I LOVE number 10! One of my favorite things about this hobby. Loads of people who are new to the hobby look for a "recipe" for a great tank, but there is no exact set of equipment or light setting that work for any certain tank. Each environment has so many different variables that you can't make generalizations. When it comes to aquascaping, the only certain thing is that every tank is unique. There are many paths to many different results and it does take an open mind and a willingness to learn to proceed. Thank you as always for great content!

I've attained a lot of success ridding tanks of algae and growing plants successfully but over time with a layered substrate. Yes, low tech is such a different world of aquarium/fish keeping than high tech not better or worse though. I very much appreciate all the time and skill used to create such imaginative, dimensional and emotional art pieces in aquascaping videos. it's really incredible. I also appreciate your goal at attaining perfection. It's a noble endless endeavor. I am trying to let go but still keep learning. I like your channel because of this and also the personality/character of the channel. I'm not sure CO2 would help my aquariums right now or how to apply it to the type of aquariums I have. I've been considering it though as mainly I love to grow plants as well as keeping fish healthy.

Is it better for aquarium plants to have straight 7 or 8 hours light, rather than a split photo period I have low to medium light plants. currently doing a split photo period of 7 hours but certain plants are covered in a light brown type of algae .
@GreenAquaShop2 ай бұрын
We usually not recommend the split one. Straight 7hrs if you have intense light works perfect.

Question: My source water pH is 6, my tank water pH is 6.8. By injecting co2 the pH drops to 5.8 which is 1 unit. Its a dutch scape with no hard scape to increase pH. My tank gets a lot of hair algae and bba. After every water change I have a lot of hair algae. what could be the reason for increasing tank ph when my source water is 6? tank temp maintained at 23 degrees celcius. there are a lot of bba as well in the tank . some help is really appreciated.

I had no plants in my tank up until recently. I added Anubias and Java Fern, and now I think I have blackbeard algae.
@GreenAquaShop7 ай бұрын
Make sure you clean the tank regularly. Also the filter is not disturbing the substrate level. Avoid overfeeding etc. You can scrape off this algae from decors or do a 5-7 days blackout to help with the plants.
@Philobr7 ай бұрын
@GreenAquaShop thanks for the advice, I did have the lights on a bit more than usual so they've been off since I noticed it.

Hi , Can u help me please . I have my tank for 2 months now and I still can’t get rid of diatoms brown algae . Everywhere I read it said it may eventually go away but all my lovely plants are cover this brown algae and it’s so hard to clean all of it. Please let me know ow what I can do :)
@GreenAquaShop4 ай бұрын
I would test the water for silicate first. If it is too much, you can use filter media like JBL Silicate Ex, Easy Life Bio-Exit Silicate, or Seachem PhosGuard. Also, make sure you have enough algae eaters in your aquarium: pulse.ly/kiwznp8eos

3:29 Hey, 50% of weekly change is crazy!!! Expensive, useless, not eco friendly. Also because if you use osmotic water, it means that you lost 1:5 litres off. The issue is not only the price of your water change, but rather the Environment impact. "Water" will be a dramatic issue in the next times, be responsible for this. I usually change 15-20% every 10 day s with pure and filtered rain water. Re-using old water for my plants. I hope you will recommend this approach in your next videos. We Aquarists must be also ethically responsible To the Hearth . Do you agree or not?
@MrFildur8 ай бұрын
It is 0 problems do heavy water changes if your country have np with water. Most european countries have no problems at all. Problem in our countries is it rain all the d-mn time :-) So: ofc be careful with water if that make problems in your country. Othervise do as much water changes as you want.
@dnoop_sogg8 ай бұрын
Yeah man you dont understand the Watercycle right if you say something like this. Absolute nonsense. It is just like MrFildur said. Its like with food; There simply isn‘t a global Food shortage but an unequal distribution of it.

Oh, if algae was as easy to manage as this video to watch... 🙄
@GreenAquaShop8 ай бұрын
Sometimes, it could be challenging. This is why we also try to keep the basics the same in the showroom and on location. To minimize the risk. The surprise came earlier this year when something went wrong-for example, the too-cold environment. As soon as our aquarium water got colder (around 18C), algae appeared. 🙃
