I believe another sign that you still have emotional trauma and need to heal is that if you still get triggered, I have been on a spiritual journey for the last year and it hasn' t always been easy, i' ve learned some really hard lessons, i' ve cried, i' ve awoken and i' ve healed alot, sometimes I think i' ve completly healed then something will trigger me bringing me back to all those bad feelings, anger, hurt, rage, resentment and then I think wow I guess i' m not totally healed yet, it' s a process and it won' t happen over night! I send out lots of Love to those going through this, it' s not easy 💗❤️💗

One of my biggest emotional wounds was caused by shutting myself off of falling in love. 15 years ago, I experienced one of the hardest breakups in my life. Since then I have held on to that emotional damage, which ended up causing more damage to my confidence. What helped me heal that wound was telling myself that it wasn't my fault and that I'm worth much more.

Marital Breakdown crushed all my hopes and dreams. Still living day to day or rather surviving each day instead of living it. Oh yeah I have BPD/EUPD, childhood trauma and possible autistic traits. I get freaked out if people come too close to my personal space. I'm 40 now...I can't really see it getting better to a functional level ever. I was mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally drained for almost two years. Heartbreak from a boy i never even had and stress from work led me to neglect myself. I was very aware that I was not the normal me anymore. I tried a lot of things to move on and tried my hardest with work, but it wasn’t working. It wasn’t until April of this year that everything started to change. I realized how my boss manipulated and gaslighted me. So, I quit my work and I started standing up for myself. I found another job and now I wake up happy and excited with life. The boy who broke my heart cut me off from his life and I can’t thank him enough for doing that since I couldn’t do it ughh. I am now learning to be at peace with myself and the things that happened. And even though sometimes I still feel sadness, i embrace it and let it go after writing about it in my journal.

You know, I’m a student at a military college, and a lot of the people here struggle with that a lot. But I think what really helped me is framing the definition of weak a bit differently. Think of the emotional wound as a challenge to overcome. Is it weak to avoid the challenge, or stand and face it head on? Choosing to talk about stuff and be emotional to somebody feels weak because it makes us vulnerable. Hell, I felt it too when I talked to my therapist for the first time. But by choosing to talk about the issue, you are challenging your demon head on. That is honorable. That is admirable. And that is hella strong.

To hear all of this, I’m having emotional trauma from bullying and backstabbers. It traumaticed me much like I want to not talk to any human out there. I’ve been suffering trauma from bullying for at least 4 years of trying to heal it, but nothing has worked. When I talked to an adult about this, I didn’t feel anything but more fear. And about the backstabbers, I wanted to stop all of the relationships I have with anyone, and never had any one either.

The Bible says that you can know that you have eternal life in heaven, but If you are putting your trust in anything other than the finished work of Jesus on the cross to get you to heaven, you do not understand God's way. Honestly I literally love watching u guys videos. I myself have suffered from mental health issues. Like BPD, bipolar disorder, suicidal thoughts, cutting, depression and especially anxiety. I’ve been battling with anxiety for years and when I first got to high school it got really bad to the point where I’m having anxiety attacks. I’m still learning how to cope with my anxiety and it’s hard but it’s not impossible bc ik It will all be worth it in the end bc God has a plan for me. For those who are facing challenges, ur not alone and there is ppl out there who care and is willing to help u bc u wanna live ur life and not let ur problems take over ur life plus life is short so we all want to make it worth living and I promise whatever ur going thru will pass and better days are ahead. Since getting a divorce, realizing all the things he did and all the lies, then losing my best friend… the person who was my rock… who just walked away without another thought, and have 2 failed relationships that just walked away as well… my parents in the moments of my husband leaving saying not to call I’m just annoying…. And then going back to teaching where you are, basically by everyone, treated like you’re not good enough…. It’s been so hard. And having RSD… so all these things have just helped to solidify it all. I am alone… I have noticed I have just filled my life with soooo many projects I just don’t leave a moment to think. I zone out into the phone anytime I start thinking.

