I really like listening to your advice. These are all great tips. My long term GF passed away 2 years ago. I am 64 in shape. Do things. This is all new to me. My real issue is finding time to really pursue and give the other person what they deserve. I have learned over the years being unselfish with time resources and being available is a big deal.

Did you ever notice if you actually did write things out you retain them so much more easily than if you just read them a few times?

Thanks again Carrie. I look forward to your videos. I usually feel confident when showing up but maybe for the wrong reasons. I'm feeling very fatigued over "OLD". It's so disappointed that my dates never appear as their pictures or seem to make much of an effort for a first date. I've had no reason to have a 2nd for nearly a year. I spend extra time grooming, dressing and showing up as the best I can be. The last date asked me for a current day photo before we met and then showed up at least 10-15 years older than her own profile. Not fair 😕

@ivanvarykino8202 I heard “videoing”is really the first date these days. That way you don’t waste any bodies time ‘getting ready.’ Also, wow lots of first dates for you. Maybe you are the common denominator in dating all these woman. So what if it’s an old picture, did they ALL have nothing to offer you either? Is it all about looks for you? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just curious.

@@karynreed8936 Good question. I shouldn't make it sound like it was so many and so 1 sided. Last year I had quite a few firsts. This year I wasn't as motivated so very few. Definitely not all about looks. I read and re-read profiles. And there were 1 or 2 that I was immediately smitten with. Of course in both cases it was not reciprocal. Just like in literature and the movies 😄 Regardless of photos, a profile is the determining factor. I agree that video chat is something I need to request. I used it a couple times in the past when it was necessary due to distance. All the best to you!

@@carolinebrown8965 I understand. I just made an entire episode on the differences between dating in your 20s vs now! But as a Matchmaker who is setting up all my clients on blind dates, they can choose to see it as nerve-racking or exciting. Part of it is a state of mind!
