Hi Tommy, great video. I have a silly question here, my tank's water is decreasing everyday. What would be the causes of it?
@Monyet253 Жыл бұрын
If it's an open top aquarium, it's probably just evaporation. I lose about an inch a week in some taps. You can just top it up between water changes.
@alesbreznjak2952 жыл бұрын
I saw, that you use reducers on the filter hoses. Is this ok for the filters itself. Can this be a problem in operating the filter in long period of time.. What kind of reducers are those 16/22 to 12/16? Thank you for your answer
@ravijeetun6573 ай бұрын
Same question here. The video description shows a 17mm lily pipe was used. The filter supports 16/22mm pipe. Then why a reducer was used. It's a bit confusing here. I believe a 13mm lily pipe was used instead that's why reducer was installed. If my guess is right, then the video description is incorrect. Does a Reducer applies stress on the filter performance over time???

Hi, great video and really helps me to understand how to start up my aquarium. I’m Allmost completly new, so Maybe it’s an stupid question, but What temperature of the water you need to have with the water change? Can it be cold water or does it need to be around 24 degrees?
@stoneysscapes7544 Жыл бұрын
In case someone in the future is not sure I'll be happy to offer a good answer. It's always best to have a couple of accurate temperature checkers and definitely matching the precise temp is the only way to process a water change. Dechlorinator and temperature checkers are something that is great to have a few extra 🌊

@danielnowitz544810 ай бұрын
what size lily pipes did you reduce to? I think your parts list of this video doesn't account for the hose reduction. Also, I noticed you didn't use the surface skimming lily pipe, is there a reason for this preference?
@GreenAquaShop10 ай бұрын
Sometimes we use the combo, but the majority of time, we do not. A separate skimmer does a better job, and that is not sensitive to your filter performance. We're not listing all the fittings. The goal to demonstrate the equipment we use. If you need a step-up/down hose adapter, i would recommend the Eheim ones. Like the one here: pulse.ly/facjhaoxt4

Ami kérdésem lenne még: Chihiros wrgb2 lámpám van, erre javasolta valaki, hogy max. 60% fényerővel menjen az első hetekben. Erről mi a véleményetek? Tápokat az első naptól teljes dózisban kapja? A növények fele in vitro, miattuk kell, ha jól tudom? Van még az első hetekre valami jótanács esetleg?

You've reduced the flow, by using this hose adapter. That's a bad approach if you have a big tank, cause that can end up in insufficient filtration
