I remember that video...and it reinforced a thought that I've had for a very long time. Blythe strikes me as the kind of guy who is always acting or putting on an act to come across as a hip guy. Like he always wants people to think that he is some sort of literary expert/enthusiast..and the of course he had to let everyone know that, he's 'too cool' to like Megadeth. Just strikes me as a smart ass that has this false sense of self appreciation.

When I saw Pantera open for Black Sabbath , Phil laid flat on his back and mumbled incoherently for about half an hour , and then complained that Sabbath were only giving them an hour to play. It was massively disappointing , but Sabbath saved the evening by playing a set that nobody could have topped . Phil said he had injured his back though , and I believe he was telling the truth. I think he might have been cold turkey or something . I don't hold it against him though. I'm glad he survived his addiction

Oderus is the man. There's 3 bands I never saw (& now never can see) that I kick myself in the ass for missing. GWAR, Type O Negative, & Motorhead. & I had the chance to see all three, I just was always like "Oh, GWAR is coming again? Awesome! But I'm kinda broke, I'll catch em next year." Cuz they used to come to town quite a bit & I just always assumed there would be a "next time", u know? Now that I'm older & have learned that's not the case at all, I make sure I get off my ass when someone comes to town that I like. Oh, Pantera too. Damn it- four bands...& prob plenty more if I actually thought about it. Got to see The Ramones before they all died, though.
