Alex Honnold is the only human to ever free solo ascent El Capitan in Yosemite National Park... It is by far the most impressive athletic achievement in the history of humankind (and he's done it twice) 2,900-foot route vertical rock formation which is widely considered the most impressive rock climbing route on the planet. BTW, El Capitan is also one of the only natural wonders that is more impressive than anyone can ever imagine. If you have not seen it live, I can honestly say, it does not disappoint. The even think of climbing that wall with out a rope, and alone, is unimaginable. Keep in mind, that Alex is the world's best freeclimber, and there is one section of the climb that he is successful only 70% of his attempts. Deon Sanders has nothing on him (BTW, Bo Jackson could have been an MVP in a Superbowl and World Series if he did not have a career ending injury)

Its much easier to design a suit to resist a 101 kpa (14.7 psi) pressure difference suit for space than an approximately 100,000 kPa or 15,000 psi suit for the deapest depths of the ocean. Edit: Thought I'd add a little Dad science humour. Its 1000 times easier.

I don't believe there can be such a thing as a "humane death penalty", and I'm not opposed to the death penalty either. As for it being a "deterrent" it isn't, never has been, that's why the US prison system has the highest recidivism rate in the world. Other nations with prisons that treat inmates like human beings have almost no repeat offenders, and no death penalty either.

The death penaltys only true use is to remove those individuals who are beyond all redemption. Again, as I said before, the US has the worst repeat offenders rate in the world, and executes more people than any nation except dictatorships, so the very concept that death is a criminal deterrent is laughable, thats just facts. Like I said again I do not oppose the death penalty, but I'm also a realist, and facts don't care about opinions.
