I didn’t want this movie to finish. The bond between Nelson and his dad was what I longed for but unfortunately it was impossible and then lost my dad while I was 14, my life never remained the same, I have a big void in my heart and I still do even though I’m 27 now. Honestly I laughed out loud watching this masterpiece and I also cried, it was a mixed emotions and my fragile heart kept racing speedily, brought out the little boy in me who wanted to be heard, cared for, communicate my feelings and put to perspective. His other wife used to be jealous of the bond we both shared. Till today, I used to say it out loud if I am encountering a challenge "I MISS YOU DAD" We were very close but I still miss him. My favorite thing about this movie is how the parents are portrayed. Most of the times African parents are inconsiderate of their children’s emotions. I love that this movie shine a new light on that. Hopefully, this new generation of African parents can learn something from this movie and the old generation as well. This is such a lovely movie.
