from what i have read it was the cost 1899 was even more expensive to make than Dark so Netflix has certain expectations if their shows costs a lot to make but yeah i wish we could have seen where the story was going i hope the creators do a novel continuation

Really enjoyed Citadel and looking forward to the spin-offs. Yes the 'twist' was fairly obvious, but the show itself was great for a TV level show and happy that it is going forward. Probably a good thing it is on Amazon Prime and not Netflix I guess

I think that was mostly because The Peripheral was eye wateringly expensing. However, Citadel was eye wateringly bad - so should have also been cancelled.

I was a Quantum Leap hater, but they did do something new to the formal and that’s serialize it. We know what’s actually happening to the lead’s home time period, but also, seeing the temporal effects of time being changed by the leaps

I'm a very long time Halo player - and you know what - I found the show pretty enjoyable , possibly because McElhone's Hallsy was brilliant - but also because they actually did a good job covering the backstory of the early Spartan program (the kidnappings etc) and the look and feel was pretty spot on. Did I miss having a gravel voiced Mastercheif - yes - but as there are about 5 actors in the world big enough to play him their list wasn't very long - that being said - Alan Richson would have probably made a better choice but he was likely already tied up with Reacher.

Peripheral didn't have the ratings to support it's cost or the fact that it would have to wait years to even release because of schedules getting fucked by the strikes. It was an awesome show imo (I've rewatched it at least twice since it dropped), but it didn't have the ratings to warrant pushing back everything in the 2025 schedule for years to come.

Quantum Leap is really good it’s also a sequel or more a continuation of the original. They mention Sam and everyone else they are very respectful to the original. Also, the Witcher definitely announced that Liam would be the new Witcher I’m confused how someone would think it was cancelled.

It's mostly wishful thinking from the Cavill fanbois/girls. Hell, they started review bombing the entire series as soon as the annoucement was made (almost a year before S3 aired) and then they would stick their heads in the sand any time someone pointed out actual reasons for Cavill quitting or that despite their attempts to get the show cancelled it was still doing better than previous seasons.

Never even heard of Fubar but might check it out because of Arnie. Citadel was a weird show, clearly spent a lot of money and got some big name actors but was a completely bland and predictable show. The very obvious twist towards the end of the first season I really don't think was enough to make me want to watch the next or any of the various spin-offs. I think the show might have worked better into the future if they had kept the amnesia plot for the main guy especially with the revelations that came out about his character. And I still stand by the theory the Halo show was meant to be a Mass Effect show.

Eh... to me the issue with the halo tv show was that they decided to do an alternate timeline. It was halo, but it wasn't. One of my biggest beefs was that the Spartans didn't have the cybernetic ports in their heads. Halsey just injected Cortona into Master Chief. Just so much wrong with this...

John could still show up in the series just not be the focus. Second and even more important would have been to have the sub plot be about ODST instead of that girl and whatever mystical crap was happening with those people she met.

I got one of the first ever copies of Halo when it originally dropped (when XBox first came out). Absolute die-hard fan of it and all things Halo. I think the fan “hate” was from the plethora of “fans” that just wanted to see the game story told via real life…I went into it hoping they’d be true to looks of armor, weapons, creatures, ships but take it on a new adventure line, which they did. Albeit the side story of the girl was a buzz kill as it felt disconnected and just an attempt to add something that didn’t need to be there. They did 75-85% of things right but people are greedy and want 100% or nothing. I thought season 1 was outstanding. Looking forward to season 2 and hoping it’s not the final season.

Same here - I've played approximately one hundred million hours of Halo (ish.....) and consider myself a bit of a fan of the games - I really liked the series - it looked great and felt good. The actor playing the Chief didn't really fit very well vocally, but that was always going to be extremely difficult to do - not many 6foot 6 actors about - but he did a decent job. I also think they did a decent amount of stuff about the back story (Halsey's kidnappings etc) and, I'm a bit biased, but McElhone was superb.

I'm really happy for Halo S02. Didn't play the game, so I'm not biased, and IMO this is a very good sci-fi show. Quantum Leap is nothing extraordinary, but nice, so I'm still happy. From - is a great show, and I'm eager to see where it goes next. The rest, I don't know.

Three reasons the halo tv series is unwatchable for diehard fans: 1. Your not supposed to see chiefs face: Between six games and two cameos in spin-offs, you see his actual skin a grand total of once, and that was just his eyes 2. No humans in the covenant: the covenant believed the very existence of humans is heresy, and the entire war, was a zealous attempt to wipe them out 3. All humans are reclaimers: in the show, they try to make it out as though chief has a special marker in his dna, making him a reclaimer, but in the games all of humanity are the reclaimers, which is why the covenant hated them.

FUBAR was a lot of fun. The vibe reminded me of a slightly cruder True Lies with a great ensemble cast to back up Ah-nahld. Twisted Metal was awesome, & hilarious, so glad it got the teased Season 2.

Interesting list right off the bat! I dont know HALO as a Franchise... I know very little about it - I know as a First Person Shooter it does teh UNTHINKABLE... IT ACTUALLY HAS A STORY! very few FPS games have a story... But as I dont play teh game and dont normally play that style of game... I dont know the story! Even if I did though... Taking a genre like First Person Shooter and transferring it to a TV Show or Movie... It is NEVER going to meet the expectations of Die Hard fans as when you play the game - Your experience is individual to you! It is YOUR experience... But when you watch a TV Show based on that - Its not your experience anymore... The clips I saw look good... I wish I knew the games story more to make a fair comparison ... Maybe I will give it a look and then watch someone's Game Lore Videos to see how they stack up... QUANTUM LEAP is a cult classic from its day... I have not see the Reboot yet! I will be honest - I am too nostalgic for the Original! Again, Not going to judge it until i have at least tried to watch it... I did that with Netflix Resident Evil - And HOLY CRAP!!! Other than Lance Riddick as Albert Wesker - And I dont care, he was amazing... If they can find an actor as great as he was... MAKJE WESKER BLACK!
