Taking care of your clothes is so important. As for ironing, I wouldn't want to do it for a living but I enjoy ironing my clothing. Since I don't put a lot of my garments into the dryer I need to iron them to make sure they look polished. I also use a clothing shaver to get the pills off of my sweaters. Your videos are so helpful and informative. I love your black handbag. Omg it's gorgeous!

Hello Dear. Thank you for your comment. This coat is from &other stories last year or 2 years ago. I couldn't find it on their website but maybe try second hand market. It’s 100% wool but not very thick and structured. I hope it helps😊

I so agree about clothes maintenance, especially ironing. I used to think I hated ironing, then I realized that what I hated about it was that I always got really overheated doing it in my warm laundry area, that has all the appliances with their pilot lights, etc., in it. Adding a big fan really helped that problem and now I find ironing rather relaxing. I just leave everything in the laundry area that needs maintenance, from shoes to clean, to alterations to do, to ironing, until I have time to do it and never put anything back in my closet unless it’s 100% ready to wear. I leave my ironing board set up, my full-size steamer out, and have all my maintenance items, like shoe care things, clothesline and hangers, drying racks, etc. right there. (I made this “laundry room” by sectioning off the area of my garage that has the laundry machines and adding a few old cabinets, that way my clothes aren’t exposed to the dirt in the rest of the garage, which opens to dirt, not paving).

My beauty routine is very basic: good, simple haircut, clean hair, body and teeth and bare, shortish, well-manicured nails (clean, the same length and shape, smooth). On a daily basis I only wear a moisturizer/sunscreen and lip balm. Makeup is for special occasions nowadays; I had to wear makeup every day during my corporate career to achieve the expected polished look, but I’m retired now. I always preferred a very natural look anyway with “invisible makeup” and have no talent for hair styling, so I just go with my natural texture. I get more fun from styling my outfits.