I keep getting hurt by people who claim they love me more than life. It seems fake. I can't let go of the betrayal and am just stuck in the loop of my emotions. Even more so, when they don't seem to understand or feel guilty about any of it. Makes me feel unimportant and overly dramatic. Like I am overreacting to the situation. But maybe the reason why I am still stuck on this is because nobody has stood up for me other than myself. And now all that is left in me is bitterness and contempt. Everything is fake. People only care about themselves and they only pretend to empathize or care about you. It's just a sick world. I am sorry for this. I am just still trying to heal and not to spiral. From what I've experienced, if I'm afraid to do something I can feel it. I compare it to standing at the edge of a cliff and looking over water. You know it's safe to jump but something's holding you back. Not wanting to do something is simply that; you just don't feel like doing it 😕

We laughed together, played games, sang, and enjoyed listening as our 16-year-old son, Ethan, played the piano for us. I packed a lunch for Ethan for a church mountain hike he was going on the following day. My mother (who was visiting from out of state) and I woke early with Ethan on Saturday morning. He hugged me and smiled, never pulling away or rushing me. He got in the car, waved, said he'd see me later and he loved me. It was hard to watch my "new driver" heading out on his own that morning. As Ethan pulled out of the gate, I turned to my mother and said, "It's just so hard letting go." Little did I know how much "letting go" I was really doing. That was the last time I saw Ethan. He did not make it home that evening. That afternoon, a friend tried to contact my husband, leaving an urgent message to call him back. He tried several times to return the call to no avail. As we were preparing supper, an overwhelming feeling of deep concern for Ethan filled my heart. I quietly blinked back tears. I glanced out the window, half expecting to see a police officer pull up to the house, but no one arrived. However, within a few minutes, a patrol car DID pull into the driveway. In my heart, I feared the worst. My husband and I went out to meet the officer, who confirmed our fears. Hesitantly, he told us our son had fallen off of a bluff and had succumbed to his injuries. Our hearts were crushed; they still are. Yet, in all of our brokenness, deep, continual grief and loneliness, our family has such a blessed Hope and assurance that we will see our dear son and brother again. You see, when Ethan was a young boy, he was saved; he put his faith in Jesus alone to forgive his sins and to take him to Heaven when he died. He realized some very important truths from the Bible that he would want to share with you. His Story Everyone is a sinner. Sin is any violation of God’s Law. God is holy, just and righteous, and He cannot allow sin in His presence. Ethan realized that he - like all of us - had sinned; and his sin separated Him from God. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ” (Romans 3:23) “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12) He understood that, because of his sin, he deserved to spend eternity in Hell. “For the wages of sin is death;” (Romans 6:23a) [Wages: price] “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) Ethan believed that Jesus, God’s Son, paid the price for all sin when He died on the cross - because His sinless sacrifice was the only thing that could satisfy the just demands of a righteous, holy God. Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb, but He arose the third day, triumphant over sin, death, and Hell. Jesus is alive today! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Ethan was sorry for his sin, repented (turned), and received by faith the free gift that God offered to him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b) Because of this great salvation, Ethan lived his life serving Jesus. He worked hard to spread this Good News to the world. He is alive in Heaven with Jesus today; and because of this great HOPE in Christ, we know we will see him again soon - not because he was a great kid, but because of his faith in the great Saviour! “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28) Your Story What about you? What if you had fallen to your death that day - What if you were to die today? Where will you spend eternity - Heaven or the Lake of Fire? There will not be any parties in the Lake of Fire. It is a place of eternal torment for those who reject God's Son. The Word of God is very clear that there is only One Way to Heaven. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) We did not know that Ethan would step into eternity that day; however, because he put his faith in Jesus alone for his salvation, Ethan was ready to go. Some day - perhaps today - you will take your last breath here on earth, and you will step into eternity. Where you spend eternity is determined by what you do with Jesus Christ. Will you accept Him or reject Him? You are not promised another day or another breath. None of us deserve God's mercy and grace, but let me warn you friend, that if you reject His FREE gift, you are already condemned and when you die, you will suffer the torment of burning in hell for eternity in a lake of fire where you will be forever separated from God and all that is loving and good. Precious Memories-By Sonya Lakey Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. We laughed together, played games, sang, and enjoyed listening as our 16-year-old son, Ethan, played the piano for us. I packed a lunch for Ethan for a church mountain hike he was going on the following day. My mother (who was visiting from out of state) and I woke early with Ethan on Saturday morning. He hugged me and smiled, never pulling away or rushing me. He got in the car, waved, said he'd see me later and he loved me. It was hard to watch my "new driver" heading out on his own that morning. As Ethan pulled out of the gate, I turned to my mother