I've noticed I don't get acne when i just leave my face alone. Every time i do a mask or scrub or use products I start getting random pimples.
@yuvos15234 жыл бұрын
That's actually very common when you start using an exfoliant like a scrub or mask! When you start using an exfoliant regularly, you might get a heavy breakout first. That's because exfoliants stimulate cell turnover and kind of push out the remaining dead cells clogging your pores. Due to this happening "aggressively" this quickly builds up and causes whiteheads. However, after this "purge" this will not likely happen again (unless you stop exfoliating and forget about it for a long time).

This might be a very underrated or unknown secret, but what helped my skin more than ANYTHING ever before was getting tons and tons of fresh air. Especially cold air. I can’t even explain why or how but when I started to go for long walks, literally two or three hours each day, instead of going to the gym, my skin got so much better. Not only is it much clearer, but also looks fresher and healthier. Things you should note though: 1. of course you need to wear sunscreen 2. go for walks in areas where you most likely are alone so you don’t have to wear a mask, since that would have the complete opposite effect, unfortunately.

My mistakes that you pointed out were: leaving cleansing water on skin and using anti-aging way too early. I didn't know you were suppose to wash off the cleansing water because you were also suppose to use it after washing your face so I thought it meant you don't have to wash it after. I used anti-aging early because of my mom. Here in the Philippines we're a hugeeee fan of the korean industry as if we're literally obsessed; we started romanticizing bleaching our skin while those who kept their brown skin get called "dirty (-looking)". Apparently my mom also thinks the same and so does everyone around me, it's sad honestly.

@@anushkathakur6486 no, it didn't. It actually gave me a clear skin, and usually gets rid of pimples in 2-3 days. If you suffered from acnes because of a moisturizer, check the ingredients. Disclaimer: the products below are stuff that works on me, but it doesn't necessarily mean it will for everyone. Like Liah says, the needs of people's skin differ from person to person. In the morning, I always use Quickfx's tinted moisturizer (cause I don't wear foundation). At night, I generally use Moringa-O's herbal oil, but I also have other moisturizers from Himalaya Herbals, iWhite, and Luxe Organix. Moringa-O's herbal oil isn't exactly called a moisturizer, but it moisturizes my skin. It was recommended to me as something that gets rid of pimples.

As nice as it feels: The big (BIG!) Problem with silk sheets is the they cannot be washed at a temperature high enough to rid them of bacteria, germs and oils. This is why I prefer fine gauge cotton - 60 degree + Celsius wash and the gunk is GONE. - silk on the other hand: 30 degrees C.... below skin temperature = oils and filth STAYS on your sheets and thus on your linen. And therefore right back at your face. Yuk. Alternatively, try cotton satin. I personally had very good experiences with real fine 100% linen, make sure it’s fine and pure linen, not rough stuff. Linen cools down incredibly and absorbs moisture (up to 35%!) AND gets rid of the moisture very, very quickly!

It has finally managed to subside after prescription creams and not wearing makeup since I've been in in quarantine. I never knew what the cause was. Thank you sooo much Liah Yoo♥️.These tips really helped me out to heal my acne. I watched this like 6 months ago,,,I had lost all hope that someday my skin will ever be acne-free. I related to almost all mistakes she mentioned here😂-like skipping moisturizer for oily skin,washing my skin aggressively,or too many times a day,using acne treatments alllll the time,and damaging my skin barrier using abrasive scrubs... and then after watching this I decided that I should stop doing all this right away... I started using a very mild cleanser,a water based moisturizer and serum,using acne treatments only twice a week,and most importantly I started trusting my skin that it'll surely heal🤞.And now my skin has become quite acne free,zits occur only once in a month and quickly go away without leaving scars. To all those who are feeling down because of acne,or are having self-esteem issues,I wish that you find hope that your skin will heal,and that you are beautiful just the way you are.☀️♥️

7:07 this is so true. I have oily skin and I used to use a very drying facial cleanser and I didn't drink enough water. My skin started to produce so much oil and it was very greasy that I needed to dry it out even more so that it produced even more oil. When I switched to a more gentle cleanser, used a moisturizer (I used coconut milk btw), and drank enough water my skin became balanced and produced the right amount of oil. I can also notice that my skin is slowly getting better.

