Part of the answer is DECIDING (not hoping or trying) to quit. If one has made a firm decision, nothing should be able to move one's hand to perform the act. I have a strong libido, and can't even watch videos or read about matters describing sex or discussing the female body without getting at least some arousal. At 70 y/o I can vouch that the urge doesn't go away as one gets older.
