Tips : 1) until prestige 5-6, you dont need more than 2 ancien earth (take lot of ressource + 1 citizen just for +2 resolve and less travel time). You can easily make up for that with better road/small warehouses and pump dry every ressource you get in a glade. 2) Building like trading post, Altar, etc dont need to be close to an ancien earth, always place them in random glades far from your base so you have more space next to your warehouse/ancien. Always put houses next to ancien and industry next to the warehouses. 3) move path is important, camp arrow should always point towards both the ressource and one warehouse to facilitate the transfer of ressources 4) go fast : years bring far too much hostility and if you know what you are doing, a good settlement (from prestige 1 to 9) should be over in 5 or max 6 years. You dont need more than 2 or 3 builders, the rest of the cizitens should be working in the industries/camp (tips also the rainpunk warehouse delivery machine is a tier S cornerstone, always take it) 5) dont reroll blueprint after prestige 4 (reroll cost more), its better to change your path to victory with the blueprint that you get rather than just wasting amber. Only reroll when the blueprints are all redundant with what you currently have

These tips were more useful than the videos general vague tips.Always wondered where the arrow of a building would be optimal.Already did tip 1 and 2.

Trade posts auto transfer goods to the warehouse? Wow this is revolutionary...although thinking it through I don't know what I thought was happening since neither warehouses nor trade posts have workers to move things

See, the whole reason I clicked on this video was to get tips on how to cut down on years per settlement. I managed to do the p15 seal averaging 7-8 years per settlement. But if I want to do the p20 seal I think I need to cut down to an average of 6ish years. Do you have any tips to do that?

When it comes to population the most important thing to focus on is Hearth levels. You want to hit 24 population as quickly as possible to hit triple level 1 hearths, and I'd probably say the first time you should start considering if you need more people or not is once you reach 36 (two level 2s and a level 1). Switching my strategy to develop settlements around hearth progression was easily one of the most impactful changes I made while climbing prestige levels.

Thanks a lot for sharing! The 12 pop step thresholds are really smart and a super solid strategy.

I appreciate these vids you've been putting out. I'm still working my way through Veteran but all of these tips still apply.

I always get some coal or oil on each run and shut down wood as fuel at the start.That makes me usually only use wood on buildings/recipes and maybe sacrifice some when needed.

Im not as Viceroy level yet. But wat kind of building is the cathedral with the witch-like lady?
@Ic0nGaming11 ай бұрын
Shes from the Forgotten Shrine, a special building for Prestige Runs. It allows you to sacrifice the Metacurrency (for the Upgrades in the Citadel) and/or population to give you special cornerstones to help you out.
@bryanlarsen756211 ай бұрын
I was really surprised to see it. Do you use it? It sems crazy expensive; better to lose a game than sacrifice citadel upgrades?
@Ic0nGaming11 ай бұрын
@@bryanlarsen7562In all honesty I have played up until P16 without using this once. I see it as a option for the very high levels, when you have already a lot unlocked.
@rac815311 ай бұрын
@@bryanlarsen7562 At one point, you got all upgrades done. So sacrificing useless ressources and a few citizens (after 30 citizens, you have too many people anyway) for crazy good buff (basically a huge buffed cornerstone) is extremely important. You basically use it 2 times per settlement from prestige 5 to 20 to get easier and faster win

The problem with rainpunk is that the penalties overcome the benefits, first if you manage to use it somewhow, theres the rot problem, second, to be able to use it, you need to produce rain ( second setback) , third, to get engines, you need also pipes, but if you have the choice to produce pipes you would always choose tools instead ( third issue) and finally, if you produce pipes, its so unfortunate that the numer of pipes produced at once is 3 and not 4. I think rainkpunk needs another approach. the only way i use ran is if i get an order that i need, or if i encounter a geist, and only for a one time chance on that type of building. Other than that i never bother with the collector.
@Ic0nGaming11 ай бұрын
Thanks for your thorough feedback. You pretty much see the same issues as I did whenever I wanted to use that stuff. I ended up with feeling better off without, as I already have enough corruption to manage. And it eats so much workforce (water production) that I generally prefer to put my production somewhere else.

I find rainpunk to be useful at Viceroy, but I'm sure that it gets to be too much of a burden at higher Prestige levels like you said. I think a good use for it is to get the 25% chance of bonus production on tool buildings and food buildings. I find I usually struggle with food, and having a 25% chance of double yield on a smokehouse when my supply of insects and meat is really low is very useful. If you only use Rainpunk on a few buildings I think it's worth it (use your starting pipes, and that's it). But again, that's on Viceroy not Prestige.
@iliasshogenov592911 ай бұрын
The only time I use it is when I get these automatic water pumps. Very useful. Or if I find advanced rain collector. In this case I may consider to use it depending on my build
@halfwarr871711 ай бұрын
I'm going up the prestige ladder currently at P15. I basically always use rain punk, the fact you can take grain + any water makes pumps a no brainier for me. But I think one of the main benefits is also just being able to give +10 resolve to any species when needed (usually 2 workers but sometimes can be up to 4 workers for the cost of 4 pipes). This allows you seriously weather some bad swings in the early game by just playing the impacted race into a rain punk building and cranking up the resolve (also note that there is no cooling off period like favoring a race, you can shut off the machine and turn it back without any delay / also switch different races in and out). My only advice is I think using the rain collectors is a noob trap, you only really want to use geysers, and I typically always just do the first upgrade for automation. A single geyser with level 1 automation out performs a rain collector with 2 workers in it for the cost of 0 workers.
@Ic0nGaming11 ай бұрын
@@halfwarr8717 Well, Rain+Grain is no Rainpunk, that's just a regular recipe. The Rainpunk Soothing (+10 Resolve) was literally the only thing I felt like it was useful. But when I realized that distributing my population just around their favored work was no investment with high resolve rewards too I never returned to Rainpunk. Yes, it's all usable, but it's just nowhere SO good that I feel like I need to use that.