ahhh this is honestly such an amazing video !! after watching this i realised that there were definitely things i was doing wrong, such as using cotton pads excessively to remove makeup, and using purifying masks on my entire face :0 also not treating my face equally; today i was in a rush to moisturise so i was being a little bit less precise and just rubbed it all over, thinking i might have actually even put too much. i did notice my skin felt and looked better tho, and after watching this video it proves that i wasnt putting enough or moisturising correctly !! so thank you so much for correcting me and saving all of our skins (literally) 🥺

I'm also addicted in wiping cotton on my face. Its just so satisfying. I also use cleansers often in a day because my skin gets very oily and i don't like the look of it (though it makes my skin look glowy, the oil tends to get too much and it makes my face look dirty.) I've also stopped using moisturizer because i thought it made my face even more oily. Watching this has made me realize I've done so many wrong things on my face. Hopefully, i get right back on track❤💞

I totally fell into the trap of not using moisturizer because my skin felt oily. I haven't used a lotion for years and tbh I think it did a lot of damage to my skin. Whenever I got acne it healed, but left dark spots. Also my skin because oilier, but wrinklier and tougher. I started using moisturizer for the first time in ages and my skin feels much softer and bouncier. It also just got rid of a lot of that weird oily, dry, flaky feeling. There's still skin damage from years of not using lotion, but hopefully it starts to go back to the way it's supposed to be with time 🤞🤞🤞

"Using retinol or retinoid way too early." I was 18 when I first used prescription 0.05% tretinoin for my acne. My second derm switched it to Differin (0.1% adapalene) when I was 21. I'm 22 now and my skin looks plump that I often get mistaken as a 17-year-old. 😄 It's okay to use Vitamin A early as long as it's supervised by a board-certified derm.

I used to have very minimal breakouts. I would have 1 major gigantic pimple once a month and that was it. However, I got greedy everytime I see pictures of other women with such glowing skins . That's when I decided to start applying products to my skin. The first product was green tea . I had been seeing people spraying green tea on their faces to refresh their skin and I thought that it was kind of harmless so I started with that first. How wrong I was. I think I sensitized my skin with that . After using it , I never stopped having acne. I have new ones every week . So this is kind of a warning to people with naturally beautiful skin . Sorry for the long post. I just really had to get it off my chest. It was my biggest regret in terms of trying to enhance my beauty.

TIP 4 has made me change my mind about way to apply moisturizer. I used to apply more moisturizer on oily T-zone than other areas. As a result, my skin become oily and grease in the next morning. And I think i was the fault of rich moisturizer. Therefore, I keep switching moisturizer to find the suitable one but I did not realize that the the suitable for my oily T zone is not suitable for my dehydrating regions. Thank for your clear advice and example 🙏. TIP 10: I have learned that we have to change pillowcase often to prevent breakdown and acnes but my cotton pillowcase seem to absorb dirty things and it is hard to clean it properly. Change to silk one is so beneficial.

Oh and remember when using sheet masks NEVER I REPEAT NEVER leave it on for too long !! Leaving your face mask on too long can cause reverse osmosis of your skin and make you more prone to breakouts. Which means after 15-20 minutes, the moisture that was just put in your skin gets sucked back out into the mask ALONG WITH YOUR NATURAL OILS ! thank you & take care of yourself bitch 💋

Additional tip for my fellow peeps suffering from acne: go talk to your dermatologist! Yes, there are many many things that you can do to help your skin, starting with the correct skincare (so Liah's tips are all great), a healthy diet, etc. HOWEVER, that's not always all there is to it! Some people are just genetically predisposed to getting acne, others might have hormonal issues that are causing it, and so many more things. That's completely normal & there's nothing wrong with getting it checked out and seeing if doctors might be able to help you. I know this doesn't apply to everybody but I'm just a bit frustrated cause I often hear stuff like "Just drink water and take care of your skin, then you won't have acne!" when that's just not true. People can live a healthy lifestyle, have an amazing skincare routine and still get acne. It isn't always that 'easy'.

YES i struggled with acne on my cheeks for so long and I was constantly switching up products, trying different cleansers, chemical peels, acne treatments etc. etc. and my acne would go away for a few days and then go right back to being really bad. I finally just decided to trust my skin, and stopped using everything completely and started just rinsing my skin with water in the morning. My acne has never been better. The acne on my cheeks has gone away completely. I still struggle with forehead acne but that's only cause I have a really bad habit of touching my face in that area. I know some of us need that extra helping hand with our acne, but sometimes just leaving your skin alone to do it's thing is the best solution.
