Het Kevin, may I be so bold as to give you some tips on how to improve your boardslides? My friends have been telling me to get the rail underneath my front foot (except for tail/blunt slides, where you want to get it under your back foot). This was a real gamechanger for me, because it gives a lot more stability on the rail, and makes it easier to pop off the rail. They also use this technique to do 270s and pretzels out, which I am told is practically impossible with the rail in the middle of your board. If you try this, please tell me what you think. Thanks for reading and thank you for hosting a great channel.

Which Rails are the easiest? Can you make a "What is how difficult in the Park" Video?
@artiisboarding7 жыл бұрын
Jo Go It is a personal preference. Some guys absolutely love big jumps and find them easy, while being „scared“ of smaller once. However every resort has some kind of placing system for differently difficult lines.
@fr-ik37497 жыл бұрын
i was just about to say that! i personlly like big jumps cause i always over shoot the landing on small once, and even tho they are small it still hurts when you miss the landing hahaha.
@artiisboarding7 жыл бұрын
Fr-ik Yeah, especially if you land in flat it could really mess you up!
@fr-ik37497 жыл бұрын
yup, that hurts like a bitch! big jumps that shouldn't be a problem, but its always better to go to long than to short! knuckle than fall all the way down the landing dosent sound to good to me, basically a double bail
@artiisboarding7 жыл бұрын
Fr-ik knuckle is worse than flat landing, because it normally goes up a little. So the compression is even higher. U can see the results of such bails at some slopestyle events. Sometimes the guys and girls are falling down deep in the landing, but are able to compete in the next round. Hard knuckle bail grabs more attention...

great job considering consist rain. short rail but perfect for learning. I personally think skateboards are perfect for learning rails, granted popping is easier than ollies, but for boardslides and not being strapped, easier to bail. anyway, to each it's own.

What’s the difference between lip slide and boardslide?
@Tokes2327 жыл бұрын
Jacob Kiley with a Lip Side the rail is approached from a toe side, and you have to get the rear “lip” of the board over the rail, regular board Slide, rail is approached from heal side, and you just kinda set the board on the rail.
@lealicus20477 жыл бұрын
Jacob Kiley board slides are mounted directly. lip slides you have to swing the tail over the rail

Hey SnowboardProCamp, I am moving to Breckenridge, CO the first week of January. I have already bought my epic local pass. I can front lib on big rails but on more on my right binding (I’m goofy) then middle of my board. I can’t normal board slide any tips
@artiisboarding7 жыл бұрын
The Flat Landerz had the same issue with boardslides. You have to jump above the rail to get it working. I was jumping beside it and tried to bring my board over the rail. I guess I was scared of the obstacle being „behind me“. As soon as you commit and jump over the rail, so you land at the center of your board, it’ll work perfectly. You can try to completely jump over some small rails to get the feeling of it. Regarding the right foot issue while Lipsliding, it could look cool (more like a nose slide). However it’ll be due to you jumping too far in this case. Have fun and stay safe!

Question, how is it a backside boardslide when you front side onto the rail and vice versa for the frontside?
@sander93197 жыл бұрын
Fox Deisig it’s weird but it works the other way around with spinning of jumps
@Cudderx7 жыл бұрын
Has to do with which side you approach the rail from not which way your facing when going down. For example; I ride goofy. I approach the rail on the left side making the rail to my backside, when I hop onto the rail with my chest facing downhill that would be a backside boardslide. If I approached the rail the same side and did a boardslide with my chest facing up the hill it would actually be a backside lipslide, because my tail end had to come up over the rail for me to slide in that direction.

Try 50-50 first those are the easiest and the help you to get the felling of the rail :) also it's easier to save your self if you are slippin
@0ffaI6 жыл бұрын
Just start off with flat rails, they feel just like a box except thinner. If you feel you're not aligned well enough and are losing your balance, just ride or pop off the rail. If you're comfortable on thin and kinked boxes you'll be golden.

Wait I’m confused. Why did they first two look the same to me?
@tylerrasmussen7984 жыл бұрын
Jacklyn Tiangco the first one the rail is “in front” of him and when he lifts off to get on the rail he is moving his chest toward the pipe. The second time the way he comes down the run he has to come at it a little behind him and it’s his back that has to move toward the rail
