For me my pain with Mac's are insane prices for usual stuff Ram and even Storage. It's insane how prices go wild. For me mostly outside in the wild with sunshine a Glossy screen is a bad thing. Also I dropped my ThinkPad from 1.5 meters and everything was fine my friends MacBook dropped from the stage and the screen was completely broken. Updating the OS could go horrible wrong when software makers don't update their software quickly! It's possible that you can't work in XYZ Software because you updated your OS. These are the main reasons I'm not on a Mac

Sue Apple for soldering the SSDs onto the mac Motherboard making it very difficult and pricy to repair and overcharging way too much for storage and RAM and doing shady RAM and Storage management among other things. (SSD Swap even on 16GB with just a few Chrome tabs open) Hello. It is time we gang up on Apple and SUE them for choosing to solder the SSDs onto the Mac Motherboards since 2016. On top of that, they also overcharge 3x-4x the price per TeraByte compared to top SSD manufacturers like Samsung, Sabrent, Kingston, Western Digital, Seagate, and so on. 2TB (non Replaceable) SSD @ Apple ---> 600$-800$. At the same time if u go on Amazon you can get a 2TB (easily replaceable) Samsung 980PRO SSD for 200-230$. - When the SSD Fails.. and it will eventually, they will also overcharge you for the repair, because guess what, if you need it replaced, the way they go about it is by replacing the whole motherboard which is an absolutely wasteful way to do it. Imagine replacing so many parts when you could've just replaced the SSD. But they want YOUR MONEY (As much as they can get their claws on). - RAM: they charge 400$ for 32GB and 800$ for 64GB of RAM. At the same time, you can go on Amazon and pick up 32GB of DDR5 for 140-155$ and 64GB of DDR5 for 260$-300$ (Replaceable) - They also do some shady stuff with RAM management: if you get 16GB of their overpriced RAM and monitor your SSD swap Memory, you’ll notice that the macs write a lot of GB to the SSD like 16GB isn’t enough for a couple of chrome tabs. Disgraceful…. ( what I’m aiming at is that they’ll most likely make your non-replaceable-soldered SSD go bad sooner than later… good luck getting a humane price for the repair. - And last but not least, I don't know exactly what they do but they fill your Mac and iPhone with not-so-specific files that you can't quickly discover and delete, thus making your storage fill up quicker. Basically, they're forcing your hand and your wallet to buy the bigger storage option (which is overpriced, to begin with as stated at point 1). I just had to delete apps on my iPhone because when I go into Settings/General/iPhone Storage and click on any App, I can't access/open any Apps' "Documents&Data" just so I can see what is taking up so much space and actually delete all that data that's uselessly filling up my storage. Apple products are made well and are very shiny and pleasant to the touch and to use. All they have to do is stop making those shady decisions behind the curtains. But they always make those shady decisions until enough People start making noise about it or a Higher Authority decides to step in and force them to comply (to behave like good human beings). For example, the EU stepped in and forced them to implement USB-C. Apple's Lightning connector was a nice connector until 2014 until the USB-C connector came along... and yet it's 2022 and if you get a nearly 2000$ iPhone, you still get a Lightning connector on it (USB2.0 speeds: 480Mbps/60MBs per second). up until now, Apple has proven that it is in their Essence to not think about their users, to not listen to them, and to always try to squeeze as much money as possible, borderline robbing you until people start to catch on and speak up and even when they do speak up, Apple always tries to stand their ground with their shady business practices. We must take action. Seriously. Either ask higher authorities to step in and Force Apple to clean up their act or we just collectively stop buying Apple products. Keep in mind that apple decided to remove the Headphone Jack and soon after the industry followed them instead of standing their ground. ( Keep in mind that apple sells wired earpods for 20-25$ but sells their Airpods for 250$. (I wonder why they took out the Headphone Jack...) so just because they are wireless the price difference is roughly 1200%. I would never buy their wireless earbuds because I see it as their greedy Sin. So just because you introduce wireless functionality you do it at 1200% price difference? NOPE. HUGE NOPE. Imagine if we all Stopped buying Apple products for 3 Years. Imagine the looks on their faces year after year when they see 0 Sold Products :O:O:O. That would be awesome. The vid is great fam, needless to say. But hey, there is 1 thing I think is great about MacOS is the continuity, it just syncs perfectly with my phone or ipad. Sometimes when I feel tired of sitting and working on my main desktop, I just simply grab my notebook or iPad to keep it going. Or sometimes you just want to transfer that 1 folder or file from your laptop, just airdrop it, anywhere, anything.

