Yeah I feel that too. Grinding in games has always become a chore to me. I've gotten used to it when playing RPG games but it can sometimes be a drag too. Like for example in GTA Online you do nothing but grind for money if you want to get those expensive items in the game and it takes forever to do.

Speaking of hard difficulty: I hate when hard mode = bullet sponge enemies. I'm okay with the enemy damage being high as that makes you play cautious, but when you have to shoot a HUMAN in the head 3 times for then to die it's a total bummer.

There is that and then times when I'm in the middle of an awesome cutscene that I can't pause and I know I would have to replay the entire final boss fight in order to watch it again, and then someone starts trying to talk to me and I try to ignore them but then they just get louder and I don't know if I should keep ignoring and let the distraction continue or tell take a moment to tell them I'll be ready to talk in a few minutes; which will cause me to miss a few moments of cutscene for sure.

@@penthactussoul9455 I was never able to get into morrowind. I kinda wish i was born earlier so i could've experienced it, but no. I grew up on oblivion, halo 1 and 2. I heard morrowind was not only good because of the story, and guilds, but also you had to navigate around the world without a marker to guide you. Also, skyrim isn't a fuck up, but it still isn't as good as oblivion or morrowind. I prefer oblivion over skyrim for it's story, and especially for the shivering isles dlc. It's combat mechanics are ok. Certainly better than morrowind's combat, though i heard morrowind's quests are even more in depth. I prefer skyrim over oblivion for the combat, and i hope that elder scrolls 6 can be a combination of skyrim's combat with the quality of oblivion's questlines. fallout 76 was a true game that royally fucked up, and shouldn't have existed. I just hope it's not foreshadowing for elder scrolls 6. If elder scrolls 6 isn't as good as oblivion at least, then i'm boycotting it. Though oblivion aged pretty well, and i still play it sometimes.

Agreed but a lot of people will call hacks and report even if you win fair and square. But to me the funniest are the parents who get mad when they hear cussing on a adult video games. Earlier today I saw a review for a game I used to play called blockheads from a parent I agree on the most part with them but what they say later I disagree. Her daughter was in a sever witch is regulated by the person who owns that sever not the company. Aparrently some people tried to get her address and told the kid they we're going to send mafia to her house. Also one person had a naked photo as avatar. I agree with this parent for being mad here is where I draw a line. In this game there is a offline mode to play by yourself regular hard mode and custom rules. The parent goes on to say that she uninstalled the app and won't reinstall it unless they get rid of chat not add filters or anything but To get rid of chat entirely. And that's where I draw a line. Also in this game I owned a sever at one point when it cost time crystals and if I remember correctly there is a ability as admin to add a chat filter.

Speaking of lost save data. I was playing through bloodborne and got to Mergot's Wet Nurse. I felt pretty good. had made a lot of progress to get to that point in a short span of time. So I figured, I have more games I haven't touched. But I only had so much space on my PS4. I'm used to steam, right? So I uninstalled the games, thinking that it would back up my saves to the cloud. There are 2 things I absolutely hate. Hopeless boss fights because I usually use all of my items during these only to die... but then a cutscene springs up showing I was always meant to die there. Another is when you are absolutely decimating a boss, and just as you get their health to half, a cutscene interrupts and shows that your party was actually just hanging on by a thread. I'm looking at you Xenoblade 2. I just picked it up last week and the amount of times a cutscene will show the opposite of what was happening annoys me greatly.

In the 2013 Tomb Raider game there is a boss who is practically invincible, but if you shoot him up enough, it triggers a quicktime even which is if repeated multiple times, the guy dies. And I fought until all my ammo went dowd the drain, because the shitty quicktime event was apparently unavailing at the first try.

I hate it when a developer puts a spot light on a “revolutionary new mechanic” in a game that’s ultimately pointless and ignored. For example one thing that always bothered me after the E3 showing of Skyrim, “You can actually cook your food now!” Great... raw meet was 1hp and spending 30 min. to find slat and a fire with a pot and now it’s 5hp. Mean while minor healing potions are a dime a dozen and heal 50 hp. 🙄

They have hearing better than mine, so my volume is always too high for Miss Dog Whistle Cringer, and she ALWAYS asks that damn question. Yes, I need the sound! I need it so that I can hear the way the opponent sounds when they're shooting at me to determine where they are shooting at me from! I can hear that, and it's a lot more reliable than the mini-map. I also have ADD, so the volume takes up mental bandwidth so that I can focus on the rest!

