Love your channel! 💕 Also, please how often do you think people should change up their mini braid hair styles to avoid breakage? For example my hair is kind of at an odd length to leave down, but I do like to put it up in a ponytail or pigtails while in mini braids. But I'm not sure how often I should switch it up because I get breakage from both styles lol. Wonderful video by the way 💗

Don't know if you'll see this, but if you look up "Naturally high akward length" on youtube, she has a few styles that you can do with your mini twists/braids which protects your hair and look good at this stage. Those styles are a great help to me. Hope it'll help you too 😊

Does your hair lock cause am doing a 6 month hair challenge with mini braids and its just been 1 month and a week now and my hair feel like it's locking
@EtherielleHB2 жыл бұрын
Hi Natural Beauty, my hair only locks that quickly if I'm doing twists on my hair, but my hair has never locked with mini braids. There can be a variety of reasons as to why your hair may be locking up. You said it feels like it's locking, is it actually locking and if so, what exactly is it doing to make you feel like it's locking? Also what is the method you do for caring for your mini braids?
@naturalbeauty40822 жыл бұрын
@@EtherielleHB it just feels like locks like it's knot up I wash my hair oil it with essential oil and do diy treatment sometimes.

I use natural Ayurvedic products that I've created, one of them being similar to the oil that I showed you how to make in this video. My hair is short so what kind of hair would you Suggest I add like human orSynthetic
@EtherielleHB3 жыл бұрын
Hey Tredinya, when I was growing out my hair in the beginning I only used synthetic, I haven't used human hair before though. I wish I could show you the type/brand of braiding hair that I used to get but I don't know if they sell it anymore, if I find it I'll give you the info but I got synthetic braiding hair that was as close to my hair texture and color as possible.
@jk90842 жыл бұрын
Marley braids or Xpression
@daisiesandpandas12182 жыл бұрын
My hair is short too, I'm still not using synthetic hair, I've come to the conclusion they do more harm than good, synthetic hair shreds your hair a little no matter how careful you apply them, and if you have fine hair your hair ends up looking like a leg that's been in a cast too long. I would say just use your hair and put on a scarf or try human hair braids because they don't dry your hair out or cause contact dermatitis issues (depending of course on what chemicals they put on it)

I have a mix of fine/thick hair. Do you think these would work on my hair? Currently trying to find new ways to grow it faster after a big chop (my hair is around 5-6 inches long)

How is the takedown from wearing mini braids for 6 months? That sounds like a knotted mess for someone with 4C hair...
@EtherielleHB3 жыл бұрын
The takedown surprisingly wasn't that bad! I would re-braid the braids with the most new growth every 2 months to avoid any possibility of my hair locking at the root or getting tangled due to any shed hair, so that contributed to the easy takedown as well. Also because It had been in such a uniformed shape for so long, I noticed the braids weren't able to tangle up on itself due to the semi-stretched state it was in. I have a couple videos coming out soon to give you more of a visual of what I do as well, but if you do them properly and you don't neglect your hair you definitely will have an easier takedown! :)

how many times a week do you wash ur hair? I use to try to wash my hair once a week only but my hair starts stinking really easily. can i still wash my hair without ruining the braids? I saw somewhere that when you wash ur hair with braids ur hair tries to shrink but I cant because its in braids which causes thinning and breakage
@EtherielleHB2 жыл бұрын
Hey Sachery, I try to wash my hair once a week and if not once every two weeks. My hair only starts to smell if I let it air dry, so I've been using this blow dryer attachment that goes on the dryer. It covers your whole head and uses the blow dryer to dry your hair. That's true, my hair does shrink a little when I wash it so I put it in a loose but stretched style like milk maid braids or cornrows after I've blow dried it on low heat. I let it stay like that overnight and then I take them down in the morning and it typically lasts for a week.
