I am very similar, but I have a pain in the butt setting of not naturally liking hugs. Mostly due to culture, and the other is due to paranoia I guess (they hug b/c of an unkindly ulterior motive). However, I know that deep down in the dark recesses of my tiny soul, that I do want a hug from a trusted friend that's kinda long, where they don't say anything, b/c then it feels more like a hug of understanding or security maybe. I'm not being fed the fake garbage compliments or reassurances they think I want to hear. I will never tell them though. Then it would lose all meaning.

THIS! I had a best friend who I loved, treated like family, and was possibly (probably) I’m love with. I was there for her when she needed months of treatments at clinics and hospitals because her digestive system was being an ass. I held her hand when they had to inject her with morphine because the pain was too much for her. When my problems started showing up, when I made a single verbal mistake, she walked away. Two and a half years of friendship gone because of one comment...I’m mostly healed, but I’m still somewhat bitter about the whole situation.

Agreed! Most days im okay, but some days I wake up and I just know its not gonna be a good day. But i read a post that said "well instead of a good day, just have a day" and that helped me. That day I'll allow myself to feel sad and feel what I feel. Usually after a few hours I slowly start to feel less bad and often the next I'm able to function again. Sometimes theres nothing really you can do than just allow yourself to feel and experience your emotions, even though theyre not nice emotions

I’m always stressed and sad now and then, after my loved ones that passed away I kind of felt like I lost emotion. I barely felt anything, never wanted to feel happy or anything. I barely even smile then I did at the age of 7 I’m 8 now, and I don’t even want to tell my parents about all my pain I have been through that hurts me. Pain that I never told my parents: "being forgotten and a friend who pretended I didn’t exist and just ignored me, my loved ones passing away, feeling stressed and sad every day, calling myself fat, worrying about losing weight, tired everyday, starving myself saying I already ate." This hurts me so much, it’s even hard to forget.

Hi,I'm Gwen. The main reason on why I watch these is because I want to know my state as of right now.. I really dont understand myself😐 I always zone out at certain times in a day and sometimes feel extreme emotions including sadness and anger that I know is harmful because I sometimes accidentally raise my voice at my siblings and get annoyed at the slightest movement, crying myself to sleep at night, get sad or upset about the things I watch as if I can actually relate to them even if I am nowhere close to such depression cause there is almost nothing to even be depressed about in my life and like,I really wanna understand what is happening to me.... And its almost my birthday too and as usual,I am never excited and I actually hated my birthday party last year because something horrible happened. So..uhh...Thanks for sparing your time reading thus even though its abnormally long😅 Have a good day and Wish me luck😊

Same. I can give you some advice: try to find something which makes you feel better and uncomfortable. Stay active too. It's a small thing but can help. When your body is healthy, your mind will be better too. But remember: do it for fun and don't feel pressure. Try to write about your feelings in an secret diary app or something like that. Write about your fears and the things which hurts you. Sometimes honest talk or write about that makes feel less sad. I recommented listening to the music too. It can makes you fell less lonely, reminds you that you're not alone and some poeple are always here to support you no matter what. Here is the playlist I usually listen: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nom4ZYNsn5iHhLs . If you want, check it. I believe in you. Have a nice day!

Hi. I’m Coral. I’m here to tell you my story. Keep in mind, only my parents and some of my family knows about all of this. I’m not afraid, not anymore. I had trauma from my old therapist. She was good at first, that happened the 3rd time we saw her. She had put me in a safety position (which is basically sitting on the your knees, only you’re being held down). Well, she put me in that position, and because of that, I was trapped in this terrified state, unable to escape the fear. I was basically having a panic attack in that room, continuously yelling “MOM, TELL HER TO LET ME GO, PLEASE PLEASEEEE”. But the problem was, I was the source the issue, and because of that, my Mother was afraid to tell my old therapist to let me go, because I was so afraid that, I would’ve injured her. (Keep in mind, I was 9 years old.) And my Mom was right, if she had let me go, I would’ve injured her out of fear. Another therapist came in the room to try and calm me down, but it was no help and only scared me more. Eventually, I had “calmed down” and my old therapist let me go. The second she let me go, I ran out of that room as fast as I possibly could. I ran into the parking lot and went to my Mother’s car. I hope that she is not allowed to give therapy to others, and that she never does what she did to me, to anyone else. I’m 11 now, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. Thank you for reading my story. Sincerely, Coral ♥️

A traumatic experience isn't something you can look up to as if there's a guideline to it, If it has affected you to your core it can be called a traumatic experience. Also don't feel like your problems aren't valid just because someone has it worse than you, always know that your good enough and someone out there cares for you :)

Parents and even sometimes health professionals can be quick to dismiss the long-lasting effects of deep emotional trauma during childhood. I’ve come to realise in the recent years that I’m still healing from all of mine and, sometimes, the mean things people said to me when I didn’t know better come back to haunt me in my adult life. Dealing with these things isn’t easy but it is possible and I remain optimistic. Understanding more about mental health in general has also led me to consider getting tested for autism or adhd, seeing that I can relate so much to people who share their experiences that I thought were unique to me being a failure at life... my perspective on myself is changing a lot. I’m hoping yours will do too as you unpack your feelings.

