I love this podcast with Tiffany. A lot of take aways from this especially on finding time to make yourself happy of what is enough and thinking of what I am doing now is "what for? ". Hustling and bustling with work and not able to get time to spend with loved ones is really hit me to the heart. Thank you Erika for sharing this podcast. God bless you more!

This is the most powerful episode yet. Erika with the K deserves a lot of credit for inviting Tiffany Aliche on the podcast. I generally listen to podcasts on Apple Podcasts or Google Podcasts, but I had to switch to KZbin to leave a remark. Thank you both again, Erika and Tiffany.

My boss of 14.5 years called me a “seat filler” after I told him my mom and grandma were sick. I requested if I could work from home to be available for rides, appointments, procedures etc. and was open to negotiating which days. He said NO! WE NEED YOU IN THE OFFICE FOR OPTICS. And this was a small family owned real estate business that promoted fam first. Anyway, I have been self-employed since 2018 and now coach women of color in their second season of life to be more self-confident and thrive on their own. Blessings!

Erika, This fifty-nine year old woman has learned much from your podcast and KZbin channel, but this interview with Tiffany Aliche is my favorite so far. I loved that you two are so smart, strong, and yet vulnerable so that the important lessons of life are shared. Tiffany is right. You can do great work and take care of yourself. Thank you. You are blessed and a blessing.

This is one of the most amazing interviews you've done with a guest. It really comes down to when you've become financially independent, then you can start really focusing your energy and money more on the people you love. Because you never know when the last time you get to hug and kiss them.

This was a great podcast, and an eye opener. My husband and I are working 7 days a week from before daylight to after dark. It is our own business, but it is wearing us out, and we miss so many things with our family. I am going to redouble my effort to find at least part time help. Thank you for these “make you think” editions.

That thing about the side hustle is so good! I have met so many people who bought thousands of dollars on new cameras or lessons for this and that because they want to do aaa side hustle. You shouldn't be spending anything on a side hustle. Do what you already can given your current resources! I took a weekend job bagging groceries because you don't need any new skills for it.

Wow! Great podcast. This is just right timing for me. I just lost my 2 dogs this year(14/16 years). I would take back the days when i would have them and my mom beside me. Money is just a tool but spending time with the people and animals you love and what gives you joy is more important over anything else. Thank you for this.

Tiffany i've been where you are now since 8 years old not money but how important people we love are and always wanting to make memories even though I had no money. Once I began making money helping my family was my goal and I did it. I wish I heard this 15 years ago. I could have done it so much better with this information.

Oooo so exciting to see you had Tiffany as a guest! Looking to gift some of her books this holiday. When I first got into the personal finance space YEARS back to learn myself it was Tiffany that taught me that we can increase our savings two ways; spend less and make more. Ideally we’re doing a combo of the two. ❤

One thing I learned as I grew older, is that I’m an emotional person. ( not outwardly). I had a dog that died, the first thing I did was scrub everything of him. I believe I wiould do the same for a loved one, because I can’t imagine me be able to deal with the reminders everywhere in my face.

Regarding the 6 transfers per month on savings accounts: That regulation was lifted by the Fed about 3 years ago. I think it’s because of the way life used to to be, men provides for his wife and kids and the wife not only creates children but raises them. When men don’t provide they feel useless. Men need to adapt and to this new reality and become more than just providers like back in the day.

You can date him, but you should not marry him and join assets. He should not know how much you earn or have. Keep everything separate. Love and marriage should have nothing to do with the woman’s finances. The man, in a patriarchal system, is required to bare the financial responsibility. If he relies on his wife to support him, he is going to resent her and become a threat to her safety. He should strive to out earn the men that his woman has access to. His competition is other men. But if he feels the need to compete with his woman instead of compliment her, he is a disaster waiting to happen.
