I actually think that it is possible that CM Punk getting his official release on his wedding day wasn't intentional. On the very same podcast with Colt, Punk had another complaint about a time when he and AJ had requested time off to attend a friend's wedding. They were told that their request was granted, and they made plans to attend the wedding. A little before the wedding Punk gets his schedule and finds out he is booked during his requested time off. So, even when it was just a talent relation's issue, they messed up the schedule. So, it is *possible* that there was miscommunication between the legal department and talent relations on when to send him the paperwork. A release he wanted by the way. That should've been more reason to celebrate that day. It was WWE's wedding present to Punk in a way. Look it is just as likely that it was sent intentional to mess with Punk, but it is possible it wasn't. Either way Vince should've called Punk and apologized privately instead of apologizing on the Stone Cold Podcast.

Did he think "Oh wow, u shoulda fired me after my wedding" no sir, u quit, so ur gonna get fired at any time now
@BiggieTrismegistus2 жыл бұрын
I don't really get it either. If the WWE made it so the firing happened on his wedding day, that's unbelievably petty but also the kind of thing you'd have to expect after walking out of the company like Punk did. I also honestly think Punk owes an apology to the WWE's doctor, Chris Amman. Amman may have lost the defamation suit Amman filed against Punk and Cabana but Punk's claims in that famous podcast interview are bullshit. You shouldn't say the kind of things he said and not apologize afterwards. Punk unfairly dragged Amman's name through the mud because he was pissed off at WWE. That's fine and I understand where Punk was coming from. But you have to make sure your criticisms are fair and Punk's most certainly were not.
@Scorprock1022 жыл бұрын
I see ur point, but cm punk was marrying AJ Lee who was still hired by WWE, they fully knew it was wedding day so the apology is kinda bs, but it's also not good to fire ur workers (aj) husband on her wedding day