As a game modder sometimes bugs are the dumbest and impossible to notice thing. Oh i cant put the equation like this? But if i split it in 2 now it works? They shouldn't just stop making more content and spend a year fixing something because by the time they fix it all their player base is gone. For instance i was making an additional settlement in a new world mod for fallout 4. Couldnt get it to connect with the commonwealth settlements. You wanna know what the fix was? I added another settlement to the world, not connected to the first in any way other than the default. I only fixed that bug because i continued to work on content.

When a notably difficult or glitch-prone boss battle has an unskippable cutscene before it. So every time you die you are stuck rewatching this same cutscene over and over again or redoing a conversation repeatedly. In particular I am referring to Saren's final fight in ME1, however there are other games I've run across that have done it too.

Most games are complete cause for DLC it can be in game items or additional story that is not part of the main story because take Mass Effect 2 and 3 as an example all the DLC's in those games just adds more into the story but really you would get the same results in the end even if you didn't buy any of the DLC.

i understand why they have such tutorials, its realy needed because a few times i did meet people in games what were not able to do things teached at tutorial because they skipped it issue is not that there IS a tutorial but that there is POORLY made tutorial, a simple text somewhere on the screen teeling basic controls is probably best thing, for example look at first crysis, for me its tutorial done right, unlike second crysis game where tutorial sucked, especialy that unskippable explaination how your suit powers work, thats annoying if you are speedrunning, or just playing again to get all collectibles or enjoy that short game for few more hours

I mean, Arkham Asylum did better with that at the end. You did get to fight Joker at the end, albeit a TITANed up version. Although Harley Quinn was very annoying in that respect. Seriously. You have this one bad guy/girl that's been irritating you for the past five hours of gameplay, but then you don't even get a boss fight with her. You just have your game of "The Floor is Electric" while fighting a bunch of guys, then she gets taken out in a cutscene when you wanted to punch her in the face yourself for the trouble she's given you. Casual players don't tend to stick around for long and the more competitive players normally play the game for a long time. If they want to keep the playerbase that is more likely to buy in-game items, they have to cater the game towards them.

But, it was never their fault, either! 2. When you're playing a game like OverWatch and someone starts clamoring about how we need a Healer, yet they're not willing to be the healer. 3. Last but certainly not least, because I think these people need to have CPS knock on the door. Is when I hear crying babies in the background of a multiplayer match, and they're not being nice to their kids. I'm not talking about a kid throwing a tantrum, or gets a scraped knee or something like that. I'm talking about; they're straight-up neglecting their children for a video game.

Like fighting games try buying Tekken and going online it may have a casual mode but the players aren't casuals. There's almost no such thing as a casual multiplayer game. It's all about winning

#2 could be lumped in with #8... have easy mode for casual players, have brutal mode for addicts. Let the game be simple for people who don't have much time to play, OR difficult as hell for people who have plenty of time to get good at it. Basically, they should have a minimum of 4 difficulty levels, each one significantly different than the last.

If you can't get a girlfriend/boyfriend when being a gamer, then you are clearly doing something wrong. Both me and my gf have been together for over 4 years now and we are both gamers. Heck, when she first started playing games on Xbox One (she is mostly a PC player) I actually reset my main on Destiny so I could do a full fresh run-through of the game with her.

I play more than anyone I know my age, and I've been playing games for longer than most people in the comment section have been alive, but I've never considered myself a "hardcore" gamer. What exactly qualifies one for that? Not trolling, serious question. For those of you who consider yourself hardcore gamers, what is it that makes you think that?

Just playing lots of games in my opinion. I mean personally my favorite game to waste my life on is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. But since it is a FPS (Well Tactical FPS) I get shit on by Dark Souls and RPG People. So personally i think that if you play a lot and your generally better then the average casual you could be considered "hardcore"

I think that's more about the frequency and the mindset. If you play alot and want to improve when you're playing, i think you can consider being a "hardcore gamer" .But i agree : today that don't make so much sense anymore ...
