Brett, what do you think of Total Defense ? I've always been a little suspicious of Kaspersky. Recently I had my pc in the shop. and the owner told me he only uses Total Defense. He put it on my machine and I love it. It replaces decades of relying on Norton, which is very expensive these days. Total Defense was $75.

Anydesk, it's garbage! Our network slows down when a single user is logged in. Network traffic activity goes through the roof. Kaspersky AV is an excellent Anti-virus program. No issues with over 20 years of continuous use. Whilst understandable for US government departments and contractors, for the average person, it's unnecessary fearmongering to advise against installing the product and definitely controversial. Some could easily describe Microsoft, Norton and McAfee as companies that are also dangerous to have their software installed on an individual's computer.
@MattStevens98242 ай бұрын
This channel is actually fair so as jaded as I am, I gotta agree that Kaspersky is to be avoided. I'd pick Bitdef over it any day. The difference is WHERE does the info go to. Even if the other companies spy on your activity and credentials, the info stays on home soil. With Russia, they got a whole lot of problems with leaks going to different organizations. People just want their data to stay on home soil.
@theresurrection65612 ай бұрын
No need to use it. Microsoft Defender and free Malwarebytes is all you need.
@eriolduterion88552 ай бұрын
@@MattStevens9824 My long time anti-virus has been Malwarebytes, both free and paid versions, and I can also recommend Avast Antivirus. Keeping data at home - that has ALWAYS been my objection to ANY "cloud" function. If you don't know WHICH computer your data is on, you do not have control of your data.

I hate to hear that Real Player is no longer a good player. I used it in its hay day. I have not used it for a number of years. I will add, that after I had stopped using Real Player, I noticed that it was going down hill and was hard to find; so, I not surprised it is on a don't use list.
@Thurgosh_OGАй бұрын
Realplayer is easy to find and this video didn't really say what the problem with it is. It works, plays videos and music and can download online content for later viewing. Seems to be ok to me though I don't use its browser at all and it does play some files that others can't, including damaged videos, so It's still around and still works even if some people don't like it.

uTorrent - I know this will be a completely foreign concept, but you don't HAVE to run the latest version of every program. Yes, I know that idea is shocking, but "upgrading" to the latest version of every piece of software you use isn't mandatory. Version 2.0.4 of uTorrent still works just fine and has no adware or spyware. Not to mention that it's less than half a meg in just a single file that doesn't even need to be installed. Which I guess doesn't matter to anyone, now that a "low end" system is a Ryzen processor and 30GB of RAM...
