Hello, Let's Read. I appreciate you publishing my story, it means a lot. I'm the one who wrote #3 and it turns out, "Brandon" was messing with me all along. Of course, I was 18/19 at the time and naive, having been in very few relationships so that's why I believed him for the most part but soon got out of it. I'm embarrassed about the story but again, appreciate you posting it. That was nice of you. I'm 22 now and seeing some of these comments personally attack me are utterly ridiculous and don't know what they're talking about. My decisions back then may have not been smart, but I was a teenager with little experience. I'm not going to make the best decisions in life. I will definitely post on your subreddit again if something terrifying happens to me.

One of my biggest problems with number three is that he didnt tell her about all of the "animal" things and that stuff right away. I was once also in a long distance relationship Sparrow Cunningham, it wasnt this bad, but still understood. First three months were good, after that, terrible. Tried everything I could to make her be happy again and nothing worked. I eventually said that if she loved me like she did she wouldn't have been a you know what. But left her, she said she cut herself, I went back to her, asked for a picture to prove she wasnt lying (cause I'm a fact based person, I love conspiracies but you know) and she wouldn't and gave stupid reasons why. Next day I dropped her again and that was that. Still talked for a month, but then she said some guy kissed her later, and I said we were completely done, and she cried about it now cause it wasnt her way that she thought I'd crawl back hoping I saw other people wanted her. Thanks for anyone to have read this, I know it's long but I've only really told one person the story and I guess its nice just writing this now. Thank you.

"they told me to share these pictures to make you jealous" sounds like a super made-up excuse to show your gf pictures that you're getting from other women. I wanna say the entire story is fake, but it's just too dumb sounding to be untrue. I hope she realizes the dude is toying with her so she can leave him lol.

I came close to getting conned by some lady from a cult while I was working one day. It never came to my mind it was an odd thing that she was interned in knowing about me, and asking questions that only friends and close people would ask til one of my managers warned me about her. She had tried to con her and another co worker in the past. Kinda creepy, so I asked management how to deal with situation in the future.

I've had people try that with me before too. Not only asking personal questions but trying to find out my daily schedule down to the minute and where I live. It only takes about 2 questions to realize what they are doing, especially if you ask a question and they side-step it. Not answering your question before asking you another question is a clear sign they are simply fishing for info to scam you with. What I do when that happens, I LIE to them. A Lot! It's hilarious when you say some completely random or outrageous thing, and they get that screwed up look on on their face because they didn't 'practice' a question/reply for anything out of the ordinary. Con artist: 'Well what are you doing Wednesday?' Me: I'm going bungie jumping with my 80y/o mom. It's something she's always wanted to do so why not?, Oh Saturday? My whole family is going to the skating ring for a family roller derby. I got new skates, wish me luck!'

OMG the one in Downey, California. That's my hometown so I know that well, not to mention I used to work near there. I've been to that building quite a few times and stuff was going on from when I was in high school, so a little over 20 years ago. There is actually a few abandoned hospitals in Downey that are haunted or said to be haunted that kids like to do stupid crap in. Cops are always around though and Downey cops do not play around so you've got to know where to park and where to hide. LOL wow been awhile since I've been there, Downey has changed a lot so I don't know if they are even there anymore.

Story 3 is why long distance relationships with no plan to actually close the gap is a bad idea. Me and my current long term boyfriend met online, through YT actually, and were long distance for a year and a half before we closed that gap, and had planned to almost a year before. And even that takes a lot. Long term relationships with no planning for anything more in the near future make no sense to me, honestly. After so much time, you don’t truly know what they’re doing offline or in their real life, and Vice versa. And if there’s not constant communication all the time, it can go south in no time. AND if you’ve been long distance for a good amount of time, but still haven’t actually met up with the person irl or spent any time them in person, you can only know them so well.
