I'm from Texas and I have a lot of family in east Texas, especially Houston. I remember wondering why my mother was so careful about my trick or treating. It wasn't until I was a teenager that I learned the truth - Ronald O'Bryan. He's known as "The Man Who Killed Halloween." He's also believed to have possibly killed other kids, though there was no proof, and probably targeted his daughter Elizabeth, though she didn't eat the Pixy Stix. Evil monster. The other death row inmates called him "The Candyman." When I tell people about this nowadays, they don't believe me - then I Google it. They're always shocked.

23:22 I knew and went to the same highschool as Devon Griffin, Oak Harbor highschool. His online gamertag was purple people eater or something like that. I was also a gamer but was 2 or 3 years younger than Devon so we really never hung out. He was a pretty normal kid considering what happened to his entire family when he was younger. He was on the swim team, had a tight friend group and was generally pretty cool to talk too. I always felt so bad for the guy but really never knew the details about what actually happened until i was probably 17 or 18 and he had already graduated. I have a real scary story ;( : So me and my mom just got back to her place. When we went inside I heard these weird tazer noises, when I went outside, (THIS IS TRUE) I saw boys with bandanas wrapped around their mouths to disguise themselves, then I got this bad gut feeling and at first I thought it was some boys playing a trick on someone, but it went a little too far..... So my mom rushed me inside. I was like: What's going on?! Why's this happening?!, then when I heard my mom's friend/best friend call the cops, I started to have a panic attack. I will never forget what happened that day. They caught 1 of them, but some of them are still roaming around... This IS a true story that happened to me today on Halloween.

A dad poisoned his own child years back. There are no documented cases of kids getting purposely tainted candy from a stranger. That is an urban legend. Everyone thinks it's true, but it is not. No kids have ever gotten candy with razor blades in it.