and said, "It's just so hard letting go." Little did I know how much "letting go" I was really doing. That was the last time I saw Ethan. He did not make it home that evening. That afternoon, a friend tried to contact my husband, leaving an urgent message to call him back. He tried several times to return the call to no avail. As we were preparing supper, an overwhelming feeling of deep concern for Ethan filled my heart. I quietly blinked back tears. I glanced out the window, half expecting to see a police officer pull up to the house, but no one arrived. However, within a few minutes, a patrol car DID pull into the driveway. In my heart, I feared the worst. My husband and I went out to meet the officer, who confirmed our fears. Hesitantly, he told us our son had fallen off of a bluff and had succumbed to his injuries. Our hearts were crushed; they still are. Yet, in all of our brokenness, deep, continual grief and loneliness, our family has such a blessed Hope and assurance that we will see our dear son and brother again. You see, when Ethan was a young boy, he was saved; he put his faith in Jesus alone to forgive his sins and to take him to Heaven when he died. He realized some very important truths from the Bible that he would want to share with you. His Story Everyone is a sinner. Sin is any violation of God’s Law. God is holy, just and righteous, and He cannot allow sin in His presence. Ethan realized that he - like all of us - had sinned; and his sin separated Him from God. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ” (Romans 3:23) “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12) He understood that, because of his sin, he deserved to spend eternity in Hell. “For the wages of sin is death;” (Romans 6:23a) [Wages: price] “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) Ethan believed that Jesus, God’s Son, paid the price for all sin when He died on the cross - because His sinless sacrifice was the only thing that could satisfy the just demands of a righteous, holy God. Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb, but He arose the third day, triumphant over sin, death, and Hell. Jesus is alive today! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Ethan was sorry for his sin, repented (turned), and received by faith the free gift that God offered to him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b) Because of this great salvation, Ethan lived his life serving Jesus. He worked hard to spread this Good News to the world. He is alive in Heaven with Jesus today; and because of this great HOPE in Christ, we know we will see him again soon - not because he was a great kid, but because of his faith in the great Saviour! “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28) Your Story What about you? What if you had fallen to your death that day - What if you were to die today? Where will you spend eternity - Heaven or the Lake of Fire? There will not be any parties in the Lake of Fire. It is a place of eternal torment for those who reject God's Son. The Word of God is very clear that there is only One Way to Heaven. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) We did not know that Ethan would step into eternity that day; however, because he put his faith in Jesus alone for his salvation, Ethan was ready to go. Some day - perhaps today - you will take your last breath here on earth, and you will step into eternity. Where you spend eternity is determined by what you do with Jesus Christ. Will you accept Him or reject Him? You are not promised another day or another breath. Today compared to last year when I got out of a very toxic (romantic) relationship I'm doing much better, I've been through what's in this list, I recently found someone, we're in a relationship but I need more time than normal to process things like emotions or things that naturally happen in a relationship, I have many doubts but all I do is stay calm and not overthink too much, if I need time for myself I take it and I solve my own things, it's mostly fears, It's like I'm scared to trust someone this way and to get hurt the same way, but I'm doing well, we have very good communication and it's great, I'm glad I'm "risking" and going on with my life. I don't know if I can heal emotionally from a bad experience at work. I was taken to my supervisor's office with her and a high-ranking chef. They (or mostly the chef) told me that I've been touching my coworkers too much. Not THAT type of touch, of course not! Just casual ones, like on arms or shoulders. I was always very outgoing at work. When I asked her if anyone reported a complaint, she said it didn't matter. She told me that we need the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment, and that I pretty much shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school (I work at a university's catering service). She told me I shouldn't tell my stories because they may be inappropriate to my coworkers. Now yeah, I pretty much don't have a filter, and sometimes I guess I do say "inappropriate" stuff at work, but not horribly nor intentionally. I like to joke around and have fun with my coworkers (and I know they like to have fun with each other too), but I guess it isn't like that after all (more or less). I really didn't get specific information from the chef about what and who. She understands and likes that I'm outgoing, but she made it sound risky and in need of limits, for good behavior and my coworkers' sake. And again, that I shouldn't touch my coworkers (shoulders or arms) without their consent. But seriously, I'm not a creep! I don't randomly hug people or anything like that. I didn't mean to be so "handsy" (I say loosely). I'm so embarrassed about the office lecture. I am not like Biden at all. I'm really not. Have I really gone that far at work? It shouldn't have gotten to that point. And I expressed this story in Dan Schneider videos, and a few people have either beaten me up or lectured me. That's why I'm starting to wonder if the office thing really does make me a bad person.

