This was quite a funny video to watch. What are some of the things you think are better about Australia compared to England? And is there anything that England is better than Australia at?

England used to be much better at the double entendre than Australia. Don't get me wrong, our older TV shows were good at it, but the English turned it into an art form, particularly in the older shows like "Are You Being Served", "'Allo, 'Allo" and other British comedies of the time. (Mrs Slocombe and her pussy, for example).

We Aussies know the difference between the countries within the UK. So when we say the English, it is indeed the bloody ENGLISH we are referring to. And that usually implies that Poms are just the English only too.

Tasmania is spectacular! It still has remnants of a prehistoric forest. Also my convict ancestry were sent to tasmania. Convicts for a period of time, gave up british clothing and wore kangaroo skin tunics just as the aboriginal people did . They lived harmoniously before the decision of just 2 men to force a killing spree. There's an amazing book on early tasmania based on collected diary's and records of what truly happened at the time.

Aussie here and I lovvvvvvvvvvvvve black pudding! My dad put me onto it when I was a kid. I put my daughter onto it to and she likes it but my son in law hates it (but he is a defective Aussie...doesn't like crumpets or Vegemite😵🤯)
@brokensuave

I also love some black pudding. People seem to get really precious about it because they're thinking of the blood. But the same people love a juicy steak with a nice crust, not quite realising that the 'meat juice' is um, blood. And that lovely crust on the outside? Yeah, thats fried blood. Imagine capturing and concentrating that flavour and eating a slab of it. I may be second generation Aussie, but the thermal layer of body hair on my lower half tells me my Scottish heritage could explain my love of black pudding. Oh yeah, vegemite on my crumpets thanks.

My local butcher sells black pudding and I've always been tempted to try it. I love making a full English breakfast but I always leave the black pudding out because I'm a little weary about trying it. Now, since you've recommended it so highly, I'll give it a go -- I always like to try new things. And yes, I do have a bottle of HP sauce in the pantry. Thanks for helping me make up my mind, Mat.

I've never technically eaten Black pudding, but I do love the brown sticky stuff that clings to roast potatoes when you cook a roast beef. It's that rich, gooey or crispy dehydrated and cooked blood that comes out of the beef. I imagine that Black pudding would taste a bit like that. Can someone let me know if that is kind of what it tastes like?

@@Reneesillycar74 Thanks Renee. I think I would like the flavor but, as you say, the texture might take some getting used to. It's maybe something I would be up for after a few good pints of Taunton Cider. In Northern Thailand they make a chilled 'red' soup which is a delicacy for them. It, I believe, is diluted pig's blood with lots of fresh herbs and spices. It actually tastes pretty good. However, my stomach cringes a little when I think about it. It's just a matter of getting your head around something you aren't used to.

I spent nearly 3 decades in Tassie. It's a great place to raise a family with heaps of opportunities for kids, including a good music performance opportunities and more affordable housing. It's also small enough that you can actually get to know the people who are in the news, including politicians and understand how the community works. For multiple reasons I ended up moving back to Melbourne, and it's like a fish moving from a small, friendly pond to a huge lake.

One guy in the video mentioned that Tassie has great wines; it does. But of more interest to me, it has amazingly good whisky, winning world best whisky awards. Sullivans Cove and Lark are well known, brilliant distilleries but there's plenty of others emerging that are also presenting great challenges to Scotland.

Tassie is a great place but not great weather. People who dont like Taasie have never been. The Tassie people do cop a bit of shit. They normaly say that there is insest and inbreading. It is a little harsh. There is a small island of the bottom east coast of tassie called Bruny Island. So Bruny is an Island off an Island off an Island. They call the rest of Tassie the mainland. You can drive around the mainland of Tassie in a couple of days or less, depending on how ofter you stop.

I don’t agree with the tv licence bit. I’m an Aussie who lives in the UK and I think the licence is a fantastic thing. That’s why the bbc produces so much fantastic tv. Compare it to the abc in australia - it’s literally impossible to compare because the abc hardly produces anything worth watching and when it does it’s a tiny amount. Yeah it’s a weird concept to have to pay for a tv licence but the byproduct is worth the weirdness.

On average, IT RAINS MORE in Melbourne than it does in London 😂 also England has way more famous, quality chefs than Australia does, not to mention Michelin starred restaurants and just generally better places to eat than Australia. We do have some good places to eat and just in general as a broad statement; the quality of food across the board is of good standard. We just don’t have world stage level dining. The best thing about England is that it's not here ,oh after I've checked out all our beaches all 10,000 + of them that's when I'll consider looking at what you Scot's laughingly call beaches . I have visited Scotland and for me the best part was the people they're , just like our Australian people only not as good looking and you can't understand a word they say anyway your still welcome to visit just leave your blood pudding and your haggis at home . PS when I visited a pub in Newcastle apon Tyne I was served a Newcastle Brown Ale that was room temperature and when I explained that civilised people (Australians) needed to have their beer at liquid oxygen temperature I was looked at with distain. This was the point in my travels that I realised I had nothing in common with my pommie forebears .

This guy pulls no punches and is always good to listen to, may offend but can't be taken too seriously. I have a local Scottish butcher and tried black pudding, haggis and lorne. Eggs are never as good without black pudding now.

"may offend" is a bit of an understatement. Mocking the Christchurch Massacre victims makes Butterfield non-human.

I love the UK. Don't mind black pudding. I think every nation has something anyone could knit-pick about. I'm not overly patriotic as an Aussie, but I'd prefer to be here than most places in terms of living. Maybe move overseas for a few years in the future if I can. But Australia is always home.

@@kymamanda1169 Hey, if you think that mocking massacre victims is funny then that's on you. If 'having moral decency' means I am a snowflake, then I'll happily wear that label. I genuinely feel bad for the people in your life that they're now friends with someone who thinks racism and mocking murder victims is funny. I would say Merry Christmas, but your bar on 'Merry' is already pretty worrying. Please don't have a Merry Christmas because it probably involves something equally shameful.

Unlike the U.S. when immigrants came to Australia they retained their culture and food and we embraced it and infused it, so now Australia has some of the best cuisine in the world. I don't think there are many Aussie people who don't speak more than one language either.

Isaac Butterfield is hilarious, love his channel. Scotland's beaches are stunning! Never knew they were like that, I'd love to visit. Being an Aussie, I reckon we are better than the UK but I'd love to visit Ireland and Scotland, two beautiful places with so much to see
