After receiving the Holy Spirit my prayers changed. I talked with the Lord all the time. When I am reading scriptures I ask, seek and knock at His door with lots of questions. He does answer.We are told in 1John, that His anointing remains in us to teach us and to lead us, and He truly does all that and more. When I am joyful, I pray, when I am grieved, I pray. He answers, He corrects, He encourages, He gives strength, and wisdom. I have nothing without Him.

This might be an odd request one that might have already been asked or answered but can you record your closing prayers. I know it sounds weird but I do pray still with videos. If you close in prayer even though its been years since you recorded it I would still bow my head and close my eyes and pray along

This is good…I think this prayer is a gateway to the presence of God. To enter His presence we must first see Him as our Father. To a child a Father is: 1. The literal reason they exist. 2. A person who has authority over them. 3. A person who has their best interest at heart🙏🏽

Tim this post was very interesting to me. I am older than your group there. I went to Kent State so I was surrounded by many diverse views both liberal and conservative. Stills song For What Its Worth really became political after Buffalo Springfield when it was played side by side by CSN &Y next to Graham Nash's song Chicago. The album set 4 Way Street has the live renditions and displays the true tone at the time. Amazingly in the 70s I used this song in Sunday school class for 8th graders along with a few other classic rock gems to explain how lyrics and poetry are used biblically. I also pointed out to the kids rhyme schemes so ABBA was my example that the Father can be found where we least expect Him. You did well on this for a guy that was not even born yet. ;)

Jesus asks us to pray this prayer every day. Tim gives us two examples of Jesus being led into temptation. One in the desert and one in the garden. Surely Jesus would have been tested more often as we are. He just never failed His tests. Does this then demand constant repentance from us. A constant reminder to turn around, yet again, when we deviate from the path.

Jesus did not fullfied his missions. And he knew that. The Gospels weren't written by Jesus disciples or help-keepers. I don't think it's fair on Jesus, he was only the mesager. Like many other Zealots that came before him. The early church made up pretty much everything about Jesus, and his mission, they painted him as "God". I don't think Jesus wanted anything to do with that fake bio and picture of him. Read your first Bible. May the Only God that created everything for his children's bless you.

Thanks for this Tim. In the same way, I'll use it. . . I dont know why, but it made me wonder of his "resurrection" . Cause this Jesus seems such a wonderful gifted human we can relate to . and only human. I wonder if his resurrection is only in the way of his wisdom continuing to live through in this way, and that was his poetic intent, that the "tomb" did not contain him. Or he literally did defeat death and was such a force of good and built such a relationship with God, that he did... But, does that even matter if it was in the literal sense, the outcome is the same? I dont know anyway, I still really appreciate this, ive heard many break downs of this prayer, it's a reflection on you and him that it could be so wonderfully profound . Its also reassuring that good people like you are still here in this place called earth