high school is hard as people giving "emotional wounds" happens all the time whether its bullying, jokes that aren't jokes etc, but as a result of this I have to gotten many emotional wounds and as I haven't finished high school I still get them. But as a result of this I give other people wounds to as I feel like that its not right for just me to have it and only feels fair if they have it to, but sometimes I just pretend the people who have wronged and wounded me (who I will call "they") didn't do anything so it seems fair but really isn't, this can be called revenge and I have been dealing with it, it has caused sadness anger and I just felt so depressed and worthless, and when I realised "they" caused it I get angry and it causes me to hurt my friends and "wound" them. Right now I'm on holiday to meet my family and it has really helped me a lot and helped me clear my mind, as focusing on the people who have wronged and wounded me wont do anything and trying to get revenge wont "heal" my wounds but only make them worse, so I decided to start focusing on myself and to start "healing". The cycle of revenge and violence has left some scars and trauma on me hence why I started to focus on my self but the bad thing is that this whole cycle of hatred and revenge could just start over when I go back to school which is why I'm trying to figure out what to do. My friends have gotten used to me being violent and have became violent to but now I want to change but I can only change myself not my friends, but when I found your channel it really helped me a lot and to start clearing my mind, I just want high school to end so I can start to fully focus on myself and to be a better person, but that is in a couple years. That was all from me, a bit of a long comment hope anyone doesn't mind but I just had to get this off my chest. For my personal emotional injury, the way I minilised the possibility of it happening again was for me to stop being social. This method has, worked flawlessly since te 8th of August 2000 at 18:34.

The most difficult thing is that you have to pretend as if everything is fine infront of others, when you are broken inside and there is no one who completely understands you, even your family members.... You have to somehow live this life, even if you are not physically and mentally good. I Am in survival mode without losing a loved one and it's not always friends that are backstabbing you it's also family members and i guess its true that people who claims that loves you are hurting you the most mentally or physically.

My mom was in a depression state when I was around 5 since my dad broke up with her.But she didn’t know how to deal with it so she just yelled at me and my sister.This caused me to have emotional trauma because I couldn’t understand what was wrong.I began to think that I was the thing that was wrong at around the age of 7 causing me to have bad grades,couldn’t concentrate,couldn’t understand etc.This of course made my mom even more mad. I didn’t want to go out because I thought more people would yell at me,at school I was bullied for being the “quiet and weird kid” but I had 2 true friends.This was great for me but I couldn’t talk about my emotions because I was scared of losing them.I eventually had cried in front of my best friend which caused me to spill all my emotions.She realized my feelings and she said she was going through something like it.Her mom and dad played favorites,her little brother(the fave child) was a devil smoking when he was in elementary and more but he always blamed her.After talking about my feelings I still felt empty,only a bit filled.I had what seemed to be social anxiety and it made me think I was dramatic and spoiled and I never could speak to my parents about my feelings till this day.I am in 8th grade getting bad grades and not much sleep.I watched this video about a year ago although stuff didn’t really change I did get more confidence so I’d say this really helped and is already helping me a lot.

