Unfortunate that they didn't see fit to include a compact spare. Not all of us want to wait by the side of the road for hours if we damage a tire beyond their silly repair kit's capabilities. Granted, you might not use it often, but the same can be said for air bags. It's the "peace of mind". For those driving through areas with spotty cell reception, this is an issue too.

I thought about that too. But honestly, there’s space in the back for that spare. If you take out the foam kit that holds the repair kit, the spoke to hold a spare is right there. You can just buy the spare tire.

@@Vospader21 Interesting. I hadn't seen one in person. There is a video someone put together on their aftermarket spare for their CRV Hybrid. There is at least one place that makes and sells various spares. Think you can choose the "temp spare" size, or a full size wheel tire. It even comes in a bag. Unfortunately, in the CRV, the battery pack eats up what is the spare "cubby" from the non-hybrid. So, his spare is just sitting in the middle of his rear cargo area floor, and wreaks havoc with the space back there. Plus, I'd really prefer to have it secured. At least in the Accord it would be contained in the trunk. Most other makers who skip the spare at least use run-flats.

@@Vospader21 Agreed - I just puchased a 2024 Accord Sport Hybrid and the salesman said that the battery took up space formerly occupied by the spare. However, I recently pulled out the foam liner (with pockets and air compressor) from under the trunk carpet and found exactly what you stated - room for a compact spare, including the hold-down bracket. Will be an added cost to buy a spare, jack and lug wrench but, if I decide to add, can probably find a set in a scrap yard for very little.

Here in México it does come with a spare tire and a proper gas cap. No Google assist though.

I agree that the lack of a spare tire is just silly and makes no sense but still a very nice car

Be advised: 2023-2024 Honda Hybrids do not come with a spare tire and it is unknown if 2025 Honda's will come with the spare. On the 2023 -2024's You do get a tire repair kit and an air pump. Just visualize yourself trying to repair a flat tire in the middle of the night in the rain on a car that doesn't have a jack or tire iron. It is almost comical. I see this review is just like most of the reviews and skips the lack of a spare and focuses on the shape of the tail lights. Since I have been making these comments Honda has come up with a kit you can buy from Honda $500 or Amazon for $450 that gives you the missing content.

@@Drifter9999-jp1bq Think he's referring to the old Accord 2.0L Sport. Or perhaps even further back to the old V6. That 2.0L had a turbo and 0-60 times in the sub-6 second range. A little extra fun for the person who NEEDED a family car, but wanted a sports car. Car and Driver clocked this one (in Touring trim) at 6.5 sec for 0-60. The trim level with the 17" wheels might be a little quicker (assuming it can get the power to the pavement without more wheeelspin), and it gets better mpg too.

Well, they are all the same 10 Reasons Why you Should Not Buy the 2024 Honda Accord hybrid. The fact that Hybrid vehicles suck. Bring back the 2.0-liter Turbo or the V6 then we will talk.

@@kkgolf5371 I can understand his lamenting that the new Accord's mission has changed from what it was back when you could get the high output drivetrains. I too miss the days when you could get a V6 Coupe (or even the 4) with a MT. Times change. But yeah, he can look over at Acura. I recently looked at the TLX to see what the 4 cyl turbo might cost, and they were all starting right around $50K and all had SHAWD. No MT either. In the "more reasonable" price range, he'd now be looking more towards the Integra I guess, but unless you spring for the difficult to find Type S (at 51K+), you are limited to 200 HP in the $37-38K price range (if you want the MT, you have to get A-Spec with Tech Package). The reasonable speed has moved to Hyundai now, with the Elantra Type N. Nearing 280 HP for mid-30K range, and handling to match. (Type N headed by the guy who used to be a big player in the BMW M division, and he's serious about the Type N cars.)

This Accord Hybrid is the perfect everyday car. If you're talking about a V6 why don't you get a real sports car. Go ahead and look at V8s like a BMW M4, Camaro, Mustang, etc. An Accord has never been a sports car.
