My therapist's version of "don't go to the hardware store for milk" is "you can't ask someone for a million dollars if they don't have a million dollars." Not everyone is on the same page, and you can't change a person. Stop expecting a a person to change to meet your needs and getting upset when they don't/can't. It sucks, but you'll save yourself more hurt in the long run.

The friend part or should I say best friend part is true. I always wonder if my best friends were really my best friends because there are certain things they can't do for me when in reality, like what Megan said, a person can't be everything. That you need to know where to find what you need. I used to think that I give my everything to them but I don't receive enough back and then I see what she's trying to say. It's not always gonna be one person. You just have to know.

I think it’s also important to realize to that you can’t be someone else’s everything. And that’s I think the hardest part that I need to learn. Because I get so wrapped up in trying to be everything for someone else and I lose myself in it.

I’m a 21 year old Female Mechanic and in the last year or two I’ve also had a more spiritual soul reset. I’m so proud of my work ethic and how I handle my stress now especially when I’ve been given more responsibility at work and being the only female at my workplace it’s a lot of pressure but I know my worth and am also listening to my body and mind. Thank you so much as I really level with most of these. Ps, if you ever need them tyres let me know

I literally have NEVER loved a video more! This is so spot on! These same lessons on repeat in my head helped me pull me out of my negative thinking in my teens and some i still am working on on the daily getting out of the habit thinking like. Live in the present! Value yourself! Seems so simple but its a huge struggle for so many struggling with depression and anxiety or who may have a traumatic past. Keep sharing girl! You are the farthest from alone! And these videos will help and encouage so so many!

Yes about that “25 reset”!! I held all those life milestone expectations to achieve by 25 like if it were an expiry date - and almost none of them came to be. When I turned 25 in September, it felt like a whole new world, like the pages ahead were blank, like there were so many more options available than what I boxed myself in by. In so many ways it’s been a reset, and it’s all been so good. So with you, lady! ✊🏾💕

Your journey with taking care of your mental health has been so helpful 🥺 During my preteens/early teens, I watched a lot of 20 year olds talk about what they’ve learned and didn’t realize how that might have affected me. Now that I’m 22, I have been watching more people talk about what they’ve learned from therapy*. Your videos are my favorite because it actually inspires me. I am finally looking into proper counseling. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us and all of your lessons you’ve learned 💛🥺

Megan you have no idea how good it feels to hear you say all these things. It’s making me realize that deep down I knew some of these things already but hearing them from someone else makes me feel more validated and even more eager to start living better and more conscious of my mindset. Especially the best friend thing is something that I actually specifically discussed with one of my best friends before. I told her I felt like I wanted her to be able to support me through every issue but that I knew this was unfair of me and I just remember her completely not understanding what I meant by that making me feel even worse ahah felt like I was asking for an iced white chocolate mocha at the hardware store or something! So to hear you point out this phenomena and know you (and people in the comment section) understand what that’s like: Thank you. Thank you for helping me and others through being so open, and keep being yourself and feeling great! ❤️

I also feel like I didn't really get "it" until 29/30. If 20 year old me understood that life isn't that complicated if you just let things go and are adaptable and positive, I would have been much happier. Also, being assertive. My confidence skyrocketed in the last year in terms of advocating for myself and what I want. I'm too old to tiptoe around topics at this point. Life is too short and it's not that serious, so being able to communicate my expectations really helped me move forward as a person. I think the biggest thing I learned from my 20s to my 30s was how to be kind to myself and give myself a break if I fail. I was/am somewhat terrified of failing. Goes back to never getting any recognition from my father, I'm sure. But yeah.. it took me a long time to not beat myself up over every little thing, and I needed medication for that to fully not be a problem. So, to anyone in their 20s feeling like life is terrible or you're stuck, it's okay. You are doing just fine and if you feel you aren't, find a space to talk to others because you are definitely not alone.

I cannot begin to say enough about this video. I'm turning 40 this year and I still needed this as a checklist, a reminder of all that I have accomplished, learned and grown since my teens. I want to show my grade 7 and 8s this video, I think you would really resonate with them, especially #1 and when you talked about mindset. We talk about growth and fixed mindset in school and it's exactly that knowledge and understanding that positivity is key, that the youth needs to hear:). I'm definitely showing my age by saying "the youth." Thank you for sharing.

Love this. It’s all so true. I especially like the “you are your own solution” part, everyone is so much more powerful than they believe, I can fix a broken boiler and teach my son phonics and paint and so many more. Also it’s so important to realise that not everyone is able or responsible for giving you what you need, recognise that we are all imperfect beings and no one can be all things to all people xx

So the first video I ever commented on of yours I said that I felt like you were the voice/attitude of my inner monologue. I am so thankful you do these intimate/let's talk/sit down videos mixed in with your other amazing content. You've really put so many things into perspective for me and every lesson you give is one I remember! You are so appreciated and you do a lot of good for people. Keep it up!!!

Megan I freaking love you so much. I literally feel like we’re almost the same person. Seeing your growth and happiness makes me so happy❤️ I’m so excited for your future content! I’d love to watch videos where you go in more depth on each lesson or at least in the ones you feel you can talk more about. Sending you so much love, light, and abundance♈️💜
