Another great tip for a cheap background for your bearded dragon's enclosure, is adhesive shelf liners, my bearded dragon's enclosure looks like a wood lodge (because he's a manly Meep). You can find them at the dollar store, or if you want it to be fancy, you can get a large sheet from Amazon for a decent price, and they're typically sold in 5ft or more in length. Also, I've been meaning to get some bee pollen, but I keep forgetting to get some, my boi Meep is super picky and doesn't like to eat his veggies, he did as a baby, but now he turns his snoot up at the salads I get him. Also, that female leather back made me think of my first bearded dragon, Piper. I miss her so much. She also needed a bra for that dragon rack lol. Meep too was a dull looking baby when I got him. He's brightened up in colours over time. He's got some beautiful blue bars on his back. And he beard is a light Orange.

She came to us morbidly obese and refusing to eat anything but superworms and crickets (handfed to her). She has been slimmed down and can now clumsily hunt worms in a dish. Have tried for over a year to get her to eat veggies. SHe will eat a few berries if presented in the tongs.

We fell in love with the bearded dragons we saw and interacted with. We will most likely purchase one later this year after some prep and research. I would love to learn more about them. My hubby and I got our bearded dragon, loki for free. The girl who had him originally couldn't care for him anymore. He was really tiny. Only 7inches long at most, and she had him for 2 months. She did get him at a pet store, so I'm guessing he was about 3 months old or so. Not really sure. My husband and I have had him for 2 months. He eats well and is now around 12inches. Maybe more. Last time we measured him was about a month ago. Thankfully he is healthy, and we got him out of a bad situation. This was fun to watch. Quite some information about bearded dragons, I once knew somebody who had one and I was pretty impressed by the bearded dragon. To me, they look a little bit like dragons but without wings. Good to know you can better buy them from breeders then from a pet shop and that they are good starter animals. They look like very tough animals, because of the little spikes they have on their sides. And I would have never guessed that they could lay so many eggs. I would have guessed around maybe 10 and maximum 15 eggs.