You may not see this but I was abused physically by my dad at a young age and I’m currently being abused by my mom emotionally. I’ve spend my early years of elementary school spending my mothers or Father’s Day lunches sitting alone at the end of the table wondering why mom and dad aren’t here. I cried a lot and now I have no passion I waste away every day I’m living but not alive I hate waking up. I’m not suicidal but I wish I was never born that’s it. Early memories of my dad hitting me in the face watching him beat my family members. I wish I can escape abuse:(

Just believe that within ourselves when we recognize acceptance and talk it over to some trusted friends and loved one our deeply buried emotional traumas that we will be healed! Just like the Good Lord God gave in our blood 12 steps coagulating factors to patch up our physical wounds provided us with this wonderful healing process He has also provided us with steps inside our mind n heart to heal our emotional traumas k!

Forgotten birthdays? Not something I've celebrated since I was less than 10 (never celebrated Christmas either which i am glad about now since i dont see the materialistic view of the holiday). Not sure why it started but having lost several close family members around my birthday, it's taken a much more sad and somber tone. Not associating that time of year with life but death. A parent moved away at an early age to come here to U.s. and even after reconnecting, that feeling of abandonment remains (which led to jealousy issues and fear of losing those i care about). Also happened to move several times throughout my childhood to teenage years around that time of year, leaving everyone and everything behind. After numerous attempts at ending my life, I finally began my journey of introspection. Had more devastating experiences since then, but managed to still survive. It helped me in realizing, who I can count on and how selfish I have been by only looking at things through my perspective. Having gone through some serious anger management issues as I was getting acquainted with my depression as a child, I'm grateful to have learned about empathy and sympathy (from my anger management classes in middle school). Just thought I'd share with the hopes it helps someone who is going through it know, ....it's going to be ok. Nothing is truly solved sometimes but it becomes manageable. Takes some (lot of) work and self honesty but it's never too late to change the inner narrative.

I don't have a life I merely exist. I do have people who love me (family/ friends) but despite that I will never like myself, I've felt this way as long as I can remember. I don't feel worthy of happiness even though I would like it, I am my own worst enemy, I'd have to kill me to save me...I don't know how to do that. My parents were emotionally abusive. They got strict and even when I was having a bad day, they still shouted at me and criticized me for small things. My siblings would bug me and I was not allowed to hit them, because apparently I don't realize my own strength, the stupidest excuse I ever heard. And when I wanted to hit them, it is because they know how much they deserved it. The problem was I wasn't allowed to do what any normal sibling would do. Even if they totally deserved it. They would do things like cry and as soon as my nana came, they shut up. But then I am just supposed to be the vocal nice guy who is supposed to put up with everyone's bullshit and I can't fight back. Because they say something that I would believe and then later I would find out that it was a trick. They just said it because they wanted me to do it. My nana always talks about how it's rude to talk over people. She'd stand there for an hour criticizing me about one small thing I forgot to do in the kitchen. If I had a bad day at school, and I wouldn't want to talk about it, I would have a lot worse to deal with at home. And I am not allowed to leave. Because she's always out with her friends drinking or whatever and I have to watch the kids. The kids have their own minds. They don't want to listen to me which is why I don't be around to watch them. I let the adult toddlers come home and deal with it. And they criticize me about that too. My little brother was spoiled rotten, so he was the ringleader when it came to the kids.

ever since i started 7th grade my life went rapidly downhill. because i am raised too good i dont swear nor do any bad stuff, but you know 7th grade. My emotional trauma was little when i was in middle school but now my trauma has been taking over my life. how do i ignore my stress you probably ask? self-harm.... and even after all im going through i still want to be the kindest person in class but yet i always get my heart broken in school. and even when i get bullied and harassed i still try to make it up to the people that harassed me but yet i get more harassment causing me to be sad and eventually harm myself. (im crying rn btw)

I approve this, i thought i was like trapped in just 4 walls, just doing my tasks and that's all, i didn't even have the opportunity to do something that gives me enough motivation to live, just home tasks and that's that. Honestly, it was boring and so repetitive, i thought i was just there: trying to keep myself alive, but i wasn't alive at all.
