We had minuscule appliances in Spain because part of the fabric of society there is walking a circuit to the shops and meeting up with friends. If you shop every day but Sunday, you don’t need much in terms of storage.

LOL at the "tiny little kitchens" shown here, they're full fledged kitchens over here in Europe. Have a look at average flats in the UK and Czech Republic, in fats of 50-60 sqm. It'll put things in perspective. :) Decent video though, thank you.

10:21. Love that tiny aqua kitchen. I’m trying to plan a container tiny house. This is close to what I envisioned, except I use a countertop oven and a portable induction burner, which can be put away when not in use. The interior of a container is approx 7 1/2’ wide so this would work. I would put a shelf across the windows to keep herbs etc.

Completely agree for the human in the process. Admire that you always care about the needs and love emotions of your clients. At the very end … the kitchen is the most used space …. for the owner. Must love it as you say.

If you don’t have pull outs, a bin that fits the whole space and can be pulled all the way out and onto a counter is a great option. Mostly they are used in uppers but they can be done in lowers as well. A cookie sheet can work as a slide out (I have one coraling my parchment paper, aluminum foil, etc. on a shelf that is adjusted to only about 4” of clearance and added an IKEA interior drawer below it.) A tub or large bin that fits through the door and to the back directly behind the door could be used to help with pull out access in a blind corner, with another one behind it. Not useful for storing lots of heavy items, but that’s probably not what you store there. For a few $ instead of thousands for a magic corner (which I’m not sure if it can be installed after cabinet installation) it makes this area much more usable and accessible if needed.

Great video. I have a small kitchen. I'm in America. Open concepts are popular here but I'm thankful I do not have one. I don't want anyone seeing my (possibly) messy kitchen when they are sitting in my living room for a visit. Lol

The corner pullout that you were wondering how to get to the things in back is actually a cart that pulls all the way out, and the things in the back are on triangular shelves that swing into the open space after you take the cart out.

I never thought of a corner shallow spice cupboard. I have a bit bigger of a walk though kitchen with 3doorways and not enough counter space so this was very helpful. Only thing is glass doors would need constant cleaning

Counter depth refrigerator has been great for me but would probably not work well for a family. I bought a size appropriate restaurant style wire rack to place in a space next to my kitchen. The previous owner of the house had a bottled water set up there and I decided that I needed a place to put my small appliances that would not clutter my countertop. On my countertops I only have my blender, coffee maker, and air fryer which are things I use on a very regular basis. My KitchenAid mixer, pressure cooker, microwave, and a few other things go on the rack. My range is a bluestar and I have to have the appropriate style vent above it because of the heat that comes from it would burn out microwave after microwave! In addition, I have a peninsula that juts out from the kitchen and gives me space for company and keeps the kitchen uncrowded. One day I'd like to have a large, slightly oversized kitchen just so that I can have enough room for friends to help prep whenever I am entertaining. Meanwhile, I am happy with my small kitchen. Before they moved, some friends with mine had a kitchen that was even smaller than mine, but they had a huge pantry! That meant they were able to keep all of their small appliances in the pantry except for their coffee maker which is something they used every day.

Because I have a small and weirdly-shaped 1921 kitchen, I've made my plans that include 15-in deep lower cabinets. I'll store large pots in them, thrilled to be able to reach whatever is in them. I'm having them custom built. I'm not sure I can just buy them However, I'm watching for a sturdy piece of furniture I could use there such as a large, taller TV stand.

I enjoy your channel and personality. For someone who promotes function first, I feel that you missed it on the very small contemporary space where a fairly large inset space held nothing but a large plant. That could have easily been used for a nice pantry and general storage which would have also visually balanced the fridge on the opposite end All that kitchen looked go for, was someone who had little intention of using it. It looked good, but lacked function, imo

I live in Canada. So far these are all large compared to anything I ever had. But if you go into some of the new grey prison homes in the new subdivisions, the kitchens are big.

Those toe kick pull outs and pets or muddy outside conditions are a really horrible mix. Having had a kitchen with those I know from experience. Dirt and dog fur finds it's way in no matter how carefully you clean and you do not want to keep anything in there that has anything to do with food prep.
