I need to begin getting in to Marillion, but for now, spinning here in Austria…. Vow Wow, Rock me forever… 🤟

@@anthonywright9805 I love Vow Wow. Good stuff! The trick to Marillion is deciding if you prefer the Fish era or Hogarth era. I love both for different reasons. Since there are more albums with Hogarth on vocals I’d suggest starting with Season’s End. My 2nd favorite is Clutching at Straws with Fish on vocals. Drastically different albums. If you give either a listen or already have let me know what you think…I’d be curious to hear your opinion. Cheers!

Hey Rick, discovered your channel recently. I’m a lifelong music collector-many genres-and I enjoy your hang time with us viewers! What some would call odd behaviour we call fun. Buying and listening to albums. Love it! Keep on sharing. Darren in Canada @reverenddarrenmcclelland 👍😊

@@reverenddarrenmcclelland Hi Darren! Thx for watching and for the feedback! I’m trying to ease into some Christmas music now while mixing in secular non-holiday spins as well. Video about that coming soon.

Love that Pink Floyd album. It was my first, some might be surprised by considering the date and my age, perhaps not 😊

@@MortenAastad I probably the first I owned outright. I would sign The Wall out at the library every chance I got. It was years before I bought it on CD and eventually it and others on vinyl.

@ I was forcefed The Wall as a kid by classmates who thought Hey Teacher was sooo clever. Hated it. I was all in on the Stones and this was just silly! Then years later I got this, everyone shouted about it not being real Pink Floyd, so obviously I bought it a bit out of spite! Bit later I heard Animals and Moon and all that and understood… hey, there’s a bit more going on here! 😄

Christmas albums have always been a nice way for artists to make a few extra bucks before year’s end. So what are the best and worst of the lot? Bob Dylan’s Christmas In The Heart may win for worst-postcard Norman Rockwell cover to immaculate backing tracks slimed with perhaps Dylan’s worst vocal performance ever. Or maybe he had a cold that day! But we love Dylan anyway. Rick, spin us some Christmas records that perhaps the mainstream missed. Looking forward. @reverenddarrenmcclelland

@@reverenddarrenmcclelland LOL. My wife just bought that Dylan Christmas CD. Funny you mentioned it. I haven’t even broken the shrink on it yet, but can just imagine the vocal havoc Dylan guides us through.
