Only one year? Amazing to see how you’ve developed and for the inspiration. Even though I’ve been slowly and haphazardly downsizing for several years, I’ve only become intentional about it in the past year.

This is so practical and inspirational. I love minimalism and I have for years - but there is always more to reduce in order to bring about these benefits. I especially appreciate your comments about the relationship between stuff and needing to clean - a big deal in a family home. Editing to add: also, your film-making and story-telling skills are so professional and very soothing.

I really enjoying watching your videos! It's a pleasure to join you on your journey. As I'm also a big fan of self development, meditation, and so on, I just recently realized that this is also just a "bubble". What I mean by this, is that often people make you feel like when meditate, do the wim hof method, become a minimalist, delete social media, you would become finally happy. And I've "fallen" for this a couple of times, just to realize after a few months, that I'm still not feeling much better. Optimizing your life, always being intentionally doesn't necessarily bring joy and happiness. I'm also convinced of this lifestyle, but also realize that I don't allow myself time be unintentional, making me feel bad whenever I'm not productive, watching unnecessary youtube videos etc. Still this is just what I've realized recently and what I'm thinking a lot about at the moment. Maybe this is also interesting for you to reflect on your journey from a different perspective. Nevertheless, I really enjoy watching your stuff and it inspires me to focus on myself.

Thanks for this. I am a native English speaker and sometimes find the words you speak hard to understand - I worked out this is due to your stress on the wrong syllable eg purCHASE should be PURchase and or else equal weight. PerFECT should be PERfect. Priority should be priORity. Sharing because I think it would help you. Generally, your accent is pretty clear and a very nice voice.

There is several things I have bought that is just there for decorations or i just like it. personally i sometimes buy things when i travel or several things to be honest. These things are just for decorations and serves as a memory of my trips. I feel like the stereotypical minimalist room looks ugly. You know alot of plants, white and IKEA furniture. Minimalism is also a design aspect and as long as it is not cluttered with things i think my space looks good. I try to decorate my space with either stuff i have made myself (paintings or potting) or cool things like that. Have any ideas for a minimalistic design that is not japanese or scandinavian?
