Look at it like this - remove emotions. Every business investment (your time/money/mindspace into her) requires an initial capital investment at the start. Just commenting to get this out. A woman was love bombing me at work, I became infatuated but worked through that, with God's help. I felt like this would happen again as she has done this repeatedly and progressively over a year period. Once I got over the intense phase I felt confident to be direct and respectfully ask her if she felt the same since her behaviors exhibited interest. She said no. I relied with oh ok, I must have misread her signals. She immediatly started apologizing, twice. I told her, No no no it's all good, no big deal. She apologized again, seemed like a thing she has said before, had analmost bad little actress tone to her voice; seemed fake. Anyhoo, she and I went our seperate ways. I felt a bit down, but knew it's no reflection on me. No time for games. Being respectful and direct put a halt to any nonsense. It stings a little, but it's a relief to be honest. My best friend suggested she may have feelings for me but was frozen when I put her on the spot. If that's true, it's her loss. The same game will not work on me again. I definitely noticed several of the signs and even wrote them down to check off which ones were present: 1) Yes, she says she doesn’t know what she wants. 2) Yes, she tells me she’s seeing other men, in the form of still having a boyfriend and responding to messages from men who obviously want her. 3) No, she actually did reach out and plan date ideas from time to time, but usually involved things only she wanted to do. 4) Yes, she tended to only reach out when she needed something, but sometimes called just to hangout. 5) Yes, she totally just wanted to “see what happens”. 6) Big Yes-she never really asked for money (sugar bf took care of that) but would often ask for transportation, business ideas, help with her business, house work, etc. 7) Yep. She was technically single when we reconnected but they got back together and haven’t broken up after several weeks of what was effectively an affair. 8) She never really canceled on me except during this short period of a few days when we were fighting but she was also house sitting and had a little more freedom and anonymity. 9) She never brought friends around but towards the end preferred to hangout where her roommates can see us. 10) This was inconsistent. Sometimes her words and actions aligned, but not always. She’d blame her anxiety when they didn’t align.

Yup, she said she was separated, we were dating and her ex was at her house every night, running her shower in the morning, we would make plans and she always bailed. She wouldn’t respond to text or answer calls, I only talked to her when she would call. It finally ended and I can tell you my stress went way down.

I finaly give up in trying to find new love .my wife past away last year and i have been out of the dating game for 15 years .needless to say i got lonely and realy wanted a comitted relationship. But instead got hurt time after time frendzoned and used for a free meal twice att expensive restaurants. The last tinder date i was on went so bad that i spended 2days in my room crying because of the humiliation and loneliness that came crashing on me. So i excepted the fact that i am going to grow old alone cause im not up for all this bs anymore
