Here are a list of the things that shock me while in South Korea: -Mopeds driving in the sidewalk. Sometimes they drive so fast on the sidewalks, I'm afraid they'll run into me. In the U.S., any motorist and sometimes even bicycles and skateboards are not allowed on the sidewalk. -When using the subway stairs or escalators, stay to your right unless you're in a rush and have to pass through. This is just common courtesy. -No one speaks to each other in the subway train at all. Not even friends. Everyone just stares at their phone like they're super busy with something. -In general, older generation are more friendlier than the younger generation. Younger generation are usually rude and can be pretty racist if you can't speak Korean. I'm surprised, as I thought it was the other way around as younger generation are more open? But I did meet some very nice and helpful younger people willing to help me when I'm lost around Seoul. -If you take a taxi and don't speak Korean, they'll try to rip you off by driving to unnecessary stops to run the meter. So don't take taxi's, only subway system. *For best experience, learn to speak Korean if you're a foreigner or have a Korean friend who understands the language and can show you around.

In my city in Canada, if you are taking the bus/subway, you can sit in the disabled people seats, but if someone who actually needs the seats, you are expected to give your seat up for them.
@EvilWolfGhost2 жыл бұрын
In my country there are also seats for the disabled and elderly but everyone sits there and won't get up if there is space to sit anywhere else (majority of the time). When I was in Korea I even saw elderly people who were standing by those seats and wouldn't sit. Even when the subway was crammed with people those seats were free for the disabled and elderly. Honestly I found that very nice. Also!! They voluntarily stay in a line and wait for the train to come, then all the people exit (even during rush hour there wasn't any bumping into other ???) and almost literally one by one enter. That surprised me soooo much because the city I live in is literally 15 times smaller than Seoul and people push each other and are so rude... I loved Seoul for everything, but riding on public transport was so peaceful I'll never forget that!

Hold/tape it against the camera lens and flash. Then, choose a photo or video mode that will let you keep the flash on. My top things: 1. A Soju hangover will make you want to die. 2. Never get in a drinking contest in Korea (see number 1). 3. Be sure to get your hair cut at a proper hair salon. 4. Always get a business card from your hotel. 5. Incheon Airport has a great spa. 6. Korean Garlic chicken will make you stink, for days. 7. Many bathrooms have mouth wash (see number 6). 8. Cake: Koreans love cake, coffee, and cafes. 9. There is a convenience store every on every block. 10. After six beers, OB starts to taste pretty good.

I love the list of items you made. The lack of trashcans shows how well-mannered people are and prefer to take the trash home instead of littering. No plastic bags in the future, NYC did the same just recently. No drinking at the park is a bit of a bummer but I get it, kids are around you don't want drunk people around them. I would say *most* cafes have Wifi and it's part of the culture so those that don't need to get it or close their doors. No Smoking is just good for everyone, NYC led the efforts on this some years ago too. The subway is just amazing! I live with the NYC subway and believe me it sucks so much I even made a video about how good Korean Subway is! Free Banchans are sooo amazing I love trying new ones all the time and Korean food, in general, is pretty unique and amazing! Nice Video!
