Selena was gunned down by a criminal who was, unfortunately, trusted by Selena and her family for many years. There really isn't a way to justify a claim of better or worse than "The Bodyguard" as there are far too many differences in circumstances/aspects of the two films, from fictional vs. true-crime, to pre-meditated obsessed desire to have or eliminate the object of one's obsession vs. panicked, half-hearted and remorseful murder caused during in-the-moment passion.