one additional point I did not hear in the lesson... The prayer shifts from God to us--not to me. So the provisions we seek, we seek for all of us as a local assembly. This ties in fasting Is 28 or 58, I can't remember which, which deals with using our excess for the benefit of others.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:01 🙏 Recognize the importance of prayer as expected by Jesus. 01:17 💬 Jesus' prayer, "Our Father in heaven," redefines our understanding of God. 03:05 🤔 Reflect on how prayers can become routine, losing their vitality. 05:24 🎵 Songs like "For What It's Worth" symbolize cultural movements; similarly, Jesus' prayer sparked a movement. 09:54 📜 Jesus' prayer is meant to reenergize a movement, not become a lifeless ritual. 12:11 🙌 The Lord's Prayer encapsulates the core of Jesus' teachings and his vision for the Kingdom. 14:29 🕊️ The Lord's Prayer structure aligns with Jesus' emphasis on loving God and neighbor. 17:51 🙏 Understanding "Our Father" reminds us to see God as Jesus did, unique and loving. 21:00 🙏 "Hallowed be your name" seeks to restore God's reputation in a world that misunderstands Him. 25:32 🙏 Jesus teaches that God's reputation will be recognized as holy and unique through His kingdom coming to Earth. 26:13 🌍 The Bible doesn't separate heaven and Earth as distinct spaces; they're meant to overlap, and God's kingdom invades Earth to restore it. 28:15 👑 Jesus is the one bringing heaven to Earth, reclaiming and restoring creation to its intended state. 29:11 🙌 The central announcement of Jesus is the arrival of the kingdom of heaven, which he inaugurates. 32:36 🍞 The prayer includes a plea for daily bread, teaching disciples to depend on God for their basic needs. 37:51 💔 Forgiveness is a central theme; disciples are to forgive others as they've been forgiven, cultivating a heart of forgiveness. 43:05 💪 The prayer acknowledges that tests and difficulties will come, but God's deliverance and presence are expected in those times. The part of this teaching (and most churches) I have issue with,and still have yet to receive an acceptable answer to is this-God OFFERS and is WILLING to forgive ANYONE that asks for forgiveness and repents. The Bible is very specific in saying that. Without the admission of guilt,and humbled asking of forgiveness..WHERE DOES IT SAY GOD WILL FORGIVE? The answer is,IT DOES NOT. How,is it then that we forgive BEYOND what God has shown. Of course,always be willing to forgive as commanded...but what if there’s no humbled asking of forgiveness? No recognition of guilt?? How is it taught to forgive UNLIKE God even does? If God did that then literally no one would go to Hell...which is clearly not the case. Does anyone have an answer,because this mans just didn’t seem sufficient. God never expects us to do something he himself doesn’t do. I admit I’m confused and could be twisted. I just want an answer....
@iwantthetruthandnothingbut6521
@iwantthetruthandnothingbut6521 4 жыл бұрын
In my humble opinion, the meaning is this.... God does show forgiveness to all human beings in a blanket like kind of a way. So that is a gift that is available to every human being if they are repentant. When Jesus asked us to forgive those that have trespassed, or sinned against us..... It is really more for us that we do this. It is because as Christians already, we understand the great forgiveness that God has extended to US, unless we extend it to others whether they are worthy or not, we will not be forgiven because we would be showing God that we did not appreciate what he has done for us in sending his son to cover our iniquities. If we hang onto or Harbor ill feelings towards another it damages our relationship with God and it damages us... not forgiving someone is like drinking poison, and hoping the other person will die..... the other person may be unaffected by our not forgiving them, but it damages us to hang on to those bad feelings... and it damages our relationship with our creator. We Are Made In His Image after all, and therefore we strive to have his attributes.
@zackreynolds21
@zackreynolds21 4 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the response,but it is literally no different than the typical answer I get and feel is lacking. Yes,be WILLING to forgive those who ask...but forgive EVERYONE FOR ANYTHING REGARDLESS OF IF THEY EVEN ASK/BELIEVE THEY DID WRONG? God said the only way is to humble yourself,admit your a sinner,and believe that Christ has paid your debt. I’m just not seeing where God is forgiving everyone,because if so...why would they go to hell? Surely,God doesn’t expect to do something He won’t? I’m confused,and I just want a satisfying answer. It’s really a bummer.
@HowDo-YouDo

I'm thinking the assumption is that we forgive WHEN ASKED for forgiveness, which probably means the person asking has humbled themselves. I don't think it's talking about a blanket statement of forgiveness. If someone doesn't approach you for forgiveness, then you don't need to forgive them, but you also shouldn't hold onto their offence.
@zackreynolds21
@zackreynolds21 4 жыл бұрын
@@HowDo-YouDo ok,but that is not the teaching of most Christian churches that I know. It’s “forgive no matter what.”. For instance,a person murders a loved one. The murderer doesn’t care at all about forgiveness,even revels in what they’ve done. The common teaching I hear is that you NEED to forgive them anyway,or you’re going against God’s teachings.
@HowDo-YouDo
@HowDo-YouDo 4 жыл бұрын
@@zackreynolds21 good point. We are to love our enemies and pray for them, but I don't think scripture says we need to forgive them if they're not asking for it. We should be going on with our lives trusting that God will provide vengeance. There are some teachings that churches have which sound nice, but may be a bit askew from what scripture actually teaches...not in a bad way, but maybe misguided...if that makes sense.