I am a lifelong windows user and I finally gave it up for MacBook Pro M1 Max a few weeks ago. I got tired of 3 motherboard failures with my windows desktop and crazy loud fans. My MacBook Pro has been super quiet even when rendering a large DAW session. The transition to Mac has been amazingly smooth with exception of a few incompatible izotope plugins. I can’t get used to the keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste. On windows I use my pinky and index finger for CTRL-C and CTRL-V (a natural hand position without contorting or moving my fingers). On a Mac it’s an unnatural-feeling middle and index finger to copy and paste. Am I doing it wrong?

I use a laptop when recording a podcast and when I first started I was scared it was going to be super loud. To my surprise, it was incredibly silent. I can’t say how silent it is compared to a Mac, but I had a surface pro 3 and that shit was loud af. Ease of use seems kind of a personal thing. I have used a Mac on occasion and I didn't like the software but I also understand that it's something you have to get used to. I have no problem using windows and I'm not disorganized enough to worry about where I put a specific file. Also the search thing you mentioned seems like you purposely lied about how search works on windows or simply didn't know. But in either case, you can definitely search for more than just what's on your computer. It also brings up apps and search results from the internet. I've only ever dealt with Lenovo so I can't speak for the customer service of other companies, but my experience has been great with them. I hate using a trackpad but it gets the job done when I'm simply recording. Any time I'm mixing I'm on my desktop. I used to be concerned with reliability since I've always heard mac is more reliable etc etc. But honestly I can't say I've ever had any reliability issues. The people who I work with on the podcast use a mac. Their Mac legit takes a shit on them any time they try to render the video for it. They thought they were buying something professional yet it constantly shuts down on them so I guess experience varies. Your problem with a computer may not be the same one as mine so in the end I think it comes down to what's important to the person. I really like your take on having a respectful conversation as adults instead of just having fanboy wars on here.

Your 100. With midi tracking in windows , you need to have a more expensive separate external device for proper audio conversion . doing the same type of work on an apple computer I've noticed the sound card driver many times is able to do an extremely well job without the need for the added external devices to obtain low latency . Plus now a days the USB mics are doing pretty damn good. Hands down , osx handles sound drivers with much better latency than windows .

I agree with you, I switched to Mac for the first time at the beginning of the year. And I was one of those guys who custom built my own PC's for a long time before that. The inbuilt sound quality is better on the MacBook Pro 16" and so is the sound from plugging in headphones too. No fan noise whatsoever. Still getting used to the keyboard. The only issue I've had is that my ethernet adapter sometimes stops working and I have to switch it to a different thunderbolt port. I think this is some issue Apple needs to fix. They seem to want to force everyone onto WiFi. Apart from that I am getting a lot more done with Apple than I could with Windows which has gone downhill ever since XP and I don't have anywhere near the compatibility and driver issues I had on PC. I'm not going to say that everything just works but so far I'd say 95 percent of things do. I think I got the exact same model and colour as you and it is perfect for music production.
@30killabeatz2 жыл бұрын
That’s dope! So glad I didn’t get the max! When I was on windows I used Ethernet and got 200mb and on Wi-Fi I got 20mb. On m1 MacBook I get 200mb on Wi-Fi. I just gave up Ethernet on Mac because I didn’t see a difference. Thanks for watching gang💪🏽💪🏽

Yeah, valid reasons. I think also there is a tendency for new converts to MacOS to plug in a mouse and start that right click shit. This hides the beauty of the fact that nothing comes close to the Mac Trackpad in terms of fluidity and gestures if you just take the time to learn it. I am MacBook and High-end Laptop user. I think that portability aside, FL Studio is best on a Windows platform hands down because it uses none of these features and really needs a mouse.

To me it's not really about the brand but just picking the best device or software for each category. I had some windows PCs in the past but I use Apple because it's the best. Not especially in terms of performance but overall for the user experience and my needs (music, videos...) but for gaming, windows is best...but I'm not really doing that. I have Android phones because pixel and Samsung are just light years away from iPhones...a lot will disagree but every time an iphone user argues with me, I just have to list why and they realize they had so many preconceived ideas about android. I use KZbin Music and not Spotify because again it's simply the best and if you think Spotify can compete with all the content KZbin has, you're seriously living in a bubble. So many albums I can't find on Spotify are right there on KZbin music...even tho Spotify has a massive library, for a music lover like me I prefer to pay to maximize the chance to find what I look for knowing most of the time it will be there. Now for artists and bands to upload their own music, it's better to use Spotify of course. And I could go on and on... I don't use something because everybody does or the hype...just picking the best.

