There are some quick tips to get rid of scammers. Develop a system to verify who they are. IF you have to make a double account dating app and use the second account to test. Never send money and give up your free will to many fish in the sea.

This has happened to me personally 5 times in about asany years ,I'm seeing a pattern that not all of these people are legitimate .I learned that many of them are from Nigeria and It is almost always a man acting like a sincerely hurting woman.Its the devil,stay away from them ,they are not real and they will target your emotions ,they lie,cheat ,anything including trying to get bank info or anything they can to access money .We know it's the devil because we know money drives demonic forces .

Thanks for the video! From my own experience, recognizing red flags was challenging because I REALLY wanted the relationship to work. It was hard for me to see my own self-worth because I always thought it was a problem with ME, not them...in reality, it was THEM using me. I did find that having a great support system to help me recognize these red flags when I was having trouble seeing them on my own!

I’m talking to this girl online. It’s been a few days since we started talking. As soon as I told her my personality, she fallen in love with me and says she wants a future with me, wants me to live with her, and even offer to buy me clothes, new sneaks and a GameStop card. Here’s the red flags. (If the predator is female, and the victim is male) 1. Adds you. 2. The profile picture is of a very pretty woman. 3. Starts sweet talking you. 4. Asks for money because of an “unfortunate event” but will pay you back more you gave them. 5. Guilt trips you when you say no, and begs Thankfully I’m aware of these scams. As soon as she asked for money that’s when I blocked her.

I believed, I loved, I trusted., I got hurt emotionally by a user. Deep down I knew it would never work out. My gut instinct and mind had all red flag warnings. I'm quite a negative person and very guarded about my feelings. Now my barrier wall is double thick. At least I only escaped with a bruised heart and ego. I lost nothing but the individual, who I had doted on. However you do still need to have a good word in the mirror, with your own reflection!

The number one thing to do If your doubting about your online date is to ask for a video call. Make sure that you can hear the date speak. Make sure it is all live. Some scammers puts on a video clip with no sound. And they say that there is something wrong with their computer and bla, bla. I have been scammed. Not that I have gave away money or anything but I believed the date to be real. And then it wasnt. Its not a fun experience.

I was scammed about a month ago, it started out innocent, and then it got intimate, and then she tells me to download WhatsApp. I met her on Instagram btw, anyway I downloaded it even though I didn’t want to. But not long after that she starts asking me to buy gift cards, the first was for her “sons” PlayStation and later 2 more cards because she claims to want to download games and music for her phone. And foolishly enough I did, but in return she promised to video chat with me which she never.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Listen.. every experience is a learning lesson, even when it is super painful. Don't dwell on past mistakes and most importantly, know you aren't alone. David yes this definitely could be a red flag. I'm sure your goal is to meet someone to have a real relationship in person. If someone is just providing an emotional relationship and not willing to do a few virtual dates before meeting in person... this could be a sign of a catfish. You have to ask yourself, the time you are investing in this person.. is it worth it? Or if you spend that same time with someone that is willing to meet you... what would happen then :). I think you know the answer. Listen to your gut.

I for one am not ready for a video chat, I allow a little more time for chatting before I do video chat. I just experienced being scammed/catfished online for the past 10 days. The guy used fake photos of a popular Navy veteran. I actually just found out last night by researching the photos this scammer sent me. There were too many red flags, one of which is scammers would profess their love in a very short span of time. Ask a lot of questions from this girl, research her social media, in my case, the things the scammer told me contradicts some of the public posts he had in his fb.. I wish you luck on this.

Hi Joe😊 just be careful on the people you meet. Many people are tricky and will make you fallto them and later will demand financial things or things that are impossible for you to do for them. If you can't do it, they will make you feel guilty of not helping them out and say you don't love them at all. That's a big scammwrs. If money is involved, then stop talking to that person. I was also a victim of such scam, he told me he's an architect, and he needed $7000 to complete a project. I feel embarrassed saying this, honestly I fell for it. I sent him $3000. When I discovered it was a scam, already it's too late but lucky me a friend recommend a hacker to me who helped me recovered almost everything from that scumbag just with his banking details, why not send him a request if he can be of help
