You *might* be overstating the power of hunters. Pets arent able to tank as much as you claim. I dunno man, its disingenuous for you to mention armor and resistance values to compare against warrior or druid tanks. Its as if you havent actually played dungeons up to 60. Hunters are definitely strong soloers, but if you cant range dps, youre going to lose. And quite simply, hunter pets at best can tank elites (with mend pet channel) for just enough to kill them. Im not saying its a great class. But it cant do everything youre claiming it can.

Yeah thats true. Raids for Hunters are not so good, with Tranq Shot and Trueshot Aura u will always get a spot. Hunters shine wPVP and BGs

Well keep in mind all the cloth wearers will be competing for gear. The hunter has really no competition since no one plays enhance for raiding. The hunter will generally always be more geared than the average clothy.

As survivalist you get Wywern sting. Pretty good ability for extra c-c. Survivalists usually weren't highly thougt of in vanilla, compared to BMs huge dps output or MMs PvP tweaks, but the Surv tree had fine resources for c-c, grouping dungenons etc if you knew how to use them.

You've got it all wrong lol. Bm wasnt the dmg spec marksman was. Bm was great for leveling and decent in pvp. Survival was hands down the best pvp spec.

@@brodelnaz I played Hunter back then. BM could put out some serious dps through the levels and with low gear dependency. MM only got interesting at end game and with good gear. Surv was appreaciated in raids, and I knew some hunters who spec BM for PvP. I myself went Surv with success, while many PvP-hunters went MM.

@@Odqvist89 again i don't think you were really there for vanilla. Markman was strong dps throughout vanilla and was the go to dps in raids. Survival came up top dps late in vanilla due to lightning reflexes. I played survival as my main spec back then for pvp for the cc and melee dmg capabilities. Bm you rarely saw at end game because mm was better in raids and surv was better in pvp. Plus the pets died to aoe dmg on a ton of raid fights

also locks are way harder to play, hunters are easy mode which is the main reason people play and continue to play hunters, its not just easy... its incredibly and nonsensically easy when compared to others.

I was considering hunter but.. this changed my mind ty. I wanna play Classic BECAUSE of the community. BECAUSE when we see rares we have to team up. Because we can't solo multiple mobs.. I don't see a point in switching from BFA to Classic if you still just grind through everything mindlessly.

warrior does double to triple the damage of a hunter in pve environments. They also do so much damage they cant even dps fully iin the beginnings of fights. They will pull threat off anything. You tried sounding like you could do anything as good as a warrior. You can't. They are the best tanks and dps in game.

Which is exactly why you should check out Kargoz the streamer, who used to love hunters - who will be manning a warlock for obvious reasons. Don't let this video fool you unless you truly love hunter because you are experienced/accepting all the cons of the class at 60.

When you play a hunter you will know, each one has some kind of skill. I dont remember now but I think turtles can mitigate damage, spiders can trap people on webs (pvp), eagles can disarm, and the list goes on

Pets have more health, more armor, do more damage, lots more resists, have a spamable aoe taunt, can be healed by 2 targets and rezed right away IF it dies, and 0 gear dependency. And yes I did. Maybe you never played with a good hunter. Keep in mind I'm talking about lower level dungeons. Of course a warrior or druid is better at 60.

Pet best EVERYTHING while leveling. Hunter pets are so broken that I doubt a warrior of the same level could kill one without dying. Hunter gets to sleep in pvp and still win while leveling 1-60.

I main'd a troll hunter my first go-round in vanilla wow, which is why I'm rolling a tauren druid this time. Druids can do kill Princess in Mara, druids can do Dire Maul. Druids can kill elites early on while leveling. Nobody cares about a hunter pet- if the tank goes down, druids can battle rez. Druids likely have a faster leveling time, since the opening zone is less crowded, 40% movement speed, and druids CAN HEAL! Healing is the main reason why I am playing druid over hunter. And believe me, hunter is dear to me. But druid is equal, or out-performs better in every scenario over hunter, mainly because of druid heals.

As someone who played most of classes to 60/70 between vanilla and TBC... You might want to remind all the people here who don't know any better that they're going to get ignored in favor of warlocks and mages almost every time once they hit endgame. Most groups would (unless they want less cloth drop competion and DON'T have a rogue) rather have a mage in blues and greens than a hunter half decked out in purple when it comes to 5 man, pre-BiS dungeon grinds. And, when it comes to places like ubrs kiting and tranq shot in MC... Your chance of getting a viable slot is evrn lower unless you're unemployed or have time to compete with countless hunters who wanted the easiest possible leveling experience - only to find out they're going to have to reroll to something that people want. Tell them that most hunters get "alt" status to become solo dungeon farmers for a reason (which is fine if that's your goal but just make a mage then?). I get people love to do the easiest thing so warlocks and hunters will be everywhere because those same players aren't experienced enough to know the difference. Want to be loved and non-stop whispered? Roll a warrior/priest/shaman/paladin. Want to be don but want to work 50% as hard to get groups at 60? Play an Alliance warlock. Want to be the ultimate farmer? Play a mage. Ironically, warlocks are what you should be boosting with this same video... Especially Alliance but that's another story. So, is hunter fun? Sure, overall, but be ready to work 2-3 x harder than every other dps for people to notice you. With any luck, they might even bring you along.

Tandem I played Hunter vanilla through to Cataclysm and I have to disagree with you. Because I use to sit outside Orgrimmar and duel 24/7 . I am 100% confident that I could still jump on and beat any class with ease 1on1. one tiny miss play and the victory is going my way. So yeah sure, 95% of Hunters will be ignored because some scrub took the easy leveling class, but ANY class can become a terrifying beast to everyone on that server, under the control of someone who knows what they are doing. Just like any class, you can tell when the player knows what they are doing, when they are decent, when they are fucking good and then those who are legit god like - and your gonna take those few people with you in raids/dungeons/pvp/anything, no matter what My tiny server back in the day certainly knew my hunters name.. Stormwind Canals for hours each day, 1v1ing any ally that tried to defend, kiting and escaping every single time. Sitting outside Orgrimmar and duelling for hoursss all day. taking out multitudes of alliance around Elwyn, burning em down 1 by 1 as you kited around Elwyn and the walls of SW .confused most average players simply with items and potions and professions, supreme pet micro management meant most people could barely take on the big boy before even dreaming of getting close to touching my hp bar... could be almost un-killable with the right positioning and escape plans knew exactly who of each class was good and who were ACTUALLY good . Get to know those few players that forced you to stop messing about and concentrate - when they finally got bored /laughing at their fellow ally players, now taking res sickness just to try and make it back into SW - all of a sudden your stuck back into a 20min 1on1 dog fight with the same player you got pushed out of Elwyn by the last 10 days. And it doesn’t matter what class they are, or how many of that same class you just spawn camped in a 1v7 with guards, they are the just playing that much better. Class balance plays no role at that stage of gameplay. (Wow sorry this post turned into a giant ramble of me reminiscing on the golden years... if anyone reading this still, pick any class you find fun and you will enjoy mastering it, eventually skill becomes the only decider and a skilled player will smash you on any class vs any class )
