I just started a new char in PoE 1 to familiarize myself again with ARPG mechanics after not playing for 4 years. I really approve of the new gem mechanic because finding suitable equipment with the proper socket and link setup or - god forbid - trying to craft it is a gigantic pain in the ass.

quick question for you, and you may not know yet, will they have an auction house for selling gear for mats or will you have to use a trade site like POE1 had and a person will go into the "constant whisper person/persons, go to their hideout, trade" timesink? Would be much easier to, imo, to have a trade/auction house mechanism to sell gear vs having to interact with someone else

trade site - but there is the Exchange for currency/crafting orbs and GGG know it'd be easier, but they don't want that level of non-social interaction

Is still non social since the trade site is OUTSIDE the game, nobody interacts over trading items because they have no real value besides liquid currency​@@TMek42

poe 1 last 2 years made several improvements for new players too , last league you could also respec the tree with gold for example

Thanks for the video! Just for your info: Something is off with your microphone during recording. It's some kind of compression, which takes away frequencies and therefore doesn't sound natural. Hope that helps...

I have a question, watching a lot of the gameplay it feels as if when a minion dies a timer begins. 7s countdown. If no other minion dies, when countdown completes a minion is summoned. However if another minion is downed, this 7s countdown resets and now you're 2 minions down and awaiting a summon. Again, if a 3rd dies before the 7s is over, it resets and you're now 3 minions down....rinse repeat until you have none. Is this how it is? Am I misunderstanding what I'm seeing? Can someone explain? Thanks in advance and apologies if Ive gotten this totally wrong. Just seems like a real big problem if your minions all just get wrecked and yeah auto summon is good but not if it can't keep them alive!

Ascencions can be refunded within the same tree but you cannot change trees

If I die on a map it’s out. Straight forward, I love that, there is actually a stake. What I don’t know, if I finish a map, can I rerun it? For an instance if I have a good map with breach, and a boss on it and I want to farm it?

The bad news is you can’t. The good good news is it will be easy to put the mechanics you want, eg breach, in all your maps.

Yes you can. All abilities are available for every class to use. The only limitation is sometimes you need a specific weapon type to use the skills you want. Eg most of the monk skills will require a quarter staff but the minion skills are not tied to anything from what I’ve seen.

Early access you pay for. Free to play on full release which could be a year away

On the 6th will be Early Access and for that you will have to pay at least 30$ (and have MTX worth of currency for that amount in the game). Full release will be 6-12 months later and it will be Free to Play.

depends , if it is trading currency you can do it in the in/game auction house with gold , if you want a specific item the website is much easier than anything the developers could put in game since peple spend hundreds of millions of dollars on making browsers be good at searching things because of how complex the items are and how many items are listed , you can even use your phone to send trading invites in case you use console and dont have a pc

I’m on console and in POE1 I just listed my items for sale in stash tab, received offers and either accepted or rejected. To buy I just went to the trading board in game, searched for what I wanted and made an offer which was accepted or rejected. It was simple. Have never whispered or been to anyone’s hideout to trade ever. Really hoping it works the same in POE2.

THIS so many content creators and early "build guides" dunno this and suggest this, sure most come from d4 or other and didnt play poe yet or not enough and thats fair its a complicated game and not everybody can know every little detail, but then dont suggest builds/skill combos that wont work pls

Are we sure it just hasn't changed though, it definitely has for monsters. You can evade spells because spells/attacks are both treated as hits now and aren't separate things. Case in point the game is suggesting he put added chaos damage on spells and allowed him to do it, that most likely means the rules have just changed.

Dont know how the new gem system will feel it just being a menu. But for leveling it will be so much better. In poe1 leveling just sucks because "oh new gear, what sockets? oh... no new gear" and you get a upgrade maybe once per 10 levels lol

you say make sure i can beat the boss, gear is good enough, build is good enough before challenging the boss. how do i know if my class is good enough to beat a boss? are they level capped? can i somehow compare my stats? is there a percentage of win/loss ratio somewhere? or do i fight it and die to then know my character aint shit at the moment?

Wait I thought they removed life nodes from the tree? Not completely but it’s extremely rare. Life is now gained more from stats and gear . Correct me if I’m wrong but I think it’s correct

You cannot save skill gems to use as support gems, as mentioned in the video. Skill gems can create new skill gems or upgrade existing ones.

The only thing you gotta look out for is ascendencies!

The only thing that can’t be changed on your character, is the ascension tree. Once you pick one, it’s picked. The nodes can be refunded, but you can’t swap actual trees. That’s the only thing that can be “bricked”
