Thanks for this video! I'm the guy who created this meme a couple months ago and shared it on Facebook on some physical media sites. I'm so stoked that its being shared by so many people on socials, and now here on KZbin. LONG LIVE PHYSICAL MEDIA!!! :) Matthew Holmes, Filmmaker and movie collector (Australia)

I can only agree with that. Another reason why I will never give up my Physical Movie Collection is the nostalgia factor. Because what you build up over the years is not just content that you look at now and again. You also associate something with it. Films that you may have known from your childhood and youth, but which you get a completely different impression of today as an adult, often contain small hidden potencies that you never noticed before. And even if some effects may seem strange from today's perspective, you can still overlook it because no film is perfect, especially with classics from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Be Kind Rewind 📼 and Godspeed 🤘📀 📽 💿 ❤

So true, and curating your own collection of those movies mean so much more than endlessly scrolling. Movies can mean so much to us and we know what we like. Keep on collecting and godspeed 🤘💿📼📀

I absolutely love collecting physical media! I think collecting and even shopping for physical media is fun! Not only that, I love the idea of having my own personal library of movies I love and enjoy and I can watch them whenever I want without worrying about it being taken off the list. I do miss the days when people would have their own collections and I would be nosey and just check out what all they had in their collection. But I’m glad that there are KZbin videos that have people showing off what they have in their collection.

My dad was doing some work in the yard 2 weeks ago and accidentally cut the buried internet cable while digging a post hole. We all hung out watching an Elvis movie on 4k while we waited for the internet people to come fix it. Unfortunately the internet was fixed same day. But my dvds came to the rescue!

Great reasons, to hell with streaming, Get Dreaming with full-time ownership of your fave films !!! :) I would add " convenience " to your list, your most prized films are an arm-length away :)

Exactly you can never fully trust streaming. That's why physical media will always be superior.

@@FanZceneVids Hi, Our local theater will be showing Stephen King Horror movies on Tuesdays in October. A Christine car will be there when they show the movie. I won't be going. Have to work.

I don't need 10 reasons. Maybe only two: 1. I own the movie on disc. 2. It won't get censored.

The best two reasons you need.

Internet required to shop though. At least today. I wouldn’t be able to buy squat in my physical media without it anymore. For me only one reason really matters: Ownership!
@FanZceneVids3 ай бұрын
You're right, been talking about this with Tom lately. Ownership is also the best reason period.

@@FanZceneVids I know and respect the fact you like to stay positive on the matter. I recently made two videos on the decline of inventory and shelf space in my two local Walmarts. There’s absolutely no reason to try and shop at either anymore at this point.

The belief that we can watch all the content that streaming offers and we then get our money's worth is misguided at the very least - and deluded at the other end of that spectrum. Conscious choice of what we spend our money on and then get actual enjoyment out of instead of the constant, forever unfulfillable promise of entertainment nirvana should be the way to go. In other words - physical media. My two cents, anyway.