Macs may be better for music production, but i found some of the reasons you mentioned non-important.... like the trackpad or the fact that you can find accessories.... i don't think this matters to pros that much in deciding whether they should get a mac or win
@30killabeatz2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your opinion but I respectfully disagree. I am a pro user and so many times I had to use my windows laptop and had to use the trackpad and had so many issues while traveling and not tracking that ended up slowing me down. If i'm trying to hit a keyboard shortcut while working and accidentally start clicking on other stuff and making adjustments that I didn't try to do that slows me down to go back and fix the problem. In which I notice I didn't have the same issues on my Mac. In some cases with traveling you may not have access or the space to use an external mouse. The trackpad is how you operate with the OS. It's one of the most important part of the computer. Accessories help your workflow not sure how that can not be important to a pro user. Thanks for watching! 💪🏽

My opinion is simple. Asus scar is the best because you have 2 ssd nvme . To be fast to load sessions and kontakt . And macbook m1 max is the best but for more than 4000 euros . And certainly better and graphies and video editing . Also m1 chipset is adapted to all plugins see dom signalas for that . The worst is to reinstall all stuff. And all system have advantage and disadvantage. One day i will certainly also get a m1 max or plus . But now asus scar is the best price quality .

Great video and you answered a lot of my questions, but you said windows had to many updates and that’s really not true and I know it for fact. Apple has sooooo many updates almost every 3 months and new generations every 6. So it’s not true at all cause it’s the exact opposite. Mac has wayyy to many updates that’s why I don’t like it that much🙌🏽but still a great video 🙏

But that's why you pay 10x the price. Convenience, Apple factors in cooling, processing power, battery, physical weight, operating system.. Etc. They think of everything for you. Rather than building the whole thing, and doing research for the whole thing, working with 15 manufacturers(Nvidia, Samsung, Msi, Microsoft) and 15 warranties for 15 sold separately parts that you have to pay to get assembled or assemble yourself. Apple does it all. I don't like it when people complain about price regarding Apple. I think it would make sense to me if someone who could afford the top of the range Apple products still chose a PC. But to say Apple sucks just because of price? Simply because a more powerful PC is cheaper? That just means you can't appreciate what Apple has to offer. More importantly, you just can't afford it.

Intel is x86 wich is older and it's architecture is starting to show it's age. x86 is like a petrol engine, and M1 is like Tesla Plad in terms of performance vs efficiency.

OK! This comes from a person that has used computers for music production since 1994. Here are my 2 cents. I will drop windows and benefit of the M1 architecture IF!!!!.. Apple stops crewing with people and ripping them off with overpriced computers, and repairs, and a LOT of hype. I am not an Apple fanboy nor a Windows Fanboy. I can care less for both! But with Window I can do whatever I want. Add or remove whatever I want. Do you really think that you own an Apple computer? No you don't. To them your laptop is their property; even after you over paid for it. look it up. Apple is "great" till they hit you with ridiculous unnecessary OS X upgrades which screw up the whole system because all your plug-ins are gone... Specially that favorite Virtual instrument that you got a while back and now its unusable... yeah! Love that... It is clear that M1 is better architecture. BUT I can't stand being owned by Apple. I DO NOT agree with their policies and their constant changes with the OS, which is constantly screwing with plug-ins and my costumers! They are going bananas every time they upgrade their OS X and I have to go run and start to re-build my perfectly fine Vistula Instruments because Logic sucks at authenticating or validating, etc! (its owned by Apple) Duh! of course they screwed it up. Not a single Windows customer of mine has contacted me at all, all upset because they upgraded their Windows OS. NOT one!!! On the Mac side.? It's a nightmare. Every upgrade since OS X Catalina etc... Authenticate, Validating issues all the time without fail. And more worst with the M1 introduction. I should just drop the AU format and have peace. My VSTi work all the way back from Win 7 64bit to Win 11. Can't say the same with Apple. But after over a month of busting my brains I was able to have my VSTi M1 compatible... ok wait, what? there is a M2 already...? M3, M4 any time soon!.... 😂😂😭😭😢😵🥵😡😓😓 Is the new M1 architecture any good? Heck yes.. the best so far. 100% as of now. The people behind it? Not so great. $3,000 for a tiny 13" laptop? hahaha!!!! to do beats. Sure. Any $800 HP laptop on Amazon will do the same thing. Flawlessly. With a 17" display so you don't go blind trying to read your plug-ins. I'm a grease monkey. I build my computers since back then. I don't need Apple making threats because you want to fix your ridiculous overpriced Laptop that suddenly went poof and you have to go to them specifically where they can rip you off with a LOGIC BOARD when all they had to do is replace a crappy chip that costs cents or some bad port. Locking SSD to hardware so you cant upgrade on your own? Brilliant. And we have the Fanboy community to support this nonsense. You know that in 3 years your M1 would be a dinosaur by their own standards? Heck the M1 is looking grim now with the M2 or M3 So you see boss! I choose Experience over fancy-eye candy Apple computers backed up by the biggest monopoly organisation of them all. Funny fact that the youngsters don't know about. About 20 years ago, they were rescued by Intel when they almost went belly up with their refrigerator looking desktops Mac Pro and their CPU brain fart. They embraced Intel and from that you have now all you see on their website. The irony is that they used to make fun of Intel all the time back in the days. By the Way! WINDOWS SUCK! but I can slap it around and make it my OS until they start copying Apple. Which is already happening. My long 2 cents 🤣. Sorry!

