatshirts and less formal things. I guess i'd have to find a balance

Yes, that bag is very nice! I love the ambiguity of items that aren’t treasured solely because of a luxury brand names they come with, but because they’re just of really good quality and craftsmanship. And it’s so nice to get such things passed down to us (and still in perfectly usable condition! >

i've tried many different styles and aesthetics and it never look good on me. my mom's been styling me like a simple, classy but clean looking and it's the only time i feel comfortable and pretty at the same time! i think i'll stick to this style 😊

Coming from old money on my dads side I buy silk, linen, real leather (no patent leather)and fur! Nice classic jewelry such as solitaire diamonds, gold and pearls! I got my first Louis Vuitton when I was sixteen in 1994 before they were trendy. I’ve only bought one LV and the rest were gifts. When I was a teenager diamonds and Louis Vuitton were common gifts. I lived in a small town so I got made fun of a lot especially after my mom bought me a red sports car for my sixteen birthday. Today I am super frugal and love shopping second hand. I would be happy to answer any questions people have.

Hi Alexandria, I personally do not have a problem with it. I respect anyone who wants to dress classy. However, I do find it extremely distasteful the way new money dresses. Very tacky!

I have been raised in a decently modern style of “old money” through my father’s side. As a teenager now, I think the best way to describe the way I and my family dresses is classy and elegant. It is not “sexy” at all. the modern take on old money through fast fashion brands appears to be cheaper so buying good quality tweed blazers and thick knitted cardigans is the way to go. A big misconception though is having endless money!!! My parents are both frugal and work hard for their money. My father purchased a company and works to maintain the up keep of the business so there is hard work involved! Some of my favorite day-to-day pieces are pinstriped button up tops, turtle necks, button up sweaters, pastel polos, and decorated collars to layer underneath cardigans and sweaters. I have also grown up wearing lots of silk bows. As far as pants, JEANS are okay!! I tend to go for light wash, absolutely NO HOLES, and a straight leg fit. Most of my bags are chanel. And lastly, my jewlery is gold with diamond accents, or pearl strands. Hope this helps! I can also answer any questions!
