@qbstailsnscales Жыл бұрын
Hypo has been around forever and therefore the lineage of hypo is so spread out that there is a very good chance you won't be breeding any closely related animals. Translucent has been around for a very long time too but for some reason when breeding trans to trans, the dragons tend to have neurological issues and sometimes are born with defects. Zero and witblits are still not diluted enough into the bloodline and are still known to cause birth defects.

Why are so many of these genes considered unethical to breed together? Does it not just improve the odds for offspring to visually have the gene?
@qbstailsnscales Жыл бұрын
Yes it would, but the offspring end up with extreme deformities that most likely lead to death. This is why its unethical. People will think that they will just get more of the genetic, but then they end up with a bunch of dead babies, all for the best chance at a bigger payday.
@kirstyward4932 Жыл бұрын
Read into dominant and recessive alleles. When you breed 2 recessive, what you end up with is weak and defective lineages. When you breed ethical and not just for looks then you have the health of not just this generation but the future clutches health also at the first foremost part of the breeding of dragons which is the difference between a backyard breeder and a true breeder.