Been on 2 windows custom builds for my audio computer the last 20 years. Blazing fast, 24/7 reliable. Quality hardware matters. Platform doesn’t 👍. Both platforms are excellent equal choices. Never understood platform worship. Especially when the “chosen one” charges up to 2 to 4 times market value for basic upgrades. $800 for an additional 64gb of RAM on a m1 ultra max mini? That’s courage for sure. No wonder they are a trillion dollar company 😁.

Thats awesome, that you have a great experience on your custom built pc and I believe that's the best way to have the perfect experience with windows. but most people don't know where to start when creating their own computer. which is another reason why Mac is better for the masses with it comes to music production but hey if you wanna get windows go for it! when it comes to laptops most windows laptops dont have the best parts that last for awhile.. Most windows laptops start getting worse overtime and dont have the greatest support. which is another reason why Macs are better for the masses because of the support they get to fix any issue

@@30killabeatz Yeah, its a shame the Windows side of thing is more hobby/enthuiast focused when it comes to desktops. Of course laptops its just a matter of what you prefer, windows or mac. With windows its how much you are willing to spend for a good laptop, which most people on the windows side cheap out on and have problems after the warranty is over). The good brands, especially business class laptops last a long long time. Especially Thinkpads. @@beautifulcaramelman Apple doesn't think of everything for you. THey are a corporation. They care about profit. They build their computers so that basically they are the only ones who can repair them. And believe me, apple computers do need maintenance today. If you don't have apple care, the repair costs are outrageous. The price to go up 32gb of RAM is outrageous. But appole makes it feel good to their faithful which is fine, but the alternatives are just as good. Especially for the desktop setup. Both sides have their negatives for sure. But if you value owning a machine you an service at reasonable prices without having to buy a repair warranty service you will pay for as long as you own the product......I prefer the windows side of things for desktops and business laptops. But to each their own as they say, its a free planet. I just get annoyed with the "apple thinks of everything" notion or you "cant appreciate the apple" sentiment. I've always had phones and ipads in my life because the software is outstanding, despite the idea of repairs making me nervous lol. But Apple computers aren't for a lot of people out there for vero good sensible consumer friendly reasons.

The problem i see when people buy windows laptops is that people never buy comparable laptops. When Mac was still Intel I use to have producers trying to compare a i3 8gb ram hp they brought for 400 dollars to a i9 32gb ram mbp and say PCs are slow lol. I agree Mac is better for the masses and paying 2 to 3 thousand every 3 years is a trade off that most people will take instead of taking a little time to watch a few videos on how to read specs and optimize windows for their use case (video editing, music production etc.) (I personally use desktops and I use both mac's and PCs for music)

😂😂😂😂 The customer service is good with Apple until your device breaks, then it is always…ALWAYS your fault. They purposely install moisture sensors that seemingly trigger with ambient humidity so they have an out for every problem. I guess the bonus is they don’t break as often, but still, Apple is shady AF when it comes to after-purchase support.

We Must Sue Apple for soldering the SSDs onto the mac Motherboard making it very difficult and pricy to repair and overcharging way too much for storage and RAM and doing shady RAM and Storage management among other things. Wish you all the best and take care.