I think if you're aware of the possibility that you might be faking it-- you probably aren't faking it, because those that are intentionally faking it wouldnt have the same sense of introspection as you do and they certainly wouldn't be watching videos on emotional pain to confirm that they might be feeling emotional pain. Dont compare your manifestations of emotional pain to the stereotypical responses--if you feel bad then that's enough reason to make a change, enough said, not bc you havent reached a certain "threshold" of pain yet

Watching this made me see some sense in some of those things I've experienced/felt/done during my life. I can also see how far I've actually come in my life. The last one made me realize that for sure. I was abused as a young teen. I often had anger outbursts, but got sad/guilty/embarrassed about my outbursts. Always blamed it on my temper, and well, I do have a temper but it's under control now and I rarely let anyone see the angry me. I can't say that I've completely healed, I lost a lot of my life so I'm trying to catch up on things I should know, but with all the emotional difficulties I've had in my life I can say that I know myself pretty well on the emotional plane.. now it's time for the rest.

Every time I make my mom mad by my words, violence comes out of her. She can't tell physical from emotional things. Once she pulled out a knife and was aiming it towards me because she got so mad at me- then my brother had to keep her from doing it. Every time I hear my mom's voice or footsteps, it ruins my whole mood. I never start the fights, I just finish them. Every time she hit me, I would sometimes hit her back if I had enough confidence to. It was my way of self defense. Although I knew that she would only hit me back harder, I just sometimes couldn't resist. I had this anger inside of me every time she started putting violence toward me. I just wish every time I triggered an angry outburst, I could control it.

Ok listen. What your mom is doing is not just wrong but is also ILLEGAL. Next time your mom hits you call the police on her right away. Being physically abused by your parents is one of the worst things anyone can go through. It is a nightmare. No one wants to live like that. I went through the same thing but it's my dad in our case. And he still does it to my little sisters. It is normalized where I live so calling the police will just bring more problems. But if you can do anything about it NEVER hesitate. You can talk to me in case you need someone to talk to. I'll be ready to help you ❤️

In addition to #9, I don’t surround myself with sad boi music. But whenever I do hear sad stuff I like, it hits. However, I do enjoy darker toned stories in games/movies/tv shows/books etc. sometimes I like seeing the villains win, or some crazy shit happens and you feel your protagonists and support characters in an “unwinnable situation”, and either see a clever way for them to get out, or they just don’t.

I am really greatful that psych2go exists. I learned so much about my emotions, how I feel, and if they were normal. Recently I've been in a really bad mental state and I was scared of what was going to happen. I started to worry about everything, isolate myself, feeling worthless and hopeless and I didn't know what was happening. After I watched a few of their videos and this one I understood that what I felt wasn't something I was going through alone. This chanel is very useful because you can learn about mental health easily and free and it's a relief to be able to identify what you're going through. If you're in the same conditon as me right now, know that that darkness won't last forever and the light will come, it juste takes some patience. So I just hope that everyone reading this is going to be fine and know that you matters, have a good day!

I guess it is true I do have emotional pain, but one thing I don't understand is: What should I do if I have emotional pain? I see many suggestion that people who has emotional pain, depression, anxiety or whatsoever, better to share their stories. But, whenever I share my stories, people left me. It makes me pretend like I don't need anybody else, but it's been 5 months and I feel like I'm maxed out, I reached my limit. No one would listen, instead, people surround me tend to blame, or don't want to talk with me anymore because "this person wants to be like this". Funny thing is, I don't want to feel this way. I never asked to be this way, I'm empty and helpless. I'm tired. I'm really tired.

Mental health experts advise people to talk about their problems with someone but when you do ,nobody wants to hear it, they make you regret telling them at all. They make you feel ashamed by saying cruel things like, "Other people are worse off" "You are full of self pity" or the best one yet, "Cross a bridge and get over it." I feel like I putting a spell on people like that and making them feel like that!

i do too; i dont think im qualified enough to tell you what to do but for now, maybe try doing or finding something you enjoy, (drawing for me)and spend time taking care of yourself, at least on a physical level. I;ve recently starting exercising myself, and I think its really helped me release a lot of stress and sadness. If you can, perhaps try cooking something healthy, and try going for walks. And when youre ready, i find that it really helps to give yourself (if possible) the time and space to cry. If you have someone in your life that you can trust and feel safe around, try talking to them, and if not, there are also helplines and therapists that you can talk to. Ive also found a lot of relief in physically writing down my thoughts; doing so has helped me process my emotions and sometimes even offered me solutions. I know these are fairly generic suggestions but they really do help if you can push yourself enough to do them. I wish you the best of luck, I hope you always remember that you deserve happiness and unconditional love. You can do this!

343 - Penitent Narrator no problem, best of luck to you. I forgot to mention but it also helps to keep track of what youre grateful for-once again, pretty generic but it allows you to find happiness in small things and look forward to others. For example, eating something nice, (or just eating at all)or being able to do a hobby, or seeing the sun and moon, etc etc.

“You form toxic relationships” I’ve recently seen lots of videos about toxic friends, etc, and I realize I had lots of these in my life. But seeing this sentence “you form toxic relationships” now, kinda hits different. Usually it’s like “you have toxic relationships” or so. I’ve also heard that, if you’re emotionally in a rather dark or bad place right now, that you will attract those, who’d abuse that or are at a bad place themselves. Now, we’re humans and we like to blame others, but there’s one thought I haven’t really followed, but what if it’s true... *what if I’m the toxic one?* (And don’t even notice?)
