If you don't mind me asking, I'm curious about your thoughts on removing the skin/fat from chicken breast?
@tobiasb154Ай бұрын
@@gael7w802 haven’t looked into that specifically. But in general, the fat of animals is the safest place to store chemicals which we then consume ourselves. In an experiment, humans were given physical and cognitive tests then fed beef and retested. Those that ate inorganic/grain fed did the worst and had higher omega 6 levels. Those that ate organic (grass or grain fed) did okay. Those that ate grass fed beef (organic or inorganic made no difference) did the best and had better omega-3 profiles. So my guess is chicken skin is okay if it is truly free range. In short what really matters is what you eat, ate before it was butchered.

@@Memesifoundonfacebook cholesterol is not bad. (Your brain is made of fat and cholesterol). It does not cause heart disease and never has. There are several other risk factors that are placed way above high cholesterol. The only thing in that blood test you need to care about is Triglycerides need to be low, that's it. LDL means nothing, it will always be high on a low carb diet no matter what. Always eat the whole egg, with butter and beef fat. Stop eating processed grains, bread, pasta and foods with seed oils (anything you don't cook yourself will probably have) and any fried food, french fries.. This is the stuff people should be afraid of, not animal fats. Seed oils stay in your body for years. There is zero evidence you need to restrict ANIMAL FATS. The more fat you consume, the more weight that falls off of you and inflammation goes away. Again, only if you're low to no carb. Actually it's proven that if you eat a something with high sugar content while low carb, your cholesterol plummets and is more effective than medication (statins). Look up 'Oreo vs. Statins'. It's not saying to eat oreos, it's a study to show how useless the statins are and the fact that we don't understand cholesterol as well as we thought.

@falsificationismАй бұрын
Claim 1 has a false premise based on a comparative study: Low versus high egg consumption, with no zero egg group. At 1:25, Jeff confirms that one egg has 200 mg of cholesterol. When we compare people who eat ZERO eggs to people who eat even ONE, there's a large difference in outcome measures (e.g., LDL). But the difference between 1 egg and 8 eggs is relatively small. However, it's also true that as bad as dietary cholesterol is, dietary saturated fat is even worse.
@falsificationismАй бұрын
After watching the video and being familiar with nearly all the studies cited in the video, Jeff also failed to mention that the majority of studies he cites were funded by the American Egg Board, a marketing arm of the U.S. egg industry which pays for research and screens the findings and research methods prior to publication.
@ExplorerBen7Ай бұрын
Saturated fat is needed by the body for hormone production and brain health. The types in eggs and grass fed beef are fine it just doesn't need to be more than 1/3 to 1/2 your total fat intake.
@TheVeganHeathenАй бұрын
Very glad to see someone reasonable who has a reasonable understanding of the totality of the research in the comments. It's definitely unfortunate to see Jeff giving such bad advice, but it happens.

7:09 dietary cholesterol is not bad.
@barbarusbloodshed6347Ай бұрын
@@TheVeganHeathen you guys are still wrong, though. I've got low cholesterol while eating eggs daily. In fact all my blood tests always attest myself near perfect health. And I eat red meat about twice a week, additional to chicken also about twice a week. While my wife has high cholesterol and is regularly low on iron and B vitamins (takes vitamin b supplements). She's vegan. Being vegan doesn't make you healthy. It's about time people stop with all that nutrition advice and accept that there are great individual differences. Those studies in recent years that showed that different people would thrive on different foods. Person A might struggle with the stuff that person B is eating and the other way around. It makes perfect sense in terms of evolution. Lots of individual differences in the individuals of the population means greater chance of survival for the species. There'd always be some individuals in the population that could thrive, no matter where we went and what foods were available in those places.

In 2022, I was eating 8-16 whole eggs everyday for at least 4 months. It was cheap protein and i had looked up that dietary cholesterol was not linked to blood cholesterol prior to incorporating this many eggs. I got my bloodwork done and my LDL was 121. As a 21 year old that had been consistently lifting for 4 years, I was shocked. I cut yolks from my diet for about a year to fix my LDL. I have since reintroduced the yolks and have 2-3 a day with healthy LDL levels. It seems, for my body at least, that dietary cholesterol has an impact on blood cholesterol when taken to the extremes
@ProjectExodusАй бұрын
8 - 16 eggs per day gives you about 12 - 25 extra grams of saturated fats though... And your diet might consist of other sources of saturated fats as well?

I completely agree with the🎉 video content. I, to, in the 90s, was made to believe good fats were bad.Since then I've been eating more "good fats," I've noticed an over increase in my energy & behaviour. Great video. Thanks for the video! A thing I've never understood in your AX1 meal plans: if I use the "shred swap", I should only eat egg whites. Never did that - sure it's less calories but I think the benefits of the yolk outweighs.

I’m not sure about this. I don’t know what to think about this??? it seems like you can’t eat anything these days every week. Some new study comes out suggesting whatever food that has been relatively healthy all of a sudden terrible I don’t know what to think anymore.?!?!?!
@realdreamerschangetheworld7470Ай бұрын
Overwhelming, isn’t it? Lots of people are feeling this more and more. Moderation is the key, but you need the integrity for it. Also making things at home to monitor how much of an ingredient (e.g. salt, butter, oil) is added.

Your body makes way more cholesterol than you could realistically eat Also grain fed chicken eggs are higher in inflammatory omega 6 fatty acids whereas grass fed or pasture raised are higher in anti-inflammatory omega 3s!

Guys im a registered nurse. I cant STAND when people tell me eggs are harmful. You know whats interesting? I have seen 100s of patient ls thag all have these 3 things in theyre history: High blood pressure, diabetes type II, obesity, and high cholesteral. Now lets put 2 and 2 together: WHY, JUST WHY is diabetes and obesity always accociated with high cholesterol? Because! Eating high fat foods and sugar is what REALLY raised cholesteral level in the blood, such as: soda, fast food, starbucks drinks, and ice cream. IF YOU REALLY want to lower your cholesterol, stop eating that shit. Take this advice from someone like me whos seen this over and over. Ill leav you with this. I havent seen 1 patient in my ENTIRE nursing career thats come in with high cholesteral and been fit, which obviously means theyre not choosing eggs for breakfast. Hope this find whoever reads this well.
