Travel Capsule Wardrobe for Summer and beyond.
Slightly delayed video but hopefully still useful for any trip you may have planned. I’m sharing what I took on my 2 weeks holiday and my thought process behind it. Easily adjustable for a transitional period going into Autumn (Fall).
First of all - love Manchester!! If you ever have a chance, you MUST visit.
It’s a great place and people are super nice and friendly!!
Typical holiday with kids where we tried to accommodate everyone’s interests. Relaxed but put together travel capsule worked perfectly in a city centre, museums, old libraries (John Rylands Library, also called a real life Hogwarts!) or theatre play with our girls.
Comfortable but chic to roam the streets of Northern Quarter - quirky and charming area with independent and vintage shops.
As we were just 2 hours away We drove to North Wales and spent a lot of time at the seaside, playing in the rocky rivers and simply sight seeing. The best time!! Highly recommend!

I'm only 7 minutes in and I agree with you so much!! Your color scheme is exactly what I like to bring with an accent of blue as it's my favorite color. Your first travel outfit is perfect and I have all of the pieces! Not only is this comfortable but it's stylish and gives off the vibe I like. This will be my new travel outfit example so I snapped a photo to keep so I will remember. I'll be looking for a line/viscose blend when I shop for black trousers but here in the states the only blends I've seen are line/cotton and linen/rayon.

I like solid and minimal style but sometimes it gets boring ,I started injecting some bright colours and fun prints that is non constricted making it a bit more fresher and modern

I’m afraid I cant remember (or find anywhere) the make of those sandals as it’s been around 3 years since I got them. I have found a similar pair at Dune that looks like a very comfortable supple leather (minus the criss cross style). Maybe you can try those. I hope it helps a little🫶😊

Love your channel! I live in South Carolina and the weather here is warm a lot of the time, but we do get cooler weather which gives me a chance to add blazers, which I love. My overall wardrobe has a great deal of the same things you are showing in your travel wardrobe, so your ideas for packing are fantastic. Thanks for this video. I am planning a short trip the first week of October. I imagine transitional pieces may be appropriate since we will be entering early fall. I too learned to my lesson not to over pack. It does really help to have a color scheme when planning a travel capsule wardrobe. I love your black trousers. Are you a petite? hello Diane, Thank you for your comment. If youre planning your trip to Europe I would say an extra trench coat/leather jacket or a blazer and a cashmere jumper will do the trick. Everything else should be fine. It may get more rainy by then. I’m a 170cm tall. xxx😊

Those black, wide-leg stretchy trousers with the buttons look perfect for travel, are they the sold out Massimo Dutti ones? When I plan to travel, I look at both the forecast and the annual averages for the time of year where I’m going, weather is unpredictable everywhere, not just in Europe.

its a tough one, I dont know what size or weight you normally are. Definitely wouldn’t recommend mens t-shirts because they are longer. But if you go for your usual size or 1 down you should be ok. Also depends what fit youre going for - oversized or loose. From my experience COS t-shirts are relatively short. hope that helps

Kimberly, these clothes were prepared for my trip in the UK, where we drove and didnt have to worry too much about the space. I never try to fit into a small suitcase, because I travel with children and need a lot of change of clothes and extra stuff and I dont like to be too limited. I may need to make another video with a small suitcase for most people, who need to pack small😊
