Here are 10 surprising traits of highly confident people. Confidence isn't something people are born with, it's something that's built. Yes, some had the resources to build confidence when they were younger, and some of us didn't learn how to build our confidence until we became adults. All of the items on this list are natural expressions of those who have built their confidence, and all of them, when practiced intentionally, will help you build yours so you can be more confident too.

mainly I'd say that confident people don't feel like they need to prove themselves to others because our own opinions and all tahta stuff is enough and also you value yourself and trust that you have what it takes to achieve your goals

ACKNOWLEDGE ACCOMPLISHMENTS is key. This was integral in my early recovery, and still daily practice for new challenges and inspirations. DAILY, make note of what you have achieved, first thing in the morning before any chance of negative self talk, and reflect upon the actions, will and resources needed to meet those goals. IT WORKS! Best wishes and practices for us all.

Being able to say no and not feel guilty about it. I find this terribly hard to do when it is immediate family.

1.)They know they don't need to be right. Is it necessary? Is it helpful? 2.)They share their ideas and perspectives about stuff and don't get offended when someone else does not share their perspectives. 3.)They are open to learning to from others. Apart from things that are really important to them. 4.)They are intentional and mindful in the way they invest their time and emotional energy. (Where they invest their energy.) 5.)They believe in themselves to achieve their goals. They believe in their resilience and compitences in accomplishing things. Without the idea of grandeur of perfectionism. 6.)They celebrate their successes. They don't discount their successes. They are jubilant in themselves that they did not give up. They are also able to celebrate others. They don't see other people's success as a threat. 7.)They are able to lift other people up. 8.)They practice a sense of belonging every where they go They accept who they are and don't try to fit in by pleasing people . 9.)They don't believe their self rejecting thoughts. (Everyone has 10.)They say No When they want or need to or Yes when they need. They do it out of choice. 11.)They are intentional in their choices, thoughts and how they show up every day. Thank for the insights. Wishing you more strength, courage and wisdom.

I have been a longtime comment lurker on this channel and have watched so many of Julia's videos in the past few months. I just want to say, thank you. These videos have changed my life. I realize that I was living a very unhealthy mindset kind of life and these videos have helped me find my true, authentic self. I had no idea what it meant to have a healthy mindset and Julia has changed my life. Good luck to everyone else out there embarking on their own journey. I hope you too can find peace and happiness in your life and the short time we have to live it.

Willing to let ourselves be challenged so we can grow into our potential and possibilities is so crucial. It takes a willingness to be vulnerable and to see that imperfection or mistakes doesn't mean not good enough or damaged. When we make that mindset shift, then we're able to show up authentically and confidently. Great tips ❤

What a phenomenal video. You have such a clear and precise way of explaining things. I really enjoyed these awesome truths. One trait that I have also noticed that confident and happy people have is humility. Humble people tend to have a true confidence about them, while haughty people tend to fake their confidence and just have low confidence in general.

I have watched many of Julia's videos and what I have learned is this. People who truly know what they are talking about, people who are really experts in a subject, can just talk about it. You have to ask yourself why 95% of videos like this on the internet have about 35 edit "breaks" per minute. Then Julia just gets into it and free flows. Don't get me wrong, I sure she puts prep into these videos and there is a break here and there but this is so refreshing. Someone who really (like really really) knows their craft. I really enjoy these videos!

I have a tattoo on my forearm, Its a life line like that you'd see on a heart monitor, It has a heart at the beginning a few peaks and low points then it flatlines into a cross with a few more peaks and low points after the cross, Above the flatline I have May 7th, 2016 *The day I wrecked my car* then in the cross it says May 8th, 2016 *The day I had an emergency operation to save my life from all the damage from my car accident* People think its the stupidest tattoo ever but the reason I have it is to remind me that no one not even the doctors in the operating room could believe I didn't die that night, but for some reason I survived and I honestly believe that's where the cross portion of my tattoo comes into play, it really was a miracle that I survived and the fact I'm here today still is a huge accomplishment in my life!

The damaged from that car accident was that I had a bruised heart and lungs, fluid around my heart, internal bleeding, 4 broken ribs, I lost 2 leters of blood, and I need 4 blood transfusions. My accident was the night before Mothers Day that year and by the time they got me to the hospital it was Mother's Day so my mother woke up that Mother's Day to a call her youngest son was in the hospital in the ICU recovering from a car accident. She came in to see me and I was so weak I couldn't even hug her or say Happy Mother's Day. I had a tube in the side of my chest draining out the blood and fluid. I spent a week in the ICU before being discharged.

hi! I wanted to know if not being too open about your life is a sign of insecurity? not like hiding things but like not wanting to share with everyone info about your parents, siblings, past, how your childhood was like some pretty personal dreams or plans. Is that insecurity? or just a personal trait

Thanks for the video- Much of what was brought up hit home with me - Preaching to the choir - I don't believe in myself - that I can do things even when my environment says otherwise. Perseverance takes guts, motivation, and strength. I feel jealous of another's success -- I am seen as Mrs. __ instead of who I AM or what I DO to help others besides my significant other. The negative thoughts keep ruminating and affect my outlook and behavior. I am retired now and kept to myself for many years. It is Good to hear these words. Not sure how to correct however...At least I am listening. Is life a big distraction?