Sir/Maam God bless you Bro Mackie. I will go direct to the point & explain the "Lords Prayer". To get an accurate explanation of the so called "Lords Prayer", please read Matthew 18:23-35 "thy kingdom come" - which kingdom? Answer: The physical kingdom on earth, Jesus sitting a physical throne & ruling. This is called "Kingdom of Heaven" - a physical kingdom, coming soon. In Mat.18 Jesus was telling a story about a "certain King" with a throne, with servants. Pay attention to... The servant "worshipped the King". Why? Why would the greatest teacher tell a story about worshiping a human king? Who is this king in this story? Pay attention to... The servant did not forgive his fellow servants debt (trespass) to him & because of this the King did not forgive the the debt (trespass) of the servant. Answer: Jesus was telling a story about His future kingdom here on earth. "Thy kingdom come". Answer: In this kingdom on earth, you must forgive others in order to be forgiven. You will be forgiven based on how you forgive others. Tthe King did not forgive the servant, because the servant did not forgive his fellow servant. "forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors" (Mat.6:12) Answer: When that "kingdom come" on earth, Jesus (God the Son) sitting on a physical throne. Gods will will be "done in earth, as it is in heaven" (Mat.6:10) It is natural for Jesus to tell a story about His future kingdom & how He will operate it. The rules in this kingdom. It is best to have the "Lords Prayer" be explained by Jesus Himself thru the bible. Read Matthew 18:23-35 again & again. You will see & understand the true meaning of "Lords Prayer" & His future kingdom on earth. Thanks

It is time for believers worldwide to WAKE UP, get serious about reading the WORD, obeying what we read and STOP putting our trust in man! Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart turns away from Yahweh"(Jeremiah 17:5) We have been LIED TO in Churches about the Name above all names. Our Creator has a Name - YAHWEH and He put His Name upon His one and only begotten Son - YAHSHUA. Be on guard before Him and obey His voice. Do not rebel against Him, for He is not going to pardon your transgression, for My Name is in Him." (Exodus 23:21) We have been LIED TO about the SABBATHS of Yahweh. Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to Yahweh, to serve Him, and to love the Name of Yahweh, to be His servants, all who guard the Shabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My Covenant - them I shall bring to My qodesh mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer." (Isaiah 56:6-7) We Have been LIED TO about the COMMANDS of Yahweh. And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His Commands. The one who says, 'I know Him,' and does not guard His Commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. (1 John 2:3-5) It is time to PRAY for an opening of BLINDED EYES to understand His loving Covenant to ISRAEL, who we MUST be GRAFTED IN TO to become the children of Yah! It's time to shelve our learning inherited from "the whore" and become as little children to allow the Spirit of Yah to re-instruct us in the TRUTH! Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become as little children, you shall by no means enter into the reign of the shamayim." (Matthew 18:3) It's time to CLEAN UP our act and to cease wallowing in the abominations and lusts of the world! Come out from among them and be separate, says יהוה, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you." (2 Corinthians 6:17) A total enslavement is coming very very soon. Star Wars 'holy'? I'm a big Star Wars fan but calling it 'holy' goes way too far for my liking. The way I understand it is that for Jesus to return to Earth, the number of Christians will have to be at least 4.5 billion, double of there currently are. We need to pray and work VERY HARD for that to happen.

Not necessarily. I have a different understanding of Trinity. Father-Mind,Son-Body,Spirit-Soul. Made in Gods image for humans are the only creation with all three as one being too. Your body does nothing unless the mind commands it. The mind is in control. The body doesn’t know until and after the mind. It’s a simplified way of seeing it,of course.
